Amadeus Yancey stepped past her and walked over, the butler quickly poured him a glass of water, but Amadeus Yancey didn’t drink it, just found a seat and sat down.
Only then did he lift his eyelids and glanced sharply at the babbling Shania Yancey, sounding seemingly gentle but laced with a biting chill: "Has Aunt been very idle lately?"
One sentence stifled Shania Yancey’s words.
"I’m just concerned about you." Shania Yancey was a bit embarrassed, her face flushed, and felt Amadeus Yancey, as the younger generation, was not respectful enough to her, holding a bit of suppressed anger inside, though not daring to show it too openly.
Amadeus Yancey nodded slightly, his eyes darkened, looked at her again: "I’ve already got people investigating Ian Edbert’s case, before the truth is uncovered, better not to accuse soone of a cri within the family, just to avoid you slapping your own face when the truth cos out. I’m not one to care for such things, but since you’ve spoken in everyone’s presence, if it turns out this matter has nothing to do with Ian Edbert, you’ll have to apologize to a junior, and I wouldn’t feel comfortable with that."
He appeared indifferent as he laid things out for Shania Yancey, indicating very clearly that if the matter wasn’t related to soone under him.
Then Shania Yancey would have to apologize to Ian Edbert!
Shania Yancey’s face turned red as a pig liver, a glorious mix of green and red, looking at him in utter disbelief.
Amadeus Yancey was open and let her watch all she wanted.
"Further, don’t trouble yourself with my girlfriend’s background! Even if my girlfriend was after the Yancey Family’s money, as long as she wants it, I’ll give it to her."
He even lanted a bit: "It’s a pity she refuses to spend my money. If Aunt has a way to make her spend my money, I’d be grateful."
Within three sentences, Shania Yancey’s old face was almost torn apart, her irrelevant red face stifled to a violet, almost fainting in anger.
