He was baffled by his own strange mood, loosened his grip, and maintained a polite distance from her before turning back to the girl and saying, "Since your friend is here, I’ll leave now. See you later."
"Mmm." Nathalie Quinlan didn’t bother with the awkward phrasing of his sentence, and waved casually.
Jaycent Kingsley, seeing her in a better mood, stopped talking unnecessarily, nodded to Amadeus Yancey, opened the car door, got in, and then rolled down the car window to wave goodbye to the girl.
In no ti, the red Buick drove out of the hotel entrance, disappearing down the road.
Amadeus Yancey finally retracted his line of sight, gently swept the short hair that had slipped down her brow aside, and said softly, "Nathalie the Goddess, shall we head back to talk?"
He was very close to her, his breath landing on her face, so close that it seed she could touch his chin if she just looked up.
Nathalie Quinlan, hearing his teasing voice calling her "Nathalie the Goddess," felt her eyelid twitch, pulled her duckbill cap down, and said shortly, "Mmm."
She thought there wasn’t much to say.
But every ti Amadeus called her "Nathalie the Goddess," nothing good ever ca out of it!
Nathalie suddenly felt inexplicably anxious, like she had been caught doing sothing wrong, even though she hadn’t done anything, she oddly felt like she should be guilty of sothing.

The interior of the Paradise Hotel was magnificently decorated, and it took just a few minutes to get from the ground floor lobby to Nathalie Quinlan’s room.
Nathalie led him to her place, pulled out the room card from her pocket, swiped it open, and stepped inside first: "Co in."
Amadeus Yancey closely followed her footsteps into Nathalie Quinlan’s room.
The room was not large.
It had a big bed, a few scattered personal items, and Nathalie casually left her laptop on the table.
The black laptop looked ordinary, but Amadeus knew that Nathalie used a top-of-the-line micro-computer.
It’s just that the laptop’s appearance had taken a bit of a beating; Nathalie almost never bothered with how it looked externally.
So her laptop often led people unfamiliar with such technology to think it was so kind of cheap, old student computer.
Amadeus Yancey took a quick scan of the not-so-large room and could see most things clearly.
At this point, the girl grabbed a bottle of mineral water from the table and tossed it to him: "Hey, here’s your water."
Amadeus caught it with a reverse hand motion, but didn’t drink it, just played with it in his hand.
Nathalie didn’t care whether he drank it or not; after returning, she tossed her phone on the bedside for charging, opened a bottle of water for herself, took a long gulp, and then capped it, leaning casually against the nearby single sofa, propping up her leg, looking laid-back, and raised an eyebrow at him: "How did you know I was in Inderia?"
Nathalie suspected he had installed a tracking device on her, otherwise why did she always run into him every ti she went out?
But it was unlikely.
"Was it Mr. Norton or Mr. Wafford who told you?" Nathalie felt she shouldn’t overlook anyone and placed the mineral water on the nearby table, tilting her head to look at him, "Or was it Master Cadmus?"
Surely soone must have told him; Amadeus wouldn’t have found her otherwise, right?
"None of them."
"Hmm?" That answer was a bit unexpected for Nathalie; she slightly lifted her head, very nonchalant, but her gaze stayed fixed on him without blinking.
Amadeus Yancey thoroughly enjoyed being the object of her gaze, his thin lips curling up as his mood suddenly lightened.
