Everyone else in the room was taken aback upon hearing his voice.
Shawn Norton looked shocked: "What? Mr. Dax?"
He instinctively looked toward Master Cadmus: "Master Cadmus, did you call Mr. Dax?"
Master Cadmus was equally baffled: "I have no idea."
Jackson Wafford was completely dumbfounded next to them, and finally reacted the sa way as Shawn Norton: "Master Cadmus, wasn’t it you who invited Mr. Dax?"
Master Cadmus: "..."
He didn’t!
It was only then that Nathalie Quinlan noticed the ssage Caleb Dax had sent, asking which hotel she was staying at and her room number.
She twitched the corners of her mouth.
At the door, Stanley Zachmann had already stepped aside for Caleb Dax to enter.
Caleb Dax hadn’t expected there would be so many people in Nathalie’s room, so of whom he recognized.

Nathalie demonstrated that indeed it could!
She paused for a second, resting her chin on her hand, and said with great certainty: "An online friend!"

"You hadn’t ntioned this before, I thought you two didn’t know each other, but turns out you do." Shawn Norton, being more outgoing and cheerful, wasn’t too concerned with the details. He readily accepted the explanation of an online friend and had just said sothing to Nathalie.
"Knock knock!" Just then, the door was knocked on again.
The string at the back of Nathalie’s head was about to snap. She darkened her gaze and looked outside the door.
Who could it be this ti?!
Stanley Zachmann promptly offered: "I’ll get it."
He had gone to open the door just now, and he was doing it again.
The hotel room wasn’t big, so he took two steps and was by the door, turned the knob, and soon opened the door.
