Nathalie Quinlan received the heart-shaped sticky note and went upstairs.
She opened the childishly folded little square.
On the pink notepaper was a big heart.
The child’s immature handwriting was crookedly scrawled with this one line—"I, along with Uncle Audrick, Uncle Alfred, and Uncle Amadeus, we love Sister the most. The little guy’s wrist wasn’t very strong, so the handwriting looked like it was scratched out by chicken claws, but for so reason, Nathalie felt very warm inside.
She folded the note back into a heart shape, carefully tucked it into her laptop.

Nathalie didn’t reply to him right away.
