Hendrik felt a vague sense of unease and grabbed his wrist, furrowing his brow, asking, "Where are you going? I’ll go with you."
Leonardy looked at him profoundly, then released his hand, simply saying, "I’m just going out for a bit, don’t overthink it, stay at ho and take care of your mom."
Hendrik was pushed away, paused for a mont in astonishnt, and a strong sense of unease suddenly surged in his heart. He looked at him sharply, hesitated for a mont before speaking out, "Dad, I just heard the people on the phone ntion Nathalie Quinlan’s na, they..."
"This matter has nothing to do with Nathalie!" Leonardy imdiately interrupted him sternly, his pair of eyes, honed by years, looked at him briefly before withdrawing his gaze, and said slowly, "This has always been our family matter, it has nothing to do with her, don’t drag her into this."
"But..." Hendrik still felt uneasy.
"No buts, I’m going out for a while, if there’s any news I’ll call you." Leonardy insisted firmly, took the car keys, and walked out.
Hendrik could only watch his figure disappear at the villa entrance.
Outside, Leonardy’s car started up quickly.
Hendrik stood in place for a long ti, eventually moving, pulling out his phone as he walked upstairs, he said to Celine Tucker, "Mom, I’m going upstairs to call Mr. Barness."
"Go ahead."
Celine Tucker was filled with relief over Caryn Zachmann’s temporary safety and didn’t pay him much attention, waving her hand to indicate for him to go up.
Hendrik glanced at her, then looked away, dialing Evron Barness as he headed to the study on the second floor.

Nathalie Quinlan received Sadam Vinson’s phone call at ten o’clock the next morning.
She had just gotten up, taken a cold shower, and when she turned around, Sadam’s call ca through.
Nathalie, feeling rather irritable, walked over, picked up her charging phone, and answered his call.
Before she could even say ’what’s up’, she heard Sadam’s anxious voice from the other end of the phone, "Nathalie, where are you?"
Nathalie’s lashes flickered slightly, she reached out to look at her phone, turned down the volu, and said softly, "Rhine."
Sadam hastily replied, "Change your clothes, I’m coming to pick you up right now."
Nathalie rarely saw him so urgent and couldn’t help raising an eyebrow, asking an additional question, "What’s going on?"
On the other end of the phone, Sadam hesitated for a mont after hearing her question.
Following a brief silence.
Nathalie heard Sadam tentatively ntioning, "Uncle Zachmann was beaten and ended up in the hospital, learned he has three broken ribs, fortunately, the police arrived in ti, or who knows what could’ve happened. They say Evron Barness sought the police, yesterday Uncle Zachmann received a mysterious phone call and went out alone, Hendrik was worried, contacted Evron, who located Uncle Zachmann’s phone through connections, and the police found him at an abandoned factory..."
"When they found him, he was already unconscious. The police didn’t find any suspicious individuals nearby; they might have gotten away upon hearing sothing."
Sadam didn’t expect such an event to unfold in Beijing.
The Zachmann family in Beijing, not excessively influential, is at least part of the circle.
A circle is considered a circle because relationships are intricate and complex; getting into the circle implies having so connections within.
