Nathalie Quinlan frowned slightly, half-closed her eyes, reached out to put the phone to her ear, and politely said, "Hello."
On the other end of the phone, there was the almost chaotic sound of running, along with the noise of ambulances, very noisy.
Then she heard the person calling her on the other end, panting heavily as they said, "Ms. Quinlan? Mr. Zachmann is not doing well!"
Nathalie Quinlan’s hand suddenly tightened, the knuckles of the hand holding the phone protruded, and everyone in the hallway heard her voice as cold as ice, "What did you say?"
Hendrik Zachmann, Stanley Zachmann, Audrick Zachmann all looked at her.
Even Sadam Vinson and Govert Griffin, chatting not far away, turned in her direction.
But Nathalie Quinlan seed not to see them, holding the phone, walking to the side, speaking in an extrely low voice, "What exactly happened?"
Mr. Zachmann had recently beco much healthier, and his insomnia had improved a lot.
Not long ago, he was happily telling her that he would move out of the nursing ho soon and go back ho.

Nathalie Quinlan’s fingertips were slightly cold, and beneath her eyes brewed a storm, her dark eyes thickened, seemingly harboring a beast ready to pounce at any mont.
"What happened?" she asked again.

The person on the other end finally found an opportunity to answer her, stamring, "This morning, soone sent a package to the nursing ho, addressed to Mr. Zachmann. We thought it was just an ordinary delivery and gave it to Mr. Zachmann."
"Who knew it contained a severed finger, saying... saying it was Ms. Zachmann’s finger. Mr. Zachmann couldn’t handle the shock, his blood pressure skyrocketed, and he collapsed imdiately."
Nathalie Quinlan’s eyes narrowed sharply.
First, Leonardy Zachmann was found with three broken ribs at an abandoned factory, then soone sent a package to Mr. Zachmann containing a severed finger of Caryn Zachmann...

Those people almost wrote "arrogant and domineering" on their foreheads.
She never wanted to deal with Caryn Zachmann’s ss. Caryn was greedy, wanting too much and getting into trouble, so any punishnt was deserved.
But those people shouldn’t be arrogant enough to involve Mr. Zachmann.
She never thought they would be so bold, knowing the old man’s health wasn’t good, yet still sending a package. Clearly, they wanted to take his life.

Nathalie Quinlan’s face showed no expression, but the rebellious aura around her intensified. Her lashes lowered slightly, covering her eyes, her voice hoarse, "I’ll be there imdiately."
Then she put away the phone, stood up, paused for a mont, and said to those who watched her make the call, "The nursing ho called to say Mr. Zachmann has fainted. I’m going to pick him up."
