Shania Yancey’s face turned an exciting mix of green and red.
Amadeus Yancey responded with a hum and lifted his eyelids, his dark eyes glanced in the woman’s direction before he spoke slowly, "Since it’s been ntioned, that’s fine. Cousin, there’s one more thing."
"What else?" Shania, having just been jointly embarrassed, couldn’t keep her composure anymore. She could only endure standing there, her heart unsettled, dryly responding, "Just say it directly, no need to be polite with your cousin."
"Heh." Amadeus chuckled lightly, his emotions unreadable, yet he appeared relaxed on the surface. "This ti, it seems that the person who betrayed the family is soone from your side. Cousin, how do you plan to take responsibility?"
After seeing the things he brought, Shania had been fearful of this, which is why she was the first to speak out to curry favor. Who knew that what should co, still did.
She stamred, "He betrayed the Yancey Family, I will definitely give you an explanation... I..."
"That’s not what I ant." Amadeus interrupted her, "I ant how do you plan to give an account to the family?"
Shania: "..." What does he want!
"Your subordinates have caused irreparable damage to the Yancey Family. Surely, cousin, you don’t plan to leave the family without an explanation, do you?"
A seemingly casual remark, yet it weighed more heavily than a thousand pounds.
Mr. Yancey initially wanted to diate, "Amadeus, this matter..."
Amadeus, however, showed no compromise, his stance very firm: "Cousin must certainly give an account to the family, or else how can others be convinced. Hmm?"
Mr. Yancey, knowing his temperant, secretly sighed in his heart. Looking over at Shania again, there was a hint of sympathy in his eyes.
Shania seed to be paying the price for her past insolent remarks.
Indeed.
Without waiting for Shania to respond.
He languidly said in a low voice, "The Yancey Family’s branch in Inderia has been under cousin’s managent for years, and cousin hasn’t had ti to rest all these years. How about this, I’ll find soone to temporarily take over your branch, and you take this opportunity to rest well, recuperate, and take care of your health."
This is... directly kicking Shania out from the main mbers of the Yancey Family!
Shania’s expression suddenly changed, her face a bit pale, she looked at him abruptly, her hands clenched into tight fists, wanting to refute, but it was as if her throat was gripped tightly, unable to speak.
After ntioning the follow-up arrangents, Amadeus dismissed everyone.
The Yancey Family Residence quickly fell silent.
Only Candice Yancey and Fredy Yancey were left behind.
Candice lived there, being of direct descent, and since Amadeus had been away for so long, she certainly didn’t want to leave.
As for Fredy, Mr. Yancey kept him there.
Mr. Yancey watched as his grandson swiftly dealt with Shania and also cautioned the other mbers of the Yancey Family. Seeing that he seed about to leave without even having dinner, he couldn’t help but rub his temples and ask, "Aren’t you having dinner at ho tonight?"
Ian Edbert had left first.
Alfred Garland was cleaning up the ss.
Amadeus lowered his gaze to his phone, just having sent a ssage on WhatsApp to a contact saved as Q asking [Where], he looked up at Mr. Yancey, appearing very leisurely, then pocketed his phone with a half-smile, "I’ve made plans with soone."
"Who?"
Mr. Yancey had barely asked before he imdiately understood who he had plans with and waved him on to leave quickly.
However, just before Amadeus left, rembering recent events in Beijing, he added, "Oh, right, Caryn Zachmann’s case is going to court next Wednesday. Tell Nathalie not to worry, I’m keeping an eye on it for her."
