Nathalie Quinlan felt a bit bewildered, her movents sowhat slow, her usual arrogant gaze subdued, her dark eyelashes drooping, fingers pressing down on the brim of her duckbill cap, unsure of where to put her hands. Her eyes definitely weren’t looking in Amadeus Yancey’s direction: "Hmm?"
Amadeus Yancey stood there with an elegant and handso posture, lips slightly curled as he watched her, quietly waiting for her ’explanation.’
At first, Nathalie Quinlan stubbornly resisted saying anything.
After holding out for a minute, she couldn’t manage it anymore and surrendered: "Didn’t really think much. I was just a little surprised at the ti, that’s all."
"Just a little surprised?" Amadeus Yancey’s voice rose slightly, carrying a tantalizing tone that was quite alluring.
Nathalie Quinlan had never been pushed like this before, and as she reconsidered, she found it strange. She looked at him again: "No, I didn’t necessarily have to tell you back then, did I? We weren’t well-acquainted then..."

"We’re already good friends, and you’re still saying we’re not well-acquainted. I’m a bit hurt."
He placed a hand over his chest, claiming to be hurt, but the lazy, teasing expression on his face showed not a hint of actual sadness, clearly just teasing her.
Amadeus Yancey had always been said to be one of Beijing’s three incomparable beauties, with only the sky and water able to rival his looks, indicating just how handso his face was.
Now, this close, that breathtaking face was enlarged right before her eyes, causing Nathalie Quinlan to suddenly feel a bit flustered, her gaze roving over the corners of his lips that curled into a dangerous and mischievous smile.
Just then, an ill-tid voice suddenly interrupted.
It was Sadam Vinson.
