"Ah, Ghania, you’re not going?"
Soone said, "Did you leave sothing in the classroom? I can run fast and go back to get it for you."
Ghania Quinlan forced a smile, "I’m not going, you guys go ahead."
To avoid bumping into Nathalie Quinlan face-to-face, she even lied, "It’s sothing not very convenient for others to fetch, I put it in the small pocket of my backpack."
As soon as she said that, the girls present imdiately understood.
Sanitary pads.
Every girl carries a few to school during those days of the month, usually hidden in a small pocket of their backpack.
"Then you should go." Ghania’s reason was impeccable, and the girls all spoke up for her, forbidding the boys from asking further questions.
Ghania breathed a sigh of relief, her gaze complicated as she glanced at the tough-looking girl and nodded her head before hurrying away.
Yesterday at the hospital scared her to death, Nathalie acted like a madwoman, even slapping her across the face before the public.
And in front of the Fisher Family, she made a fierce declaration that she would not let her off.
The truth was, she had been very scared at that mont, and after thinking about it before going to sleep that night, Nathalie was only so arrogant because she relied on a man; she wasn’t really capable of doing anything to her—what was there to be afraid of?
But any ti she saw Nathalie’s face, she would rember what happened at the hospital and that child whose surgery outco was unknown.
What if that child ended up handicapped...
Distracted and unwilling to think further, Ghania greeted her classmates and hurried away.
"Why did she leave?" Jhovany Sullivan was originally bristling, ready for Ghania to co over to brag and stir up trouble.
To her surprise, after gearing up ntally to deal with her, Ghania just left on her own.
Scratching the back of her head, she looked puzzled, "What’s Ghania playing at? It’s not raining blood, is it? She loves to show off usually, and now she’s not doing it. Doesn’t make sense."
Justin Wafford also found it nonsensical, "Got to pee?"
Jhovany glared at him, rolling her eyes, "Like I don’t pee enough!"
"Heh, you just have weak kidneys, I’ll give you a bottle of latonin so day and you’ll be fine," Justin said, and without waiting for Jhovany’s confused reaction as to why he ntioned latonin instead of Six-flavored pills, he turned to Nathalie, "Nathalie, why did Ghania leave at the sight of you?"
Jhovany, the fool, hadn’t paid attention to how Ghania left; he saw it clearly—Ghania stopped suddenly upon seeing Nathalie and then split from the group from Class B and went back to the classroom without waiting long.
This was quite thought-provoking.
He observed the girl beside him, whose star-like eyes had retracted their brazen air of banditry, yet the corners of her eyes still betrayed a trace of wildness, and on her slender nape was a bright red mole.
Her pupils were very dark, as if indifferent to everything around her, yet when she heard his words, her brows raised sharply, tearing a piece of the half-eaten bread in her hands, she responded indifferently, "Probably feeling guilty as a thief, I guess."
Feeling guilty as a thief?
Uh, why did he feel like Nathalie’s answer contained more than ets the eye?
So what on earth did Ghania do!
All day long, Justin Wafford tried to coax the truth about Ghania out of her, and if it were an ordinary high school girl, she might have been tricked into revealing the truth long ago.
But the person he dealt with was Nathalie Quinlan.
He was bound to be disappointed.
Right up until school let out, Nathalie didn’t reveal a single word to him.
Once school was over, he found it even harder to catch Nathalie; within a few minutes of the school bell ringing, the classroom was already empty.
