If she’d known that this piece would eventually win an award, she would’ve taken extra care to check it thoroughly and not just settled for second place.
Grandma Tucker said she didn’t win first place not because the piece wasn’t good enough, but mainly because it wasn’t suitable for piano.
After all, Nathalie had only learned to play the piano for a short ti. Even if she had accidentally co up with a piece, that’s just what it was.
As Ghania thought of this, she was extrely annoyed, but what was done was done, and she could only console herself that she had at least secured second place.
"Her dad’s a Tsinghua University professor, and her cousin’s a big star, so maybe her birthday party will be quite lively," she said, her seemingly gentle tone dripping with insincerity.

"Her? Haha. Ghania, the social celebrities your parents invited are all on a different level than her small, trivial birthday affair!"
Ghania’s lips couldn’t help but curl upwards. Her starry eyes fixed on Olivia, and she flashed her a great big smile, suddenly inviting her with arrogance, "Olivia, do you have ti this weekend? Would you like to join Sylvia and at my birthday party?"
"Really? Can I co?" Olivia didn’t expect to be invited.
Ghania’s birthday party seed to be a grand affair with many invitees, but in reality, she hadn’t invited many students from her school.
The two or three people Ghania invited all ca from affluent families, like Sylvia Cadwell, whose grandfather was apparently a director; thus, Ghania had invited her.
Normally, Olivia got along well with Ghania, and Ghania liked hanging out with her, but Ghania hadn’t invited Olivia to her birthday party.
Ghania smiled slightly, "Of course, it’s true. Do you have ti? Would you like to co and have fun? I rember you also take piano lessons outside of school, and my grandma knows a great piano master who will be attending my birthday. You should co too."
If Nathalie had been there, she would have definitely caught the arrogance in her tone.
Unfortunately, Nathalie wasn’t there, and Olivia was too green, too imrsed in the excitent of getting to rub shoulders with the upper class to catch on, excitedly jumping up to grab Ghania’s hand, hurriedly nodding her head.
"I have ti. I will definitely go early on Saturday morning!"
Ghania’s eyes hid disdain, but her lips curled up slightly, her tone a proud politeness, "Good."
The ti spent at school always seems so fleeting.
In the blink of an eye, the end-of-school bell rang.
Nathalie had just finished packing her bag when she received a ssage from soone.

But Jhovany was patting her shoulder, grinning with a ’I understand’ expression, saying, "Don’t worry, Nathalie, I won’t tell Mr. Sullivan. You have a... friend (boyfriend) picking you up, so I’ll head off first."
