His mom had ntioned before that his second aunt was even more beautiful than so female stars in the entertainnt circle when she was young.

At the ti, he had dismissively said there was no proof without pictures.

Now, he believed it!

Instant face slap.

Divine!

anwhile, Nathalie was casually chatting on the phone with soone on the other end.

"Damn, the Quinlan family really kicked you out? They’re truly disgusting! They used to exploit you to save your cheap little sister’s life, and usually, they’d hypocritically moral-bind you with the identity of being family. The mont they see you have no more use, they imdiately kick you to the curb!"

"If you had known, you wouldn’t have wasted your effort treating Ghania Quinlan. Do they know anything? Would Ghania’s illness even get better without you, would that ill-fated girl who wasn’t supposed to live past twenty be cured? They think hemophilia is like a cold that gets better with amoxicillin and a good sleep!"

Nathalie saw soone approaching and lowered her eyelids, speaking indifferently, "No matter what, the Quinlan family raised . Curing Ghania’s illness can be considered as paying them back for their kindness, so from now on, I’ll have nothing to do with them."

The person on the phone clenched their teeth, speaking resentfully, "Do you not realize how much you’ve helped the Quinlan family over the years? Without you, what makes Jeff Quinlan think he could expand his business from McKinney to Beijing, does he think he’s sothing special?!"

"And your sister, how often she had you tutor her, help her compose music. Has their family not taken enough advantages from you?"

"I used to think they were your biological parents and sisters, and I just felt they were biased. But after finding out they are not related to you by blood at all, I realized they are just shaless!"

"They knew you weren’t their biological child, they never really treated you as family, and still, they had the nerve to exploit you so shalessly. Is their skin made of titanium platinum or what?"

Nathalie humd in agreent, feeling that the description was quite apt, and with a smirk, she replied, "When did you start studying ’Chinese Language’, even knowing about titanium platinum?"

"I’ve always known!"

Seeing Audrick Zachmann approaching, Nathalie lowered her voice, "I have sothing else to handle, can’t talk now, hanging up."

"Where are you staying tonight? Want to co pick you up from McKinney?"

"No need, my family is coming to get ."

"You really want to find your birth parents?"

Nathalie’s gaze was indifferent, her voice low, "Every fallen leaf has a root; at least I need to know where I co from, who I am."

The person on the other end of the phone fell silent for a mont and said nothing more.

Nathalie didn’t want to guess what he was thinking at that mont, whispering, "Hanging up."

She hung up quickly, and by the ti Audrick had arrived, she had already ended the call and put her phone into her clothes pocket.

Everyone likes things and people that are appealing. Audrick approached with a welcoming smile and took the initiative to help her with her belongings, greeting her, "Nathalie, right? I’m your cousin, Audrick Zachmann. You can just call second brother."

Nathalie glanced up at him. Audrick was tall and handso, with a pair of narrow peach blossom eyes that gave a harmless warmth as if always smiling. A lock of his forehead was dyed a bright purple, ostentatiously reflecting his irreverent and flippant personality.

Huh, she seed to have seen that face sowhere before.

Nathalie had face blindness; she generally couldn’t rember unimportant people. She filtered through the faces of people she knew in her mind, then let it go when none ca to mind.

"Yes. Hello, I’m Nathalie Quinlan." She greeted politely, appearing quite well-behaved—at least that was how Audrick saw her.

"Grandpa can’t manage the plane because of his leg, so he asked to co pick you up. He’s on the train and will arrive later. Your dad and my parents have reserved a place to eat at Waterfront Pavilion. They’re probably already there, so we should head over."

Audrick chatted with Nathalie while trying to help her with her bag.

"Nathalie, I also have a friend in the car; he will join us for dinner. You don’t mind, do you?"
