His words were partly joking, partly mocking, clearly showing he didn’t believe the first-ranked student’s grades could be much higher than the ninth-ranked.
Zeus Tanzil narrowed his eyes; his handso and genteel face always seed amiable and easy to talk to, but whether his real character beneath that facade was as approachable was only known to those close to him.

"What?" Stewin Hoffman was the first to react, digging in his ear, suspecting he had heard incorrectly. "You’re talking about the total score, right?
Everyone knows the total score is 650.
"I’m asking you how many points that girl got."
Zayn Fisher and Ghania Quinlan both tensed up, with no expressions on their faces and remaining silent, but anyone could see they were nervous.
