Ivy Wilmar was agitated and ignored her.
Just then, Myles Sullivan, who had been outside taking a phone call, ca in and looked around at everyone in the room.
His expression was grave as his line of sight moved past Ivy Wilmar and Ghania Quinlan to rest on Juan Wilmar, "Juan, is there a way you could erase the punishnts on Freddy Cagwin and Nathalie Quinlan?"
"What are you talking about? Why erase them?" Ivy Wilmar, still not understanding the situation, was the first to stand up in opposition.
Myles Sullivan, thinking about the phone call he had just received and seeing her trying to assert dominance and pressing Nathalie Quinlan for an explanation, was instantly filled with irritation.
He didn’t waste words but said to her directly, "Jecksen Wilmar is at the police station, right? I’ll drive later. We’ll go pick him up and take him to apologize to Freddy Cagwin."
"..." Ivy Wilmar thought she must have heard wrong, a look of bewildernt on her face.
Myles Sullivan spoke quickly, not seeking her opinion but giving instructions, his pace rapid yet steady, "Before we see Freddy Cagwin, we’ll first go to the mall and buy so nutritional products to make sure we have the proper manners. I’ll talk to Jecksen Wilmar, we are going there with sincere intentions to apologize. I’ll prepare a check for three million and hope they are willing to accept it."
Before, when he ntioned giving Freddy Cagwin one million, his tone sounded almost as if he was doing Freddy Cagwin a favor.
Now ntioning three million, he was worried Freddy Cagwin might not accept it.
The attitude difference was too great.
After stating this, Myles Sullivan wasn’t yet reassured and looked towards Jeff Quinlan, who also hadn’t grasped the situation, his dark eyes flickering, his tone rarely gentle, "Brother-in-law, you know the Cagwin family well. Co with us later. I need your help to speak well for us to Freddy Cagwin, to persuade them not to pursue matters further with Jecksen Wilmar. We will find a way to compensate for Freddy Cagwin’s loss... Let’s put an end to this matter, please!"
"Uh." Jeff Quinlan, who had hardly slept last night, still thinking about the ss with Freddy Cagwin and Jecksen Wilmar being hospitalized, had not imagined that this incident would resolve easily and certainly did not expect Myles Sullivan to make such a request. He was stunned for a long while before he chanically nodded, "...Okay."
After saying all this, Myles Sullivan then turned his line of sight back to Ivy Wilmar, who was almost bursting with anger, and rubbing his forehead, his expression resigned, he stressed, "This is also what your mother wants!"
"My mom’s wishes?" Ivy Wilmar couldn’t believe it, "How is that possible?"
"Take a look at this first." He handed her the material he had obtained from Beijing that afternoon, indicating for her to have a look.
By the ti Ivy had finished reading, her face had already gone deathly pale, hardly believing her eyes.
Jecksen Wilmar had truly courted death.
And he had been caught red-handed!
Seeing her change in face color, Myles Sullivan continued in a grave voice, "Simon Cadwell called just a few minutes ago to tell that, because of what we did last night, Jecksen Wilmar will serve at least three years in prison. If we keep on struggling... whether or not Jecksen Wilmar will end up serving his full sentence, even he can’t guarantee! Now, the only option in front of us is to apologize!"
He had previously thought about threatening Nathalie Quinlan, to try and downplay the issue.
But then Amadeus Yancey stepped in.
He issued a threat.
If they refused to admit their wrongs, then Jecksen Wilmar would be dealt with strictly by the book, and not a single favor would be offered!
What could they do?
They only had the option that Nathalie Quinlan had previously ntioned; to take Jecksen Wilmar to apologize to Freddy Cagwin, and furthermore, to rescind any punishnts on Freddy Cagwin...
Myles Sullivan’s headache was splitting, he felt no confidence in his heart, unsure how much of the situation he could salvage.
