Shawn Norton would normally not be receiving people by this point, but his expression softened when he saw her, showing their good relationship, "You’re here?"
"Yes." Stephanie walked toward him, smiling brightly, "There was a traffic jam on the way, so I was a bit late, but my well-wishes are not. Happy birthday to you, may you live as long as the southern mountain, with fortunes vast as the eastern seas, always accompanied by good health."
"Let’s skip the ’live as long as the southern mountain’. At my age, I don’t care for such empty phrases. To live another day is enough, as long as I make each day count without regrets," he replied.
It was clear that Shawn Norton was in a good mood as he added, "But I suppose I won’t have any regrets now."
Stephanie knew what he ant by having no regrets. He was referring to Lighten Chaser’s agreent to participate in the upcoming music exchange conference.
The guests for this music exchange conference included leading figures from the music circles, both dostic and international. Mr. Norton had devoted his life to promoting traditional music on the world stage, yet he always struggled to find soone capable of carrying out this mission. As he aged, he worried that after his passing, traditional music, without the presence of a master like him, would gradually lose its place, overshadowed by Western music.
Now, things were different, with Lighten Chaser present.
Stephanie couldn’t help but picture the girl’s striking face in her mind, and she deeply understood his feelings.
