Now reading: Chapter 629: She’s Not the One with the Highest Piano Skills from The Unveiling of Secret Queen, a Romance novel by Brother Ling.

Celine Tucker and she are mother and daughter, thinking alike, and though Shawn Norton as a compensation wasn’t bad, she pursed her lips and spoke without changing her expression, "Mr. Norton, you ntioned you have a student you favor—’he’ must surely be here today. Might I have the honor to et him?"

She used ’he,’ not the female ’she.’

It was because she was very confident in her heart that there wouldn’t be any girl in Beijing who could surpass Caryn Zachmann in musical attainnt.

If there were, it would probably be a male.

"Yes, Mr. Norton, we too would like to see the student you hold in such high regard. He must be truly outstanding."

"Mr. Norton, is your student also here? That’s wonderful. I would love to see what Mr. Norton’s student looks like and broaden my own horizons."

The people in the banquet hall looked around them for a mont, trying to see who might be a likely candidate.

From behind.

Govert Griffin hadn’t expected this turn of events, he lowered his voice and leaned in to Sadam Vinson’s ear, asking, "Mr. Vinson, you really predicted it. Mr. Norton didn’t take Ms. Zachmann. Hiss, but when did Mr. Norton have a student? I’ve never heard about this."

"Don’t ask , I haven’t heard of it either." Sadam Vinson put his hand behind his head, his posture carefree and indulgent. He amusedly looked forward to the dramatic twist and said with a smile, "But I must say, this has piqued my curiosity. I too want to see who Mr. Norton’s student is, soone who could be considered better than Caryn Zachmann and worthy of Mr. Norton’s attention."

Govert Griffin turned back, his face displaying a complex expression, "Yeah. In the Beijing circle, Ms. Zachmann is the best—beautiful, academically successful, and an excellent pianist! Ms. Zachmann’s pianist skills can be said to be the highest in the circle..."

"She is not the highest." Sadam Vinson lazily corrected him at this point, "There’s soone whose piano skills are better than hers. But that person wasn’t as ostentatious and stopped playing the piano much after growing up. If that person were willing to engage in music, perhaps Mr. Norton might have taken them."

Govert Griffin didn’t know who he was talking about, tilted his head, and, quite wisely, didn’t press further, continuing instead, "In any case, among her peers, Ms. Zachmann’s piano skills are considered high, and her composition just now was good too, played well, and cleverly incorporated elents of folk music. I really don’t know how Mr. Norton could not be impressed. How outstanding must the person he appreciates be?"

Sadam Vinson dismissed what he said about Caryn Zachmann’s "composition not bad, played well, and clever inclusion of folk music."

He had said long ago that everything Caryn Zachmann showed off was learned from Lighten Chaser. The composition this ti was indeed good, but it was just that.

The impressive part was all derived from Lighten Chaser’s techniques.

Yet she hadn’t been able to grasp the essence of Lighten Chaser’s style; her learning was superficial and strained.

It could only be said that Lighten Chaser’s own style is so distinctive that even if Caryn Zachmann had just learned the basics, it would still dazzle soone like Govert Griffin, who wasn’t very familiar with underground music, at first listen.

Sadam Vinson raised his eyebrows and looked towards the stage, noncommittally saying, "I don’t know. But whoever Mr. Norton has taken interest in must be nothing short of exceptional."

Having said this, he turned his head again, looking towards the empty seat on his left, gestured with his chin, and asked Govert Griffin, "Nathalie still hasn’t co back? She’s been gone too long for just a trip to the restroom, right?"

He looked at his wrist to check the ti.

Nathalie Quinlan had been out for nearly 20 minutes.

She wasn’t applying makeup, and there wasn’t the issue of going to the restroom for touch-ups, so 20 minutes really was a bit long.
