"Mr. Wilmar?" Derliand noticed she hadn’t spoken for quite so ti and furrowed his brow to call out to her again.

What was the matter with Ivy Wilmar? He was helping her arrange a eting, and she couldn’t even be bothered to assist, not even picking up the conversation she herself had initiated. Did she or did she not want to arrange a eting with Mr. Wafford anymore!

Ivy snapped back to reality, eting his urging gaze, her mind sowhat chaotic, and forced herself to utter, "Ah, right."

That was all, a single dry word without follow-up.

Derliand almost choked with frustration, awkwardly smoothing things over, "Mr. Wilmar was probably not expecting to encounter you here, Principal Wafford, and got a bit distracted. She ntioned wanting to invite you to dinner quite so ti ago. It’s fortuitous because her niece, Ghania Quinlan, also got accepted into our school this year with a decent score of 589. Although not as high as Nathalie Quinlan’s score, Ghania took the route of an arts student, and this score is considered top-notch among previous students who have taken the joint entrance exam."

Principal Wafford scanned the crowd and his eyes briefly touched upon a girl clutching her bag with an anxious expression, but he quickly looked away after a re glance, "Hmm, this year’s joint exam for Tsinghua University did produce a few students with excellent scores. They are all promising students."

"Exactly. Who would have known both Nathalie Quinlan and Ghania Quinlan hail from the sa place? I was curious when I reviewed their files, it seems they even co from the sa high school, both attending No. 1 Middle School initially. But later, Ghania transferred to No. 5 Middle School due to her father’s work." Derliand, as if having made a fresh discovery, added excitedly, "Hey, now that I think about it, their nas are quite similar too, both sharing the Quinlan surna."

Nathalie Quinlan was visibly irritated, half-squinting her eyes—a sign her acquaintances knew all too well as her impatience manifesting.

Ghania and her party also felt a bit unsteady upon hearing him speak like this.

Forget Ivy Wilmar, she hadn’t even regained her senses yet.

Emilia Sullivan and Jeff Quinlan wore unnatural expressions. Jeff was sowhat better off, having grown open-minded after the Aunt Cagwin incident. Emilia, however, was different; the prideful look that had been on her face had vanished, replaced by a mixture of paleness and awkwardness, a downright embarrassnt for her.

The Quinlan family relatives were also stirred up, each glancing between Ghania and the casually standing Nathalie, understanding as clear as day in their minds.

Just monts ago, Emilia had been boasting that Nathalie had not gotten into Tsinghua University, claiming Nathalie only scored 400 points, not even qualifying for an interview at Tsinghua.

Ghania, on the other hand, was different: she had a good score of 589 and was highly regarded by Professor Derliand from Tsinghua, a future full of boundless prospects ahead of her.

Now it seed the one with a boundless future was not Ghania but the very Nathalie Quinlan who, according to Emilia, hadn’t gotten into Tsinghua!

The so-called Professor Derliand, whom she had just been touting, was speaking to Nathalie with reverent politeness, and the two people accompanying Nathalie, one appeared to be the president of Tsinghua University, while the other’s identity wasn’t apparent to them, however, given the circumstances, it was clear that his status was far from low.

Not to ntion, Ghania scored 589 points and they made a huge deal with a school-acceptance celebration, while Nathalie remained silent and turned out to be the top scorer of the joint entrance exam!

The exact score was unknown.

If Nathalie’s score surpassed Ghania’s by twenty or thirty points, the Quinlan family branch would be utterly humiliated this ti.

They had their topic of gossip for the next while.

How could Ghania not sense the differing gazes of her own relatives? Her heart felt ice-cold, pinching the palm of her hand as she stood there, mustering all her strength not to fall apart in public, biting her tender lower lip to the brink of bleeding.

Why didn’t Professor Derliand bring up anything else, why did he have to bring this up unexpectedly?

Why did he insist on comparing her with Nathalie!
