As the two were talking, the door to the hospital room was knocked.
A cool and indifferent girl’s voice ca through, seemingly untad, "Sorry, I’m late."
Several pairs of eyes looked over in unison.
Wallace Radcliff, needless to say, had t Nathalie Quinlan twice. Recognizing that attention-grabbing face at the door, he managed to remain calm and collected.
Brian Bonette and Phoebe Hoffman were seeing Nathalie Quinlan for the first ti.
The girl who ca into view was even younger than they expected!
The black sweater accentuated her slender figure, her legs long and straight, topped with a duckbill cap, revealing an overly exquisite little face.
Her skin was very white, like white porcelain glaze, strikingly so.
Audrick Zachmann’s cousin was a bit too good-looking!
This was Brian Bonette’s first impression, and after being dazzled, all he felt was concern.
He hadn’t expected Nathalie Quinlan to be so attractive, and judging from her appearance and deanor, she certainly didn’t seem to belong to the category of those imrsed in their studies.
Could such a person really possess the ability, as Wallace Radcliff and the others said, to intercept the chip’s attack and even hack the attacker’s computer in return?
He was skeptical.
Ms. Quinlan was unaware of their thoughts, simply noticing that there seed to be three or four more people in soone’s hospital room without any major reaction. Removing her earphones, she walked in with a raised leg.
"Miss Quinlan," Alfred Garland greeted her with due respect as soon as he saw her.
"Hmm," Nathalie Quinlan responded, rubbing her forehead, walked over, and spoke to him with a familiar tone, "There was a traffic jam on the way, held up for half an hour."
Alfred Garland laughed, touching his nose, and replied cheerfully, "I figured it was traffic, otherwise you would have sent a ssage."
Wallace Radcliff also chid in to greet the girl, "Miss Quinlan, I didn’t expect we’d et again so soon. I said I’d take you out to eat next ti we t, looks like it has to be postponed..."
As a grown man, it was embarrassing that he couldn’t follow through on his word.
It made him so anxious when eting Nathalie Quinlan that he dared not look at her.
For fear she would ask him about that eaten computer incident.
Fortunately, Nathalie Quinlan had never brought it up, allowing him to breathe a sigh of relief.
"Let’s talk about eating out another ti," Nathalie Quinlan said without any nonsense, found a seat to sit down, placed her phone on the table, lifted her head, looked at Alfred Garland, and said succinctly, "You said you needed to check on so coding, hand it over, let have a look."
She sat down decisively, and Phoebe Hoffman finally snapped out of it. With a sneer curling on her lips, she didn’t wait for Alfred Garland to urge her and handed over The Ninth Institute’s laptop, which had been placed aside.
"Here, this is the code. It seems its source code has a flaw, and the program it creates won’t run."
She couldn’t be bothered to say more. She simply did not believe that a high school student could solve a coding problem that The Ninth Institute couldn’t resolve!
Nathalie Quinlan took the laptop from her, without asking what kind of coding it was, her delicate fingers tapping on the keyboard, her eyes focused on the screen.
Wallace Radcliff, on the other hand, was concerned she might struggle with the task, and kindly explained, "This is the code for an autonomous driving system, it’s quite tricky to handle. See what you can do, it’s okay if you can’t get it right..."
After all, Nathalie Quinlan was still only eighteen and had infinite potential ahead of her.
There was no need to shatter the confidence of a genius over a single code.
Nathalie Quinlan’s eyes hid a glint of cold light as she casually grunted an ’alright’ and flexed her fingers, warming them up before becoming thoroughly absorbed in the intricate programming.
Ten minutes passed.
She hadn’t said a word.
Twenty minutes passed.
The girl typing on the keyboard still wore that mischievously casual expression, remaining silent.
