"Let see." Nathalie Quinlan didn’t notice that much and leaned in closer, her line of sight falling on the laptop screen, her hand on the mouse as she scrolled down.
There were a lot of things on the screen.
All of them were children’s goods.
She usually didn’t pay much attention to this sort of thing, and Amadeus Yancey had asked her to help pick sothing, but she found it quite difficult.
But since it was a gift for Lily, she didn’t brush it off; even though she wasn’t good at it, she still earnestly clicked and reviewed a few items she thought looked good.
The girl’s jet-black eyelashes were demurely lowered over her delicate and pretty porcelain-white face, and her neck was like that of a swan’s, slim and long. The closer she leaned, the more endearing she beca.
So endearing it made his throat tighten a bit.
The man leaned slightly back, squinting, putting so distance between himself and the girl who was earnestly looking at the laptop.
His fingers resting on the table curved slightly, revealing defined knuckles, and then he said in a low voice, "How co you didn’t tell you could play the konghou?"
Nathalie, who was browsing for gifts, paused for a mont, and instinctively turned her head to look at him.
When she crashed into his profound eyes, her heart tightened and that restless feeling rose again. She maintained her composure well, pursing her lips and restraining the wildness in her eyes, casually replying, "It’s not sothing worth ntioning."
Becoming Mr. Norton’s student wasn’t sothing worth ntioning?
Amadeus Yancey didn’t feel there was anything to it. If Nathalie Quinlan didn’t want to tell, then she wouldn’t. He just rembered the ssage Audrick Zachmann had sent him.
His gaze slightly darkened, he continued, "Playing the konghou might not be sothing special to ntion, but what about Lighten Chaser?"
Nathalie Quinlan: ...
"Hmm? Nathalie." His voice mixed with a light laugh, tantalizing beyond asure, "Or should I call you, ’Lighten Chaser the Great’?"
McKinney’s skilled healer Lighten Chaser the Great. She seed to wear more and more layers of disguise—the more one peeled away the layers, the more astonishing she was.
Nathalie Quinlan felt as if her head would split, regaining her senses, she rubbed her temples and asked him, "How did you know?"
Recently, it seed her layers of disguise were being revealed too quickly!
"Audrick Zachmann told ." Amadeus Yancey betrayed the man without hesitation, eyes sparkling with mischief and frivolity, pushing the phone on the table towards her, switched it on, and showed her.
"He just sent a ssage to brag about it."
"..."
Nathalie Quinlan took the phone to look.
Indeed, it was a ssage from Audrick Zachmann.
Audrick Zachmann had ssaged soone in a similar manner to how he bombarded her, sending three or four in a row.
[Audrick Zachmann: Fuck, Amadeus, I’ve got news for you.]
[Audrick Zachmann: You absolutely don’t know.]
[Audrick Zachmann: It’s about Nathalie.]
[Audrick Zachmann: Do you know who she is?]
Below was Amadeus Yancey’s reply, showcasing his gentlemanly but beastly deanor.
[A: Who?]
Then ca an emoji from Audrick Zachmann.
Followed by another ssage.
[Audrick Zachmann: Lighten Chaser!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!]
"..." Damn it!!
Nathalie Quinlan felt all the nerves at the back of her head tighten, her temples throbbing, and she half-squinted her eyes, for the first ti understanding what regret was.
She should have never answered Audrick Zachmann’s question.
Amadeus Yancey’s intense gaze was on her, watching the girl’s poker face changing expressions, and with a snicker, he provocatively said, "Tsk, you only told Audrick Zachmann and not ?"
Nathalie Quinlan looked up and t his eyes, then silently shifted her gaze away, putting her hands in her pockets and said in frustration, "I didn’t intentionally not tell anyone, he asked first, so I told him. You never asked ."
This answer was like a perfect score.
At least Amadeus Yancey was stopped in his tracks, with no imdiate coback.
