"Don’t count on —I need to see the patient first, and it might not work out," Nathalie Quinlan said, one hand tucked casually into her pocket, her deanor unfettered and bold.
Her words were very straightforward.
"Pfft." Brian Bonette chuckled, actually relaxing a bit before he smiled and said, "Master Cadmus is at The Ninth Institute, I’ll take you there first."
As he spoke, sothing seed to occur to him, and he asked, "This is your first ti going to The Ninth Institute, Nathalie?"
"Hm?" Nathalie Quinlan raised an eyebrow, her dark pupils turning toward him.
So did she look like she had been there before?
Had it not been for the need to treat this Master Cadmus they spoke of, she likely wouldn’t have had to co even the first ti.
Brian Bonette, gazing at her captivating eyes that seed to speak, raised his hand to his forehead, and couldn’t help but laugh softly, "I thought Amadeus had brought you here before."
"No," Nathalie denied quickly, her fingers fiddling with her earphones, quite irritated.
"Tsk... I didn’t realize he was quite so innocent."
"..." Nathalie furrowed her brows, unable to grasp what innocence had to do with whether she had been to The Ninth Institute before.
Brian Bonette simply turned back with a smile, and asked the group of people standing around, "Who among you is willing to show Ms. Quinlan around The Ninth Institute these next few days?"

Phoebe Hoffman’s face color looked quite ugly, and she didn’t speak.
Wallace Radcliff was completely engrossed with the USB flash drive Nathalie had given him, flipping it over and over, as if he couldn’t wait to try it on a computer.
The other people hesitated upon seeing Nathalie’s excessively young face.
No one responded.
Brian Bonette called out bluntly, "Jayvis Denio, do you have the ti?"
The man with the beard who was called out pointed to his own face and at first looked disbelieving, "Mr. Bonette, ?"
Seeing Brian Bonette nod his head.
He sneaked a quick glance at the slim girl standing there and, rather reluctantly, lowered his head, mumbling, "I—I probably don’t have the ti, I’m still working on a project with Mr. Radcliff, and my part isn’t finished yet... the project is due next week..."
He really didn’t want to.
Ms. Quinlan looked too young, and his ti was valuable; he didn’t want to waste it escorting soone around.
With that ti, he’d rather spend it learning from the institute’s team leaders, or even exploring on his own, rather than taking care of a delicate girl.
Brian Bonette appeared surprised at the refusal, his smile faltering montarily.
However, Phoebe Hoffman’s complexion had beco much rosier, her lips curling into a mocking curve as she looked at Nathalie.
Nathalie, for her part, was nonchalant, not wanting to make Brian feel awkward, and said in a calm voice, "No need, Alfred Garland is enough. Anyway, I’m just here to treat soone."
She hadn’t planned on touring The Ninth Institute.
Though The Ninth Institute had a resounding reputation in C Country, and many dread of entering, to her, it was just another place.
She had seen places more mysterious and powerful than The Ninth Institute.
"Ms. Quinlan..." Alfred Garland’s face was filled with anger, his fists clenched tight; he could hardly bear it, his heart was sour, and he almost wanted to say, ’Let’s just go back.’
He had never expected the people at The Ninth Institute to behave like this.
If it weren’t for Master Cadmus, he would really feel aggrieved for Nathalie!
Alfred Garland scanned over those who were shrinking their necks, dreading Brian Bonette calling their nas, as if looking at idiots.
On the Black Market, so many people had been scheming to get Nathalie to treat them, and all this ti, she had only treated Mr. Wilmar once.
Adelle Wafford had said Mr. Wilmar needed to undergo craniotomy surgery.
Nathalie didn’t even perform surgery and yet she revived Mr. Wilmar.
If it wasn’t for Amadeus himself intervening, would they really think Nathalie was begging to treat Master Cadmus?!
