Today, Alfred Garland led her around, introducing her to everything along the way.
Nathalie Quinlan had gained a preliminary understanding of The Ninth Institute.
The Ninth Institute of C Country, often referred to simply as The Ninth Institute from outside, is actually a top dostic research institute for cutting-edge technology. Moreover, it handles so intelligence and has access to a segnt of rare materials.
This was also why Amadeus Yancey had in his hands the controlled rare tals she had been wanting to find for Uncle Cagwin.
Because The Ninth Institute held a unique position dostically, Alfred Garland didn’t tell her too much about the internal affairs of The Ninth Institute, just roughly introduced the place to her.
Nathalie Quinlan didn’t have a strong desire to know more about The Ninth Institute herself. After listening briefly, she followed him to find Master Cadmus’s laboratory from the day before.
"Master Cadmus," upon arriving at the laboratory, Alfred Garland dropped the energetic air he had maintained on the way, his brows and eyes softened, and his movents considerably more restrained as he respectfully greeted those inside: "Amadeus, Mr. Bonette."
Nathalie Quinlan glanced up and noticed that besides Amadeus Yancey and Brian Bonette, Mario Cagwin was also present.
Additionally, there were several others wearing the standard white coats of The Ninth Institute next to Master Cadmus, who were generally younger, probably team mbers led by Master Cadmus.
In front of them were a series of experintal apparatuses, including a U-shaped glass container filled with green liquid. Master Cadmus, his hair peppered with white, was pouring a bottle of white liquid into it. As soon as the white liquid entered the conduit, it imdiately flared up into a bright fire, the light so blinding that it hurt the eyes.
She looked away from the burst of flas and studied the experintal table, recognizing at a glance that the reactor must be part of an experint for new weapon research.
Biological engineering sounds like a marginal field studying animals and plants, but in fact, many new weapons are now related to biological engineering.
For example, many new submarines make extensive use of theories from biological engineering.
Soone of Master Cadmus’s rank would not simply be researching trivial matters, but Nathalie Quinlan hadn’t expected The Ninth Institute to be involved in such research.
She glanced subtly at the man with an upright figure standing there, his black pupils slightly narrowing with a roguishly charming squint.
She slipped her hands into her pockets and carelessly pulled up the hoodie of her sweatshirt.
Just as she adjusted it, Master Cadmus noticed her arrival, stopped the experint he was conducting, and waved to greet her: "Girl, you’re here? Co on, co over."
Master Cadmus’s team mbers hadn’t seen Nathalie Quinlan the day before. Today, seeing Alfred Garland bringing a girl to the laboratory, and upon noticing the girl wearing a black hoodie without an outer jacket, they could tell at a glance she wasn’t from The Ninth Institute. Each of them frowned disapprovingly but, out of respect for Master Cadmus’s face, none dared to gossip.
They watched as the girl walked over unhurriedly, making her way to the experintal station, and the expressions of Master Cadmus’s lab mbers grew even more serious.
The reactor experint they were working on was very important.
It wasn’t sothing an ordinary person would be allowed to see.
Yet, as they saw the girl approach and her overly young face, they thought they might be overthinking it. Perhaps even if they let her look, she wouldn’t understand what the reactor experint was for.
Master Cadmus seed utterly unconcerned, highly unpredictable in his actions. Seeing Nathalie Quinlan approach, his lean face broke into a smile as he said gently, "Girl, after you gave acupuncture yesterday, I felt much better all over and finally had a good night’s sleep. Your dical skills are impressive; who did you learn them from?"
"I figured it out on my own from reading books," Nathalie Quinlan replied, her brows and eyes appearing calm, as though she wasn’t lying.
But it gave off an aura of unbelievable arrogance.
Very eye-catching.
