Nathalie Quinlan stopped in her tracks, hands dug into her pockets, squinting her eyes.

"Excuse , are you Ms. Nathalie Quinlan?"

The butler, probably in his sixties, had his white hair combed back, wore a well-tailored suit, and stood ramrod straight with a polite expression on his face; he didn’t seem like soone there to start trouble.

Nathalie’s gaze carried a nonchalance: "Yes, that’s ."

"It’s good that you’re Ms. Quinlan; I was worried I had the wrong person." The butler smiled amiably and pulled out an invitation, passing it to her.

Nathalie took it indifferently, furrowing her brows: "What’s this?"

The butler smiled softly: "Ms. Quinlan, it’s like this, our family’s matriarch is about to celebrate her seventieth birthday, and she will be holding a birthday banquet in McKinney. She sincerely invites Ms. Quinlan to attend. The invitation has the ti and location of the birthday banquet. If you are available, please do make ti to attend."

Nathalie opened the invitation and saw two flamboyantly written characters on it, Adelia Tucker.

The Tuckers?

She thought for a mont and finally rembered where she had heard the na. On her first day leaving the Quinlan Family, at Waterfront Pavilion for dinner, she stumbled upon Jeff Quinlan, Ghania Quinlan, and two won dressed in modified Tang costus, also dining there; one of them seed to know her biological grandfather, and they had a good relationship, even speaking to each other.

She rembered Adelia Tucker seed to be Ghania’s teacher?

The Tucker Family had deep roots in McKinney; Mrs. Tucker’s birthday party would only be well-attended. Nathalie didn’t like crowded gatherings.

Lacking interest, Nathalie nonetheless accepted the invitation to save face, lifting her gaze with a rogueish flick of her eyes: "We’ll see when the ti cos."

The butler wasn’t discouraged, smiled faintly, and bowed towards her: "Looking forward to Ms. Quinlan’s presence."

His errand here was done.

"Well then... Ms. Quinlan, I shall take my leave," he said without delaying further.

No sooner had the black Bentley left than the familiar Phaeton stopped right in front of her.

The car window rolled down, and little Lily, with her adorably cute face, popped out from the window, her eyes sparkling as she yelled, "Sister!"

Nathalie looked and saw that besides Lily, there was soone else in the car.

The man had chiseled features, his lashes lightly furled, the smooth lines of his wrist adorned with Buddhist beads, exuding a silent ferocity lined with a touch of asceticism. Apart from Amadeus Yancey, who else could mix such contradictory auras into one person?

Nathalie’s gaze paused briefly.

Yesterday’s princess carry ca back to her mind.

It made her feel restless.

"Sister, get in," Edric called from the car again.

Nathalie didn’t hesitate any longer and opened the car door to get in.

"Waterfront Pavilion."

"Yes, Amadeus," the driver in front wasn’t Alfred Garland, it was a stranger.

After Amadeus gave the destination, he turned to her and explained: "Edric insisted on treating you to a al, and since Uncle Cagwin is still unconscious, it’s fine to go to the hospital after lunch."

"Hmm," Nathalie had no objections; it was alti and she was hungry too.

Edric rubbed his little hands nervously, his small face tense as he asked, "Sister, do you like the food at Waterfront Pavilion? My uncle and Alfred said the food here is delicious. I didn’t know what you liked, so I suggested going there, but if there’s sothing you’d rather eat, we can go there instead."

Amadeus suddenly recalled the last ti he invited her for food and she chose a street vendor, afraid she might suggest a similar place.

The little guy had been frail since childhood, with a delicate stomach, prone to an upset tummy easily.

Unexpectedly, Nathalie didn’t make any strange requests, her voice actually sounded quite gentle: "Waterfront Pavilion? I quite like it."

Edric’s eyes suddenly glittered brightly, he was so happy he was beside himself.

Heehee, sister said she likes it.
