The wind grew still.

Even Aira—the colossal Kunpeng whose wings could stir storms—hovered motionless in the air, its vast feathers trembling as if hesitant to go any closer.

Everyone stood in silence upon its back, gazing ahead into a wall of nothingness.

At first glance, there was only the forest—an endless sea of erald crowns swaying under sunlight. But the longer they stared, the more they realized sothing was wrong. The air itself shimred strangely, light bending and rippling as if a veil covered the entire land.

An invisible wall—so subtle it seed part of the sky—spread endlessly across the horizon.

The faint hum that ca from it wasn’t sound, but vibration, like mana itself was being compressed to the limit.

Then a calm voice broke the silence.

"Let handle it."

Luca turned, recognizing the tone instantly.

Senior Elowen stepped forward, the erald gleam of her hair flowing softly in the wind. Her expression was serene, her golden eyes reflecting the light of the unseen barrier ahead.

As she floated off Kunpeng’s back, the wind seed to bow around her presence. The air shimred faintly where she walked, each step leaving behind tiny motes of green light that rippled like waves across still water.

She stopped midair—just before the barrier—and extended one slender hand toward it.

The world responded.

A faint pulse ran through the clouds, followed by a low, resonant hum that spread outward like the echo of a heartbeat. The shimr in front of them flared to life—no longer invisible.

Everyone’s breath caught as the barrier revealed itself.

It was vast.

Layers upon layers of translucent light blood in the air—like the petals of a celestial flower. Threads of mana interwove in geotric patterns, spiraling with sacred symtry. The barrier pulsed between colors—gold, azure, erald—each hue resonating with a deep, ancient rhythm.

Runes appeared faintly along the light, thousands of them, flowing and rearranging like living script.

Then—Elowen whispered a single word in the ancient tongue of the elves.

"Unveil."

The runes blazed to life.

Light cascaded outward in a breathtaking wave. For a heartbeat, it was as though dawn itself had descended—every particle of mana shimring, swirling, and folding away like mist before sunlight.

The barrier, once opaque and eternal, began to part.

The sound was soft, almost divine—the sigh of creation itself. The air rippled, light refracting into countless colors, and a path appeared through the veil.

Beyond it, the true heart of the Elven Forest was revealed—an endless expanse of luminous trees and drifting mana streams glowing with ethereal radiance.

Everyone stood frozen.

Aurelia’s eyes widened in awe. Kyle muttered a low curse under his breath, unable to form proper words. Even Selena, usually composed, pressed a hand against her chest, her expression almost reverent.

"...Beautiful," Lilliane whispered, her voice trembling.

Elowen lowered her hand, her face serene once more. "This barrier," she said softly, turning toward the group, "is the Aegis of Aeloria. It was crafted by the First Ancestors, woven from the combined mana of the World Tree and the Spirits themselves. Not even the heroes of legend could break it."

She looked out toward the now-open path, her tone carrying faint reverence. "If one were to force entry... even the strongest Saints and legendary mages of the past would have to unite. And even then—" she paused, her golden eyes narrowing slightly, "—it would not be certain."

Luca stood silent, his gaze fixed on the faint traces of light still lingering in the air.

An enchantnt this strong... he thought, awe mixing with disbelief. In the ga, the Elven Forest was always in ruins. The quests were all set after the barrier had already fallen.

He clenched his fists slowly. But if sothing this powerful existed... then how was it ever destroyed?

For a fleeting mont, the beauty before him felt almost foreboding.

The light that shimred through the trees no longer seed peaceful—it carried the quiet sorrow of sothing sacred on the edge of tragedy.

As the wind stirred again and Elowen began to lead the group forward through the opening, Luca glanced one last ti at the fading edges of the barrier—its runes flickering softly like dying stars.

Sothing must have shattered even this... he thought, unease stirring beneath his awe.

And whatever it was... it’s far beyond anything I’ve seen so far.

The Kunpeng let out a low, resonant cry and followed Elowen through the veil.

The light swallowed them whole.

And the journey into the true heart of the Elven Forest—finally began.

As the radiant veil closed quietly behind them, the world beyond it opened like a dream made real.

The mont they crossed the threshold, the atmosphere shifted—so rich with mana that each breath felt alive, almost intoxicating. The forest floor beneath their feet was carpeted in soft moss that glowed faintly under the dappled sunlight streaming through the towering canopies.

Colossal trees reached into the heavens, their trunks wide enough to house entire villages, their leaves shimring in hues of gold, jade, and faint silver. Mana streams drifted through the air like ribbons of light, weaving between branches, humming with a lody that felt both ancient and sacred.

Tiny spirit lights fluttered past, so taking the shape of glowing butterflies, others dancing like wisps of fireflies. The distant sound of a waterfall echoed softly, blending with birdsong so harmonious it felt almost unreal.

Elowen turned back to the group, her voice gentle yet commanding.

"We’ll go on foot from here," she said. "The heart of the forest doesn’t welco flight. Even the air here carries the will of the World Tree."

Luca nodded. "Got it."

He turned toward Aira, who hovered in the air, its vast wings stirring faint waves of light across the canopy.

"Thanks for the ride," he said sincerely, placing a hand over his chest. "Rest for now."

The Kunpeng’s eyes glead in acknowledgnt. With a single, majestic cry, it folded its wings and dissolved into particles of silvery light, vanishing into the beast space.

The group began walking behind Elowen, their footsteps soft against the luminous moss.

Aurelia’s crimson hair glimred faintly under the filtered sunlight as she looked around in awe. "This... is the Elven Forest? It’s even more breathtaking than I imagined."

Kyle grinned, brushing past a vine that glittered faintly like glass. "Feels like walking through a dream. Everything here looks alive."

Selena’s eyes darted from tree to tree, her analytical gaze unable to hide its wonder. "The natural mana concentration here is imnse. Even standing still, I can feel my core resonating."

Lilliane reached out to touch a glowing petal that drifted past her hand. "It’s so... peaceful," she whispered softly.

Luca smiled faintly, watching their reactions. For all their strength, for all they had seen, monts like these reminded him how small even powerful people could feel in front of nature’s magic.

The deeper they walked, the more the air seed to shimr. Faint trails of mana ford paths through the forest as if guiding them toward sothing—or soone.

After what felt like hours of walking through the ethereal silence, the trees began to part.

Ahead, a vast clearing opened—bathed in pure golden light.

There, standing in neat formation, was a group of elves.

They were tall and graceful, their features elegant and tiless. Their hair glimred in shades of green, gold, and silver, and their clothes flowed with mana-infused fabric that shimred faintly under the light. At the forefront stood several elders, their eyes wise and calm, and between them—

—a woman stepped forward.

Her beauty struck the group into silence. Her long erald hair cascaded like sunlight down her back, her eyes a deep erald that seed to hold centuries of grace and sorrow. She wore a gown of soft white and gold, the embroidery glowing faintly with mana. Every step she took exuded both serenity and power.

When she stopped before them, she lowered her head slightly, her tone clear and lodic.

"Welco," she said, her gaze falling gently on one person in particular.

"Welco, Mr. Luca."

The group froze.

Even Aurelia blinked in confusion. Kyle’s mouth opened slightly, words failing him for once. Selena’s brows furrowed in disbelief, and Lilliane turned sharply toward Luca, eyes wide.

Luca himself was stunned.

He stared at the woman for a heartbeat too long before his lips parted in disbelief.

"E–Elf Queen!?"

The reaction was imdiate.

Everyone looked at him, shock flickering across their faces as they processed his words.

Even the normally composed Selena’s eyes widened slightly. Aurelia blinked twice, her expression sowhere between awe and disbelief.

Only Elowen remained calm, her expression unreadable—though there was the faintest curve of understanding on her lips.

Luca swallowed, trying to steady his breath.

Why... why is the Elven Queen welcoming herself?

His thoughts raced, unease flickering in his chest. This doesn’t make sense. Although she invited herself last ti, but this is–

He stopped that thought halfway, glancing at the woman’s serene yet unreadable smile.

What do they want to do...?

The forest was silent once more—except for the faint, rhythmic pulse of mana in the air.

And as the golden leaves fell softly around them, the weight of the

mont pressed down on Luca like the first note of a symphony about to begin.
