The atmosphere inside the collapsing sanctuary had crossed beyond chaos and entered sothing far more terrifying.

Ancient stone continued falling endlessly into the abyss below while corrupted mana flooded every corner of the ruins like a black ocean swallowing the remnants of a forgotten age. Dust and debris drifted through the air, illuminated intermittently by flashes of lightning, gravity mana, and the crimson glow radiating from the enormous eye hidden beneath the darkness.

Yet despite the destruction surrounding them—

Nobody moved.

Nobody spoke.

Because the words that had echoed monts earlier still lingered within their minds.

"Found you."

The voice had not sounded human.

Nor had it sounded like any living creature.

It had felt closer to a law.

An ancient certainty.

A declaration made by sothing that had finally discovered what it had been searching for.

Luca slowly raised a hand toward his forehead as a dull ache throbbed behind his eyes. The fragnts of images he had seen lingered faintly at the edge of his consciousness, refusing to disappear completely.

A shattered sky.

Countless stars falling into darkness.

A battlefield stretching endlessly toward the horizon.

And those crimson eyes.

Always those crimson eyes.

"What... was that?" Eric asked quietly.

For perhaps the first ti since Luca had known him, there was no humor in his voice.

Only fear.

No one answered.

Because nobody had an answer.

Not even Adrian.

The fourth-year senior remained standing before the group with gravity mana swirling heavily around his body, his golden eyes fixed firmly on the silver-haired figure who had erged from the tear in reality.

The mysterious existence stood perfectly still.

Ancient robes moved gently despite the chaos surrounding them while silver-white hair flowed softly around their shoulders.

Yet sothing had changed.

Their calm expression from monts earlier was gone.

The faint shock that had appeared when looking at Luca remained present even now.

And that frightened Luca more than he cared to admit.

Because whatever this being was—

It clearly knew sothing.

Sothing about him.

Sothing he himself did not understand.

The chained figure noticed it as well.

A low laugh escaped its lips.

The sound echoed strangely through the ruins.

Amused.

Knowing.

As though it were watching a long-awaited reunion unfold.

"How fascinating..." it murmured softly.

The silver-haired figure’s gaze shifted imdiately toward it.

For the first ti—

The temperature throughout the sanctuary seed to drop.

Not because of mana.

Because of intent.

The silver-haired figure had still not attacked.

Had still not displayed hostility.

Yet the mont their eyes t the chained being’s—

The entire sanctuary trembled.

The abyss below churned violently.

Even the gigantic eye beneath the darkness narrowed slightly.

The pressure radiating from both sides intensified rapidly.

And Luca realized sothing terrifying.

Neither of these existences had been fighting seriously.

Not yet.

Everything that had happened until now—

The corrupted remnant.

The collapsing sanctuary.

The overwhelming pressure.

Compared to whatever stood before them now—

Had rely been the beginning.

Then suddenly—

The silver-haired figure spoke.

"Leave."

The single word echoed throughout the chamber.

Simple.

Calm.

Absolute.

The command was directed toward the students.

Toward Adrian.

Toward everyone except the chained being.

For a brief mont, nobody reacted.

Then Adrian stepped forward imdiately.

"Everyone withdraw."

This ti there was no hesitation in his voice.

No discussion.

No debate.

Only urgency.

Because even he had realized it.

Whatever happened next—

They did not belong here.

The Hero Research Club mbers imdiately began helping the injured while Adrian’s gravity mana lifted sections of debris from their path. John supported one unconscious senior while Eric helped another over his shoulder.

Lilliane moved beside Sylthara imdiately.

The dark elf remained standing, but the corruption still lingering within her body had clearly weakened her considerably.

"You okay?" Lilliane asked softly.

Sylthara nodded.

Though the answer wasn’t entirely convincing.

Throughout all of this—

Luca remained where he was.

Unable to move.

Not physically.

ntally.

His eyes remained fixed on the silver-haired figure.

Because even now—

That figure was looking back at him.

Not at the others.

Only him.

Questions swirled endlessly through Luca’s mind.

Who are you?

What do you know?

Why did you react that way?

What did the chained creature an?

What is happening?

Yet before he could say a single word—

The gigantic eye beneath the abyss suddenly widened.

Completely.

The darkness below exploded.

And from sowhere far beyond the sanctuary—

Far beyond the mountains—

A second presence answered.

The mont it did—

Both the chained figure and the silver-haired figure turned their heads simultaneously toward the distant horizon.

And for the first ti—

The smile vanished from the chained being’s face.

Sothing was coming.

Sothing even it had not expected.

And judging by the sudden change in expression on both ancient existences—

Whatever had just awakened...

Was important enough to make even them take notice.

The atmosphere inside the collapsing sanctuary changed once again.

Until now, the battlefield had felt dominated by corruption.

Dominated by the chained being.

Dominated by the abyss lurking beneath the ruins and the gigantic crimson eye staring upward from the darkness below.

Yet all of that seed to pause the mont the second presence made itself known.

The distant pressure sweeping across the world felt entirely different.

It was not corrupted.

It was not ancient.

And yet sohow—

That made it even more terrifying.

The force rolled across the horizon like an invisible tide, crossing mountains, forests, and valleys before crashing into the sanctuary itself. The air trembled beneath its arrival while the corrupted mana flooding the ruins recoiled instinctively, as though encountering a natural enemy.

Luca felt it imdiately as his eyes widened.

Because he recognized this mana.

Not the exact signature.

But the feeling.

The purity.

The overwhelming density.

It felt familiar.

The chained figure’s expression had finally lost its amusent completely.

For the first ti since erging from the abyss, it looked genuinely displeased.

"How troubleso..." it murmured softly.

The gigantic eye beneath the sanctuary narrowed.

The abyss churned violently.

anwhile, the silver-haired figure standing before the fractured tear remained silent, their gaze fixed toward the distant horizon as though confirming sothing.

Then—

A faint smile appeared on their face.

Not relief.

Not happiness.

But recognition.

As though a long-awaited ally had finally arrived.

Adrian noticed it too.

His expression tightened imdiately.

"Everyone move."

The command carried far more urgency than before.

"We will have to leave now."

This ti nobody hesitated.

The injured were gathered together imdiately while the remaining mbers of the Hero Research Club began retreating toward the upper sections of the collapsing sanctuary. Gravity mana surged around Adrian continuously as he stabilized pathways through the destruction, preventing falling debris from crushing the students while simultaneously helping them move faster.

John, despite his pale face, had regained enough composure to assist.

Eric supported two injured seniors.

Lilliane remained beside Sylthara.

And throughout all of it—

Luca kept glancing back.

Because neither the chained being nor the silver-haired figure had moved.

They simply stood there.

Watching and waiting.

As though sothing far more important than them was about to arrive.

Then—

The sky shattered.

Not literally.

But it felt that way.

An overwhelming pulse of mana exploded sowhere above the mountains beyond the sanctuary, causing the clouds themselves to split apart. The pressure descending from the heavens was so imnse that every single person present instinctively looked upward.

Even the chained figure.

Even the silver-haired figure.

For a brief mont, the entire world seed illuminated.

Then a streak of light appeared.

A single beam crossing the horizon.

Fast.

So fast that it seed to tear through the sky itself.

Luca’s breath caught.

Because he knew that speed.

He had seen it before.

Many tis.

Not personally.

But enough.

A familiar figure flashed through his mind.

Long blue hair.

Cold eyes.

As water and wind mana swirled around her...

An academy professor who could reduce mountains to rubble when truly serious.

The realization struck him instantly.

Professor Seraphina.

The beam of light crossed the horizon in seconds.

The pressure surrounding the sanctuary intensified rapidly.

And for the first ti—

The chained figure looked annoyed.

"Already?" it muttered.

The silver-haired figure chuckled softly.

"A little too slow, if you ask ."

The chained being ignored the remark entirely.

Its crimson eyes shifted toward Luca once more.

And sohow—

That gaze felt even more dangerous now.

As though ti was running out.

As though whatever it wanted to accomplish had to happen before the incoming presence arrived.

The abyss below erupted again.

Corrupted mana surged violently.

The gigantic crimson eye widened.

And before anyone could react—

The chained figure moved.

Not toward the silver-haired existence.

Not toward Adrian.

Not toward the retreating students.

It moved directly toward Luca.

The world blurred.

The sanctuary shook.

Space itself scread.

And Luca’s eyes widened as the creature appeared directly before him, reaching out with one blackened hand while countless crimson eyes opened throughout the surrounding darkness.

Then—

A blue spear of light descended from the heavens.
