Madam Guan fixed Guan Shuyan’s makeup, found it odd no matter how she looked at it, and finally felt satisfied after removing a hairpin from her own hair and placing it on Shuyan’s bun.
Guan Shuyan was speechless.

Guan Shuyan was shocked, stomping her feet, "Mother, you’re belittling , how could you be like this."
"Alright, I’m just joking with you." Madam Guan said, "You and your childish nature, you’re already at an age for matchmaking."
Guan Shuyan blushed in response, softly humming with a hint of unease.
"Madam, Young Master Song has co to pay his respects to Madam." The senior maid Qing’er reported with a smile.
Madam Guan quickly said, "Please, let him in." She gave her daughter another glance.
Guan Shuyan suddenly felt a bit nervous, looked around the room, and noticed there was no screen prepared. She asked, "Mother, where’s the screen?"
Just as Madam Guan was about to speak, Song Lingsu had already entered through the door as the maid lifted the curtain.
Trying to hide was futile, there was no place to hide.
Guan Shuyan bit her teeth and decided not to hide anymore. After all, she’d seen him before, and stood confidently beside Madam Guan.
Song Lingsu entered and imdiately noticed Guan Shuyan standing there. There was no avoiding it, with her light pink robe, she stood out too much.
He quickly lowered his gaze and respectfully bowed to Madam Guan: "This young man, Song Lingsu, pays his respects to Madam, wishing you good health and may your wishes co true."
Madam Guan smiled graciously and raised her hand: "Rise, no need for such formalities, it’s not our first eting. Qing’er, prepare a seat and tea for the young master."
The maid guided him to a seat with a smile, while another maid served the tea.
Song Lingsu felt a bit awkward, just as he sat down, Madam Guan asked Guan Shuyan to return the courtesy, and he imdiately stood up again.
The last ti Guan Shuyan saw him was in August during the Mid-Autumn Festival, after several months, she realized he had grown taller. She had to look up to see him clearly, which made her inexplicably annoyed.

Song Lingsu’s gaze landed on her radiant face, t her eyes, and responded with a smile and a bow: "Guan Fellow Sister."
Their acknowledgnt indicated familiarity rather than formal distance.
As their eyes t, perhaps they both understood what this eting represented, there was so awkwardness and unease, so they looked away.
Madam Guan watched from the side, noticing the young ones’ ears gradually turning red, smiling widely. One in royal blue, one in light pink, truly a perfect match.
She imagined the scene of the two kneeling and serving her tea, which delighted her so much that she laughed aloud.
The laughter brought the young couple back to reality, Guan Shuyan used the excuse of changing tea to slip away to the side room, her face flushed with embarrassnt.
Though Song Lingsu’s direct gaze didn’t follow her, his peripheral vision couldn’t help but linger, his heart pounded like a fawn’s leaps.
So odd, it wasn’t their first eting, yet the feeling this ti was different, mixed with anticipation despite the unease.
Madam Guan observed all this, her smile widened as she inquired about Song Ci’s health.
