The Gu Family’s third-day celebration was bustling with excitent. At the Song Mansion, Madam Song was also glowing with joy, having eaten two bowls of bird’s nest porridge. She was being supported by two sturdy maidservants as she strolled in the courtyard.

Madam Song sighed, placing her hand back on the maidservant’s hand, "Help to pay respects to the Old Master. Mama Liang, take a plaque and go to the Gu Family to fetch the Madam back to the mansion."
She glanced at Mama Liang, her eyes speaking volus, and the latter understood, curtsied, and went off.

Shui Lianlian felt particularly uneasy and troubled, glancing at the unaffected Aunt Pan nearby, timidly asking, "Sister i, with the Old Master behaving like this, won’t the Madam hold us accountable and sell us off?"
