"Switch with ."

"What?"

"I’ll deal with him."

"No, this isn’t a big deal, sis. You don’t have to."

Because of their similar looks, they sotis switched places for fun.

Eula stepped closer to Rinna.

"Don’t waste your precious ti on so fool. You need rest. I’ll handle it."

"But—"

"No buts," she said, grabbing Rinna by the waist and pulling her inside one of the empty cabinets with her.

"Wha— Hey, sis!"

Click!

She locked the door.

— — —

The garden was quiet. Almost all the guests were enjoying the evening inside the grand hall.

Leon stood near a marble bench, gazing at the sky.

’I hope she cos. Otherwise, this plan of mine will flop.’

Before he could think further, the soft clicking of heels approaching made him turn his head.

It was Princess Rinna who stood under the moonlight.

Her long hair shone perfectly under the moon, as if it existed solely for its light.

"Before you say anything," she said, her voice firm, "I just want to make it clear. I have no interest in you."

’Straight to the point, I see...’

Leon raised a brow.

"Is it because I’m not Awakened?"

Rinna crossed her arms.

"Precisely. Do you think you stand a chance proposing to royalty when your entire dukedom exists because of Madam Veronica?"

"I guess," Leon said. "But why do you think I don’t stand a chance?"

She faltered.

"Heh. Isn’t it obvious?" she said, crossing her arms. "Everyone knows what kind of person you are."

"But that’s what they think. I wanted to know..." Leon turned around, fully facing her. "What do you think?"

"I think... nothing of you."

"I wasn’t talking about ."

Rinna paused. She didn’t understand whom he was referring to.

"Then what?"

Leon turned his head slightly, his gaze drifting to the ballroom just a short distance behind them.

"What do you think of them?" he asked quietly.

Rinna tilted her head.

"Them?"

Leon’s eyes darkened.

"All those nobles... all those smiles... all that wealth..."

She stayed quiet.

’What’s he on about?’

"Don’t you ever feel pity?" he asked. "This world... it’s filled with rotten n. Don’t you ever think that so people just don’t deserve the position they’re in?"

Rinna said nothing.

Leon stepped forward. "Don’t you want to clean it, Princess..."

He looked her straight in the eyes.

"...Eula."

"?!"

She couldn’t believe what she just heard.

’How did he—?!’

Her fingers subtly moved toward the lace on her thigh, but Leon’s gaze dropped for a split second, tracking her motion.

Before she could protest or draw the knife hidden under her lace, Leon spoke.

"Woah there, Princess," he said calmly. "Why jump to violence?"

Her hand paused.

"I’m not here to fight you. I’m here to offer you sothing."

A faint smile tugged at his lips.

Her expression shifted, and the cold air around her grew heavier.

"...What offer?"

"An answer. Or rather... intel."

Eula’s heart skipped.

Her mind raced.

’No one should know that...’

She narrowed her eyes.

"What intel?"

Leon leaned in slightly and spoke, his voice soft and steady, like a puppeteer whispering to his creation.

"Lucian Thorne."

"...."

"A Primordial-ranked demon. Right now, he’s inside your castle," Leon said, never once averting his golden gaze from hers.

"...."

"Dancing, smiling, sipping wine... and surrounded by the people you love."

"How did you—"

Interrupting her, he said one quiet sentence that made her blood run cold.

"You’ve been watching the wrong guy."

He knows...

This young boy in front of her knows everything Eula was doing at the banquet.

And with that, Leon left the garden, leaving behind the second princess, the leader of the greatest secret organization the world has ever known, in a dilemma.

"How...?" she whispered to herself.

She was still in awe, how a re boy, whom everyone thought to be worthless, knew everything about her.

"He played ."

It was her first.

Leon knew she was watching over her sister the whole ti.

He knew she would surely swap places with her.

He knew every move Eula was making.

From the mont he walked up to Rinna in the banquet, and from the mont he handed her sister that blue pendant... his main objective was not to et with the younger sister, but her.

She had been played by his hand.

It was frustrating.

She wanted to ask him exactly how he knew about her secret identity, but now... she was scared.

It would be foolish to torture a guy who had outdone her in a matter of minutes.

"Commander."

A voice ca from behind her.

She turned, adjusting her facade.

A black-masked man stood there in a suit.

"Your order?" he requested.

Eula, without a thought, glanced at the banquet hall.

"Lucian Thorne."

Her voice dropped to a re whisper, but her words still reached the masked man.

"Inform Yoru to keep an eye on him."

"By your will."

The man bowed before vanishing into the shadows.

Eula stood there. Right now, she was thinking about one person.

’He surely knows about and the Twilight Order. But then...’

How did Leon even find out?

She had no way of knowing.

Every ti, Eula had made sure her identity remained hidden. Not even her closest allies knew about her.

If that boy was able to find her... then he must have a solid intel network.

’He’s dangerous.’

She thought, before finally leaving the garden.

— — —

On his way back to the banquet, Leon didn’t look back. He just kept walking.

’She won’t do sothing foolish like keeping an eye on ... right?’

Eula had a keen sense of danger. She knew when to strike and who to strike.

And Leon had made sure to leave several mysteries about himself for Eula to figure out—before she made her move on him.

Suddenly, the sa blue window appeared in front of his vision.
