"’What should I do then? No, that’s not right...’"
Renee Jennings’s eyes darted as a plan ford in her mind.

Naomi Kenway arrived on set for filming as usual when a giant mascot bear suddenly blocked her path. It held out its paw, seemingly offering a friendly greeting.
Naomi paused, montarily puzzled as to why a mascot bear would be at the film studio. But the bear in front of her was utterly adorable—charmingly clumsy, with a red bow on its head and blush on its cheeks.
It reminded Naomi of the teddy bear on Ian’s bed, which was just as cute.
"Excuse , please move aside. We have things to do," her assistant said, trying to get the mascot bear to leave.
"It’s fine," Naomi stopped her, a slight smile on her face. She shook the mascot bear’s paw. "Hello there."
The mascot bear instantly stomped its feet in excitent, covering its face with its paws as if bashful.
Naomi couldn’t help but smile.
The mascot bear handed her an exquisitely wrapped box of handmade chocolates. Inside, however, the chocolates themselves were "ugly," a stark contrast to the packaging.
The assistant whispered in Naomi’s ear, "Nina, it’s probably a fan."
Naomi nodded and accepted it with a smile. "Is this a gift for ? It looks like you made it yourself. Thank you."
The mascot bear covered its face bashfully again, then fumbled around behind its back and produced a box of elegant-looking pastries.
Naomi suspected the mascot bear must have a magic pocket hidden sowhere to be able to carry so many gifts.
"Thank you, my beautiful Ms. Burnes."
After accepting them, Naomi noticed the pastries were from a very famous, ti-honored shop in Veridia that only accepted a limited number of pre-orders and was notoriously difficult to buy from.
Hearing Naomi’s complint, "Ms. Burnes" seed to freeze in place.
Naomi expressed her thanks once more, then said, "I’m a bit short on ti, but I look forward to seeing you again, Ms. Burnes."
She smiled, pressing her lips together. Her stunning features were like a vibrant, richly colored oil painting, every line and curve a stroke of breathtaking beauty.
"Ms. Burnes" was stunned once more.
Naomi had only taken a few steps with her assistant when a voice called out from behind her. "Wait, there’s one last thing!"
Naomi turned around. The voice was sowhat familiar.
A bouquet of vibrant, dewy roses appeared before her. "Ms. Burnes" took off the mascot head, revealing a pair of large, bright, expressive eyes.
"I’m sorry! Please forgive !"
Clentine Coleman’s voice was quite loud, and many people nearby turned to look in their direction.
"Clentine, it’s you? What are you doing?"
Naomi chuckled, a little puzzled. "Why are you giving roses?"
"Because you like roses! I found out that your favorite flower is the rose, and you have The Rose Garden at ho that you tend to yourself."
"I like living roses, not dead ones."
Clentine froze, then frantically explained, "I didn’t kill them!" Her hands trembled, and she almost dropped the roses.
"Easy there." Naomi reached out to help her steady the bouquet.
"So, tell . Why are you apologizing?"
"Do you... do you rember..." Clentine began cautiously. "Do you rember Jenna Shaw’s engagent party? I was there."
Naomi thought for a mont, her expression unchanging. "I rember."
Clentine let out a sigh of relief, but her expression turned even more distressed the next second. "I was tricked! My mom told he was getting remarried. I didn’t know he wasn’t divorced, or that he had anything to do with you..."
Her lower lip quivered, and it looked like she was about to burst into tears.
"So you ca to apologize for that?"
Clentine nodded earnestly. "Partly for that, and partly for misunderstanding you before. It’s all my fault. I was blind and couldn’t tell the good guys from the bad. Can... can you forgive ?"
She blinked, her face full of sincerity.
Naomi said, "I forgive you."
"That quickly?" Clentine was both surprised and found it a little hard to believe.
"You just explained yourself, didn’t you? Besides, from what I know of you, you don’t seem like the kind of person who would do sothing like that."
Naomi’s trust left Clentine both stunned and overjoyed. She had half a mind to rush over and pull her into a giant bear hug.
"So, uh, what about these roses?"
"Are you sure you want to give them to ?" Naomi teased. "Paparazzi lurk around here sotis. What if soone snaps a photo and starts a scandal about the two of us?"
"Huh?"
’There’s a wonderful perk like that?’
Clentine’s eyes curved into crescents. She flexed an arm as if showing off her muscles. "An upright person doesn’t fear a crooked shadow! Besides, it would be my honor to be in a scandal with a beautiful woman like you!"
Naomi laughed at her comical gesture. "In that case, I’ll accept them. Thank you for the gifts."
Held before the stunning woman, the vibrant roses seed to beco invisible. Clentine’s eyes could only see that exquisite, beautiful face, and nothing else mattered.

When Renee Jennings ca to visit the set recently, she couldn’t find a trace of Clentine Coleman. Only after asking Clentine’s assistant did she learn that Clentine had turned into Naomi Kenway’s number one fangirl, following her around all day like a little shadow.
Displeased, she decided to wait for Clentine to return to her trailer.
Half an hour later, the sound of cheerful footsteps approached.
They were bouncing and skipping, like those of a little kid. Renee Jennings imdiately knew it was Clentine.
Clentine paused when she saw Renee Jennings. "Rachel, what are you doing here?"
"Clentine, we agreed a while ago to go to the Warren Family’s banquet together. The weather tomorrow should be nice. How about we go shopping for so clothes and jewelry?"
Clentine scratched her head apologetically. "Ah, I’m a bit busy these days. I’ll have to break our promise this ti. I’ll treat you to dinner another day to make it up to you. As for the banquet, Rachel, you should just go on your own."
Renee Jennings’s expression stiffened, but she kept her voice gentle. "Why? Didn’t we already agree? I’ll be really lonely without you."
Clentine felt extrely guilty, but she still explained, "I’m so sorry, Rachel. It’s just that the gorgeous Nia has been teaching how to act lately, so I’m really, really busy."
Renee Jennings lowered her gaze, hiding the coldness in her eyes. When she looked up again, her usual smile had returned. "Well, for an actor, filming is what’s most important. It’s okay, Clentine. I understand."
Then she sighed. "It’s a real sha, though. I was planning on having you co ho with after the banquet so I could give you that signed photo of WK. But I guess not. We can talk about it after you’re not so busy. It’s just, I’m going to be pretty busy myself in a couple of days, probably buried in that variety show... Oh well. Your work is what’s most important..."
As she spoke, Renee Jennings stood up, giving Clentine a small smile as she prepared to leave.
"Wait, wait, wait!"
Clentine scrambled after her out of the trailer. "Wait a second, Rachel!" she called, grabbing Renee Jennings’s arm.
"You already got the signed photo for ? How were you so fast?!"
"Are you saying you don’t trust ?"
