The mont she finished speaking, the shopping cart link went live in Naomi Kenway’s livestream.

One second, two seconds, five seconds... and a thousand orders were sold out.

Naomi Kenway was a little surprised. This was her first ti selling products live, so she was naturally shocked by how quickly everything sold out.

"They’re gone that quickly? Alright, let’s add another ten thousand orders as a bonus for everyone."

*

anwhile, Renee Jennings was rattling off her sales pitch without pause, holding a slice of waterlon and hyping it up as if it were a gift from the heavens.

[She’s a pro at this live-selling thing, huh? As expected from a forr strear. She’s got experience. But isn’t she exaggerating a bit? Waterlons are delicious, for sure, but claiming they can strengthen your body and make you more beautiful is just a lie! Isn’t that false advertising?]

[For real? Are the waterlons from Province X that magical? You’re telling eating them can extend your life?]

[Just ordered. Hope it doesn’t disappoint.]

[She’s a celebrity, for goodness’ sake, but lies just pour out of her mouth. What kind of magical waterlon is this? Do you even hear how ridiculous you sound? The way you describe it, it’s like this waterlon is so priceless panacea!]

...

As Renee Jennings continued her pitch, her eyes remained fixed on the screen. She coughed lightly, calmly picked up another phone, and started tapping away. She was going to kick all of these hecklers out.

"It really does have these effects. It’s not just about cooling off from the sumr heat," Renee Jennings repeated. "The growing conditions where these are from are excellent, so eating them is guaranteed to improve your complexion. To all the trolls making cynical remarks, please leave my livestream. I’m doing this to help the farrs, not to get cursed out by you!"

She looked at the number of orders on the backend display, feeling increasingly satisfied. ’Even with a few trolls, plenty of people are still buying them to give it a try.’

"Okay, we’ve hit thirty thousand orders! Ti to follow the rules." She turned to Nathan Lynch and instructed, "Co on, Nathan, recite a poem for all the uncles, aunties, brothers, and sisters watching the stream."

Nathan Lynch looked completely reluctant. "I already recited two poems. I’m tired, and I don’t want to do another."

Renee Jennings was completely humiliated. She leaned in and whispered a few threats, but Nathan Lynch wasn’t falling for that trick anymore. He raised his arm, looking like he was about to wipe away tears.

[Is Nathan about to cry? Renee Jennings, why do you always force him to do things he doesn’t want to do?]

[On the other stream, so haters were trashing Ian, and Naomi Kenway kicked them out imdiately. Over here, you’re the one bullying your own kid.]

[I think Nathan’s crying. Hurry up and comfort him.]

[What a smart boy! Quick, recite another one!]

Renee Jennings’s heart clenched. She had no choice but to face the cara and say, "I’m so sorry, everyone... Nathan’s been a bit emotionally unstable. It looks like our ’one poem per ten thousand orders’ plan won’t be possible. So..." An idea struck her. "How about I sing a song for you all instead!"

Renee Jennings threw herself into performing, singing and dancing with all her might. The livestream’s popularity climbed steadily.

The director sat at the very back of the production tent, his eyes glued to the backend data. ’Renee Jennings is in first place, and by such a huge margin...’ he muttered. Then, a thought struck him, and he turned to the assistant beside him. "Did you relay the ssage? Renee Jennings’s sales pitch is way too over-the-top. The repurchase rate and reviews are bound to be low, which is bad for long-term growth."

The assistant replied, "I did, but Ms. Jennings said..."

The director frowned. "What did she say?"

"Ms. Jennings said she’s only responsible for selling the goods and completing the task. She only cares about the numbers, nothing else. She also said it’s a new marketing strategy, that a lot of major influencers sell things this way, and that our show’s way of thinking is too behind the tis."

The director let out a laugh of pure exasperation and suddenly felt a headache coming on.

He glanced at the monitor. Renee Jennings was still spewing flowery lies, and her sales numbers were miles ahead of the competition.

’Am I really going to have to award the prize banner to soone so insincere?’

Naomi Kenway, on the other hand, was starting to get a headache. Despite her own eloquent pitch, her sales weren’t exactly skyrocketing. Nearly thirty thousand people were in her stream, and she’d sold twenty thousand orders. It sounded like a lot, but when she thought about the total stock the production team had provided, selling it all seed like a distant dream.

Just as her head was starting to ache over it, the number of viewers in her livestream suddenly began to skyrocket.

A notification popped up:

[Luke Lowell is requesting to co-stream with you]

[Accept or Decline]

Naomi Kenway paused, then imdiately realized where the sudden flood of new viewers was coming from.

Luke Lowell was, without a doubt, a top-tier celebrity, followed by tens of millions of adoring fans. A single casual post on his social dia could easily rack up over a million likes and shares.

This was a windfall of viewership falling right into her lap. Naomi Kenway had no reason to refuse. If she could leverage Luke Lowell’s massive following to sell more waterlons, nothing could be better.

Without a mont’s hesitation, she selected "Accept."

The next second, Luke Lowell’s handso face appeared on screen. He was dressed in casual clothes, holding a can of coke, and judging by the background, he seed to be at ho.

Naomi Kenway glanced at his viewer count: 100,000 . ’Excellent. I can definitely ride this wave,’ she thought.

"Hey there! Cou—cou—you look so surprised! Are you that excited to see ?" Luke Lowell almost let his slip of the tongue get the better of him, but luckily, his quick wit saved him.

"I am a little excited," Naomi Kenway said, holding Ian in her arms, unable to stop smiling.

Luke Lowell looked at Ian in Naomi’s arms, raised his can of coke with a smile, and said, "Ian, want so coke? I’ve got so right here. All you have to do is call Uncle Luke."

Ian shot him a glance and said flatly, "I don’t like it."

Luke Lowell roared with laughter. "You little brat, as aloof as ever. Just you wait..." He raised an eyebrow and chuckled. "One of these days when your parents aren’t around, I’m going to kidnap you and make you my son. Then my mom will finally stop pestering about getting married!"

Ian Shaw completely ignored him.

Being given the cold shoulder didn’t faze Luke Lowell in the slightest; he just kept grinning broadly. Then a thought occurred to him, and he pointed a finger at the screen in warning. "I adore this kid, so don’t any of you dare talk trash about him! I’ll co after anyone who does!"

[Feels like Luke Lowell and Ian are really familiar with each other. They know each other, right? And I get the feeling Nina and Luke Lowell know each other too.]

[My two favorite celebrities are streaming together! I’m so excited!]

[Ian is so delightfully cold, hahaha. He’s the perfect cure for Luke Lowell’s motormouth!]

...

Naomi Kenway asked curiously, "What made you decide to connect with my stream?"

"My fans were telling to link up with soone, but I didn’t know who. Then I happened to see you on my feed. I thought it was just a rebroadcast, but I was surprised to see it was really you. I heard from my cou— ahem, aren’t you filming a variety show? How are you live-streaming?"

Naomi Kenway said, "This *is* filming the variety show. Just look at the na of my livestream account."

Luke Lowell mumbled the na aloud, "My Supermom, Naomi Kenway..." He burst out laughing, the stud in his earlobe glinting as he tilted his head. "So it is... wait a second..." he exclaid in mock anger, "Naomi Kenway, are you trying to take advantage of ?!"

Naomi Kenway looked perfectly innocent. "I only told you to look at it, not read it out loud." She then casually held up a slice of waterlon.

"I’m selling waterlons. Want a slice?

"How am I supposed to eat it? Climb through the internet to get to you?"

Naomi Kenway wagged a finger. "It’s okay that you can’t eat it. I’ll just describe the taste for you."

She launched into her sales pitch again. Thinking about the over one hundred thousand fans watching on the other end, Naomi Kenway spoke with even more vigor.

Luke Lowell murmured, "Wow, I gotta say... this is the first ti I’ve realized you’re such a good talker."
