Jeanette Kensington scrolled through the ssages on her phone, her brow slowly furrowing. The hands at her sides suddenly clenched into tight fists.

’Anson Colt is filming a new drama? Why didn’t I hear anything about it? And why is the female lead Naomi Kenway? How could it be Naomi Kenway?!’

"Don’t start." Caleb Bishop looked at her, his patience wearing thin. "I just got off work. I’m tired and I don’t want to fight with you. There are drinks in the fridge. If you want to stay, stay for a bit. I’m going upstairs to rest."

Jeanette Kensington watched his retreating back, then looked down as her eyes quietly filled with tears.

Her phone rang. It was Paul Grant.

"The initial press announcents are done. We’re scheduled to start filming on the eighteenth of this month. Make sure you’re ready."

Jeanette Kensington replied, "Okay, Grant."

Paul Grant grunted in acknowledgnt. "I’m a little busy here, so I’ve got to go."

Jeanette Kensington was about to say sothing else but was t with the dial tone.

Paul Grant’s attitude toward her was cold, nothing like the warmth he’d shown before. She had expected this. She knew this would be the eventual result of blackmailing him over a past debt of gratitude.

A smile spread across Victoria Vance’s face.

The doorbell rang. Nathan Lynch scampered over to open it. "It must be Uncle Dawson!"

"Slow down," Victoria Vance said, watching his scurrying form with a doting smile.

The door opened, and Nathan Lynch looked up. "Uncle Dawson."

"Hey there, Little Mike!" Aidan Dawson scooped Nathan Lynch up with one arm and spun him around. "Did you miss ?"

"I’m not little anymore! Don’t call Little Mike!" Nathan Lynch said, feigning anger.

Aidan Dawson laughed and agreed. He carried Nathan Lynch over, his expression growing a little tense when he saw Victoria Vance. He placed a plastic bag on the table.

"It’s nothing fancy. My mom made so dumplings, so I brought them over."
