The Villain Mom Awakens — Going Viral by Parenting on a Reality Show Chapter 60: Parent-Child Activity: Identify Your Masked Chil
"Ma’am, are you Annie’s mom? You’re so pretty. Can you play a ga with ?"
Ian Shaw rembered how the other kids at kindergarten had tried to steal his mom last ti. He gripped Naomi Kenway’s hand tightly and said fiercely, "This is my mom!"
The little girl, rejected again, huffed, "Hmph, Annie is the stingiest!"
She stomped her foot in anger.
A young, well-matched couple walked over. The woman stepped forward and pulled the little girl into her arms. "I’m so sorry, she can be a little naughty. I hope she didn’t bother you."
"Not at all. She’s very cute. What’s her na?"
"Pretty lady, my na is Connie! The ’Con’ is for ’completely brilliant’!"
"More like ’Connie’ the ’Onion,’ HAHA!" a little boy ran over and added in a taunting tone. The next second, he was being "hunted down" by Connie. Despite wearing a princess dress, she hitched up her skirt and ran surprisingly fast. It wasn’t long before she’d made the boy apologize.
Connie’s mom watched her daughter with a smile, then turned back. "You must be Annie’s mother, right? You two look so much alike. Annie is adorable."
No one dislikes hearing their child praised. Naomi Kenway smiled and said, "Thank you. Connie is very cute, too. A daughter is a parent’s greatest comfort."
"Oh, she’s a handful every single day, a complete little rascal..." Although she said this, her eyes were filled with adoration.
Hearing Naomi Kenway say that daughters were nice, Ian Shaw stared at her with his big eyes, as if seeking so kind of confirmation.
Naomi Kenway let out a laugh. "Annie is Mommy’s little treasure too. A priceless treasure I wouldn’t trade for the world!"
Ian Shaw hugged Naomi Kenway’s arm, his smile revealing two sweet dimples.
Connie’s mom asked, "That’s odd. Where’s Annie’s dad? Did he not co?"
The smile on Naomi Kenway’s face faded slightly. "He’s a bit busy with work."
Connie’s mom nodded in understanding.
The Sunshine Kindergarten Ian Shaw attended was a famous elite kindergarten in Veridia. The entire venue was ticulously decorated. Nearby, there was not only a garden but also a dedicated exhibit hall full of adorable toys that children loved.
Naomi Kenway took Ian Shaw for a look around. Before long, they heard Teacher Hilton’s call. The activities were starting.
Most of the other children were getting piggyback rides from their fathers. Naomi Kenway lifted her son onto her own back as well, chatting with him about topics he was interested in.
Ian Shaw was smiling happily, but he was still a little disappointed that his dad hadn’t co.
’No, I can’t be too greedy,’ he thought. ’I’m already so happy that Mom is here with .’
Jessica Hilton stood in the center, holding a microphone and expertly livening up the atmosphere. "Welco, children of Class Five and our dear parents! I’m your teacher, Jessica Hilton..."
Suddenly, a stir went through the crowd. A tall figure was seen running over anxiously. He was slightly out of breath, and his gaze quickly locked onto Naomi Kenway and Annie.
Ethan Shaw was exceptionally handso, with a gentle yet noble air. He looked almost too young, like an elegant and poised young nobleman. The mont he appeared, he captured the attention of everyone present.
"Dad! Mom, look, it’s Dad!"
"Ethan..." Naomi Kenway was also stunned. She never expected Ethan Shaw to show up. She had already given up hope.
Ethan Shaw hadn’t even had ti to change out of his suit. Dressed in formal wear, he looked sowhat out of place.
"Sothing ca up on the way."
"I’m just glad you could make it." Having cursed Ethan Shaw countless tis in her mind already, Naomi Kenway found herself at a loss for words now that he was actually standing in front of her.
Ethan Shaw noticed the sweat on Naomi Kenway’s forehead and took Ian Shaw from her arms. "Let hold him."
Ian Shaw hugged Ethan Shaw’s neck tightly. "Dad, why are you so late? Mom and I waited for a long ti!"
"I’m sorry, Annie. It’s my fault for being late. Can you forgive ?"
Ian Shaw shook his head. "Annie isn’t mad. You should apologize to Mom. She had the hardest ti!"
Ethan Shaw turned to look at Naomi Kenway, his gaze resting on her. "I’m sorry. I’m late."
"Don’t let it happen again."
Seeing how happy her son was in Ethan Shaw’s arms, Naomi Kenway couldn’t help but smile too.
Naomi Kenway was bright and beautiful, and her smile was like a blooming rose. Ethan Shaw found himself montarily captivated.
Jessica Hilton’s voice ca through the microphone: "Next, we’re going to start our first ga. Little ones, please follow the teachers over here to get ready. Parents, you can wait here for now."
Ian Shaw went with the other children to prepare backstage with the teachers.
Naomi Kenway glanced several tis in her son’s direction.
Thinking about the parent-child event, Naomi Kenway pulled out her phone again to look up the information she had searched countless tis: "What to expect at your first kindergarten parent-child activity?"
Ethan Shaw sat next to Naomi Kenway. He hadn’t slept well the previous night and was leaning forward slightly, his arms resting on his knees.
"It’s ti to test the bond between parents and children! The little ones are all ready. Co on, parents, follow for our first activity—Find the Masked Kid!"
Naomi Kenway stood up, exchanged a glance with Ethan Shaw, and then followed the crowd and the teacher forward.
They ended up in an indoor area. Before Naomi Kenway even stepped inside, she heard a father ahead of her exclaim, "Whoa, how are we supposed to tell them apart!"
He suddenly took a step back, and Naomi Kenway had to quickly dodge out of the way.
A strong arm wrapped around her. Naomi Kenway looked up to see Ethan Shaw’s handso, chiseled face. His expression, usually gentle, was now tinged with coldness. "Excuse , please be careful. You almost stepped on my... wife’s foot."
Naomi Kenway’s heart skipped a beat.
Though his words were polite, the powerful aura he exuded—that of a man in charge—was almost suffocating. The man in front of them quickly apologized, "Oh, sorry about that! I just got a little excited."
Naomi Kenway cleared her throat softly and continued walking inside. When she saw what was there, she was dumbfounded.
The room was filled with twenty-odd children, all completely covered up. They were draped in blue bedsheets and wore Pigsy masks, with only their eyes visible.
Teacher Hilton’s smiling voice drifted over: "Parents, you’ll have to identify your own darlings first to continue with the activities. It might get tricky if you can’t!"
Naomi Kenway glanced over at Ethan Shaw and saw that he looked just as bewildered.
One parent bent down and tentatively asked a child in front of him, "Leo? Are you my son, Leo?"
The child nodded.
The parent excitedly took off the mask, then yelped, "Ah! You’re not my son Leo! You’re Kevin, right?"
The scene was already descending into chaos. Afraid soone else might walk off with her son, Naomi Kenway hastily joined the fray.
Naomi Kenway moved along the first row, her gaze carefully scanning each child’s eyes.
Suddenly, her steps halted in front of a child in the second row, on the left.
