I regretted asking her about that, just seeing her lose all confidence and get sad all of a sudden really brought down my spirits as well.

But of course, nothing ever goes my way. Alice appeared, bringing along two trays full of food. One overflowing with it. She had been listening to the conversation, although not intentionally.

But regardless, her interest had been piqued enough to ask that question.

Sabrina took the trays and handed mine. She grumbled.

"Well... Because he doesn’t cast magic at all."

My brows furrowed as I heard her. I wondered what made her think that?

’I don’t cast magic at all?’

That was incredulous, to say the least. I spamd magic, almost to the point where it was ridiculous whenever it was possible. I was probably the only one in the group who casted that much magic. But nonetheless, Sabrina was the one saying such a thing, so it had to have so rit at the very least.

I was still baffled, though.

"Yes, you don’t cast magic."

She noticed the look on my face fairly quickly, and answered in a frustrated tone.

"You don’t cast magic at all! Modern magic, well I don’t know how modern it is since it was that old dragon that taught ... But is of three types, regardless of the type of sorcery. It’s Simple, Optimal, Advanced.

Simple, the circuits, circles, runes or whatever sorcery is being used to cast it must be kept to a minimum without reducing the effect. Simply put, short but fast.

Optimal, you must keep the consumption of Mana to a minimum. And advanced is a balanced mix of both... But you?

Al, you don’t even cast magic at all. You manifest it. All mages try to follow the above three to so extent, even if they are unaware of them... But you don’t. You just manifest the magic regardless of how much mana you have to use. You just do it. It’s why it’s so infuriating.

Your spells are fast too, and because of how unorganized and ssy they are because of your insane mana pool, it gives a headache whenever I look at them."

She sighed. I didn’t know if I should feel happy or sad about to that. On one hand, she just called my thod of casting stupid and inefficient. On the other, I was immune to this so called neutralization.

"I could probably stop your [Supre teor] if your mana pool wasn’t so big. It takes a while to cast which gives enough ti and patience to deconstruct it.

But the difference in our mana pools is simply too absurd. Analyze would work only if I use more mana than you do in the spell you cast... But every damn spell you cast has more mana than my entire body."

Sohow, listening to that reduced my joy. I felt pride in the fact no one could neutralize my spells because of how stupidly I cast them...

As idiotic and self-depreciating that was...

Whatever, being a dragon had it’s benefits! I probably would have been smarter with my spells if I had a limited mana pool.

Necessity is the mother of invention after all. And I had no need to optimize my spells with fancy sorcery or anything like that.

However, a question surged in my mind. One that made crease my brows.

"How are you going to neutralize Kizmal’s spells if mana is an issue."

Her entire body shook as I ntioned Kizmal. I was taken aback for a mont.

Was just hearing his na sothing that scary? When, considering what they had gone through maybe it was normal. Maybe I was the abnormal one.

I most definitely was, but anyways.

While I’m certain his mana doesn’t compare to mine or Kazikato’s, it definitely trumps the mana reserves of everybody else in the group combined.

If the difference in mana is sothing that makes Analyze useless... Why is she even doing all this?

Kizmal’s reserves of mana are no joke, after all.

I knew the answer to it, well one way at the very least but I didn’t want her face to get farther from . I was worried that if I stayed silent, she would focus on the magic circle once more.

I didn’t want that, I wanted her to focus on instead.
