It was like a miracle, the mont Alan and everybody had heard that Kizmal had a weakness, they had recovered.
One would never believe it if they didn't see it for themselves. The mont they had heard of the weakness, the strength in their bodies magically returned. The dark circles under their eyes we're still there. But their eyes we're no longer tired.
They were, instead filled with purpose. Their tired bodies were now suddenly filled with vitality. A shocking amount of it.
Alice was stunned.
"Alright, but no body has an affinity to fire here. How would we even beat it with fire."
Alexander questioned, as he swung his dual blades as if practicing.
"We do, Edward and Emma both have affinities to fire, while they use Aura instead, we can figure sothing out."
Sabrina took a deep breath as she summoned her staff, and continued.
"And we don't really need soone with an affinity to fire, as long as we have Alan. It's not like he's unable to cast fire spells.
He just won't be able to strengthen them, but that hardly matters when he will be pouring mountains of Mana into the spell. I can cast them too.
And besides, he has the bloodline of the Phoenix. Isn't it a fire bird? Sothing will work out."
Her voice was excited, and she turned to Alan, who simply nodded.
She was right, even though Alan didn't have an affinity to fire, didn't an he couldn't cast spells of it.
He could do it, the only downsides would be that it would be extrely uncomfortable and consu much more Mana. But he was willing to deal with sothing like that. He was very willing.
A little heat wouldn't kill him, but if it killed that damn giant? He would use as much fire as needed.
The original goal was still go destroy as many hearts as they could to kill the fragnt, the only addition was to use fire as much as possible.
Alan stretched his body, along with everyone else and silently marched towards the trial. Alice couldn't believe it was happening so quickly.
"Don't be surprised, we spent way too much ti here in the first place. And if you were awake to see them... You'd understand."
Maxwell's voice could be heard from the side, and Alice sighed.
She prayed that they would do well, at least this ti, their backs were much straighter. They dissappearwd from view soon enough, and she was left alone, with the company of Maxwell.
Who usually minded his own business and worked on God knows whatever here. The man was a workaholic to the bone.
She sighed, she had her own problems to deal with as well. She silently reviewed the quest she had received from Kizmal.
They were still in the dark about the conversation she had with Kizmal. It wasn't like she was hiding it from then, but more like she couldn't tell them.
Her mouth would stop moving if she tried. She could tell them about the mories just fine, but that conversation and the details of the quest? Not a single word would leave her body.
[Legacy of Lightning. ]
[You have the legacy of lightning(temporary, give it to Lucas Hiddlestone.]
There was no description of this Legacy of Lightning at all, just that she possessed it and had to give it. There was nothing she could gleam about it from the system.
It was just there, and it frustrated her that she knew nothing about it. What if it was a trap? What if it was sothing that made Kizmal reincarnate in Lucas's body? Or dominate his mind?
While she had a feeling that the supre wasn't like that, she couldn't be sure.
She simply sighed, she could do nothing but hope that it wasn't as malicious as she thought it was.
The item, or whatever the Legacy of Lightning was, was a mystery she had no hope of unraveling.
*****
The giant that had haunted their minds rose once again, from the shallow water underneath their feet. Blankets of water fell from his imnse body, yet the realm was unaffected.
The water beneath them did not increase or decrease when the giant rose and even among their calamitous battles... It did not even ripple. It was still, just like their progress in defeating this giant.
But all of it was going to change now, not that they knew there was a weakness. Now that they knew this cursed thing had a weakness, an unknown vigour had ignited in their bodies and it burned brightly.
There was a sort of fire in their eyes, born from the helplessness and rage they felt at this cursed giant of lightning.
The fragnt of Kizmal let out a roar as the drums on its back lit up, but before an eviscerating beam could be unleashed... The light vanished.
After several tries, Sabrina had finally managed to analyze the spell before it could be fired. She had less than a second to do it, but after so many tries and her exceptional mory, she managed to do it.
Kizmal's fastest and one of his most devastating attacks were nullified. Of course, she couldn't do this everyti. She only focused on the opening salvo. She didn't have the ti or the luxury to give the drums any attention when surrounded by lifhtning.
She would have to do her best and analyze as many as she could to avoid a grueso fate.
Alexander was the first to move, followed by Kazikato who carried Emma. She was hidden inside the mass of shadows that made up his body. When they figured out the fragnt actually targeted her at so point. They had spared no effort in securing her safety.
The buffs she could provide were insane, and they needed her to stay sane and strong in the battle.
Everyone took their positions, Edward was trying sothing new as well. Instead of redirecting Kizmal's own lightning at him, he would instead try to use his own fire.
Sabrina ford a whip of darkness and latched onto Kazikato's body, and was flung towards the drums by his tail.
Abalak appeared as well, genuinely surprised at everyone's enthusiasm, and pleased.
"Looks like everyone here has a screw loose! I like it!"
Alan was the last to move, he remained on the ground, looking at the giant roaring in the distance, at the lightning dancing all around it.
He collected his Mana, and this ti, he did not turn into the fearso White dragon. Instead, it was sothing else.
Sothing he had to focus on, because it had been so long since he had done it. And it was different this ti as well.
Just like everyone else, he was trying sothing new this ti as well.
A blue fla erupted from his chest, and covered his entire body. Slowly, his physical body disappeared into jets of blue fla, astral fire.
While he still struggled to uncover the truth and potential of his bloodline, still struggled to develop the Eternal Fire, or whatever it was within him. He had to do sothing.
[Skill: Astral Phoenix Transformation has been used.]
It was better than using his Ice-Pheonix form, that was the furthest from fire he could be. And although Astral fire did not possess any heat, it looked like an actual Phoenix, just blue.
And it had so special properties as well, information flooded his brain about his form, and an excited smile ford on his face.
Ariel's system had so benefits after all! He wouldn't have to read in a chaotic battle.
A Phoenix of blue flas, with a set of golden eyes erged from the waters below and soared into the sky like a lone, blue star. And although it was smaller than the dragon of shadows in the distance, it held presence unlike any other...
Alan could feel it, and he suppressed a maniacal laugh.
'So you finally saw .'
This presence was given to it by sobody, and everyone saw it with their own eyes. As the Phoenix clad in blue fire rose towards the sky filled with lightning, a pair of devilish eyes set upon it, and it only.
Alan couls feel the pressure on him, an invisible force that regarded him and him alone. A force that tried to suppress him out of wariness and fear.
A force that ca from the giant in the distance, which for the the first ti had done sothing unbelievable. Sothing that froze everybody.
They had never seen it do it before, and with all their experience with it... It was sothing they thought it would never do. Sothing that was so far from it they could never have even imagined it.
As the blue Star rose, the giant covered in lightning retreated.
The fragnt of Kizmal, Thunder Bringer, Star Devourer and the Giant of Lightning stepped back in fear, from a bird of fire the size of its eye.
