Now reading: Chapter 752 752: The corpse of something unimaginable from The Villain's Story, a Action novel by Blazuku.

In this large sea of crucified corpses, there was one that stood out among the rest, one that felt so alive even after its death. Alan and Sabrina both could feel the intense energy the corpse still exuded.

The corpse of a man that easily dwarfed even Alan was nailed to a large cross made of a black, bewitching tal. The man had a nail going through all of his joints, and a prominent one going through his throat to his head.

Ears like that of a wolf, an elongated snout and a physique so robust he could snap Alan like a twig, powerful claws at the end of his limbs that could cut steel with ease, fur that the greatest blade could not cut, and a reserve of Aura that surpassed Alan's mana even after death.

"God beast."

The only known equal to the race of dragons, an equal power to the empire of dragons and the masters of aura, an energy unlike mana. Dragons reigned supre over Mana, whilst Godbeasts reigned supre over Aura.

The greatest physical might that nothing could compare with. The might to crush a world with their bare fists, or destroy it until nothing was left.

There was a God Beast on the cross, dead but ever so alive. A strength that death could not consu, a will even the end of its life could not devour. An aura so powerful, Alan would be ripped to shreds if he approached the corpse, unsure whether his bloodline would help him or not.

The torrent of aura would rip him and his heart apart in an instant. For a mont, Alan was srized by the aura around the corpse.

Mana could not do that, he didn't know any spells that could wield such might passively, and he didn't think there were any that could summon such a might so quickly.

Aura was instant, it was mighty, on the other hand, Mana was slow, but incredibly versatile. It took ti to cast a spell, but in aura, you could use all of it in an instant. The source of the physical body, the power of life, was equal to the prodigious might of sorcery and mana.

Sabrina couldn't see the corpse any longer, the storm of life overwheld her senses, but Alan... was glued to it.

Would he have that amount of power when he finally matured as a dragon? An adult dragon, when he beca one... would his mana have the sa effect? Or... what would happen if he cultivated his aura to such a point?

Could he even do it? But then he noticed an even greater change within him. His blood boiled at the sight of the corpse, the storm of aura that remained even after death.

The bloodline of the Phoenix brought forth heat in his cold body, it was furious.

"Alan, blue fire is coming out of your eyes."

Sabrina was obviously the first to notice it. Already familiar with how cold an ice dragon could be, the rising temperature was easy to notice.

"I'm gonna put you down for a mont, I need to get closer."

"Are you crazy?! I don't think your regeneration can withstand that!"

But Alan staggered as he fell to the ground, his temperature rose to a level that a human with a heavy fever would have. This was sothing unheard of in an ice dragon.

He put Sabrina on the ground, as his eyes transford, no longer human but more beastly in nature. Blue, enraged fire danced within the diamonds in his eyes.

"Thing is... I don't think I can stop it..."

He struggled to speak as his feet moved forward, walking towards the storm of aura that would rip him to shreds.

It wasn't him, it was his bloodline. Whatever will there was remaining in the bloodline of the almighty Phoenix was livid. His blood was literally boiling with anger as his body moved forward.

'Huh... didn't know this could happen.'

Sohow, as his body advanced to the raging storm, he was quite nonchalant about it. Most of it was him trusting his bloodline. It was quite literally the thing he relied on the most, and the knowledge, however limited it was, of the Phoenix put him at ease.

He didn't know how Suleras managed to get the bloodline of a Primordial, but there had to be reasons behind it. It was why he was so calm.

'I trust the bird, I guess.'

And it wasn't like he didn't understand its anger, after all, before him lay a fellow kin of the Phoenix, desecrated. If it was a dragon in that situation.

Alan was sure he would be doing the sa. Hell, he would do his best to get revenge. The pri species, both God Beasts and Dragons, cherished each other like no one could. Every mber was precious family, therefore the bond between was incredibly strong since birth.

But then again, advancing towards the relentless storm of aura was putting him on edge. There was nothing he could do about it but advance.

He could resist... but because he understood the pain, he let it go and went along with it. Besides, there was a single thought in his mind, the most prominent.

'What's the worst that could happen?'

His body getting ripped to shreds and his heart cracking into a thousand pieces? The forr was definitely happening, but he was willing to bet that the latter would not happen... probably.

It wasn't that large of an issue, after all, so what if his body got ripped to shreds, torn beyond recognition? He had gotten used to it. All he had to do was handle so ager pain! After all!

'You know...'

If he had a nickel for how many tis his body was torn, disintegrated, squished, crushed, and ripped to shreds beyond recognition.

'I would have quite a few nickels...'

Should he change the currency to feel better about himself for that? It was probably a good idea.
