Now reading: Chapter 887: Death’s Heir from The Villain's Story, a Action novel by Blazuku.

Setting aside the War, there were other more pressing matters to deal with at the mont. Valus also didn’t try to convince Alan to choose otherwise; he didn’t even sigh in defeat.

It was as if he were actually a little proud that Alan didn’t run away, choosing to hide on Lanekia or the other planets, bringing his family with him.

A dragon of Death does not run from conflict.

Valus gazed at Alan, at the astral blue gems in his eyes as he chuckled, before moving on to his relationship with the House of Death and more, his status as a dragon.

"You’re our Heir, whether you like it or not. Mother, Lanesha, and Kulak have all agreed to it, even if I were to disagree, the majority clearly isn’t with . Regardless, it was bound to happen this way due to the Serpent, so I can only accept it.

’Revelations’ have been made that we have an heir. Although only to the upper echelons of the house of Death and the species under it. My sister, or should I say, your ’mother’ was very quick in doing that..."

The Supre let out a defeated sigh, as Alan began to ponder if he would be receiving another beating or not. Was this why Jas had designed him to be as durable as possible? Making sure he would get the sturdy body of a God Beast, the Bloodline of the Phoenix, and the Legacy of Death?

Was it all so that he could withstand a beating from a Supre being? He hoped not.

"But honestly, as soon as you undergo the Baptism, Lanesha will spread the news to every planet under our jurisdiction, and then to the entire universe. There will probably be a month or two of celebration... It’s going to be such a headache to deal with."

Alan had a weird expression on his face as he heard this, but he didn’t say anything, in fear of having his head stuck in the stone of the Lighthouse once more.

He didn’t even try to think about it too much, afraid that Valus would read his mind again. It was a hard thing to do. Consciously keeping himself from thinking that people celebrating him would be a headache to deal with. He found it... insulting.

"As Death’s heir, there isn’t much you need to do, honestly, you can live your life on Earth, Dragons don’t hold any formal events usually, and you can deny eting any other important guy that isn’t a dragon easily."

"Won’t that cause problems? Like rumors to spread?"

Valus didn’t answer; he rely looked at Alan for a few seconds, and Alan realized.

’Right, nobody ’important’ is dumb enough to do sothing like that. And they would be smart enough to stop the spread of rumors as well...’

Who would piss off a House of Dragons? Especially one that was just done with a major war and achieved a great victory in it? Even the Supres are afraid of Ariel... lest the ones below. Any blow to the reputation of the House of Death would be dealt with imdiately; the poor soul wouldn’t even rest in peace.

Valus sighed and inford.

"However, you are not just the heir of Death."

Alan raised his brows; his interest was piqued until he finally recalled.

"Chaos..."

He mumbled, as an affinity he never used, and even dreaded at tis, began to swirl in his body. Alan quickly quelled it.

"Lanesha was Ja’s Guardian Dragon; she could be convinced, but how do you think he managed to convince Suleras and the Phoenix? Suleras was the Guardian Dragon of Aranus, so to a certain degree, it is understandable for him to help Jas, but there is another reason why.

At the sa ti, why would the Phoenix, a being that is the complete opposite of Jas, and one that has no relation to Jas?"

Alan recalled the Phoenix, engraved in the blood that flowed through his veins, the fire of a being as old as Ariel. An Undying Fire wandered through the dark void, searching for answers to stop the bloodshed. An Undying Fire wept, and as it wept, a being answered its call.

The Serpent approached the Undying Fire and offered it a deal. As to what that Deal was, Alan was unsure; he was still far from completing the Phoenix’s quest. However, now that he knew of his constitution, he did have so idea.

The Bloodshed most likely ant the war between the God beasts and the Dragons, the slaughter of the VoidSpawn, and the curse that started it all. Was he supposed to put an end to it, considering he was each of the three?

Alan considered it, but he had no idea how he would do it; furthermore, he wasn’t inclined to it. He wasn’t necessarily motivated to do so, to pursue such a grand objective.

Could he be blad? No, he had no hand in this deal; furthermore, the circumstances of his birth made it understandable for him to hate the beings that had a hand in his creation, to a certain extent.

"Heh, yeah, she wished that you’d have a chance to solve the curse."

Valus put imnse emphasis on the word ’chance’. Alan narrowed his eyes as the Supre continued with hollow laughter.

"A Primordial Being sacrificed her life, everything that is a part of her, on a chance, and worse, the Serpent actually managed to convince her to do it. All on the chance that sohow, whatever Jas would create could do it. She fell for the Serpent’s ploy, perhaps willingly.

Perhaps she knows sothing even I don’t, perhaps she had a divine dream... Nevertheless, the deal was made, and shortly after, Jas handed the bloodline of the Phoenix to Suleras so he could give it to you.

The real reason Suleras helped Jas wasn’t because of Aranus, but sothing entirely different, and the Phoenix is closely tied to it.

Jas offered the Dragon of Chaos the one thing he had been searching for the entire ti."

Valus took a deep breath, and revealed the truth, the reason why the Dragon of Chaos helped the Serpent.

The revival of the Chaos Dragon Race, The revival of house Chatan."
