Sabrina was in a dilemma, these past two months everybody had separated, Alexander had to answer to the Twilight Guild, occupied with odd jobs, Edward and Emma were the sa, and Alice chose to trap herself in her laboratory, doing god knows what. Olivia had went back to Shield, on the order of her Grandfather. Sabrina was technically a mber of Twilight, but she had so sway in certain matters.
Actually, she had a lot of sway, considering the support her family gave to the Guild, regardless, she was still imnsely busy for the last two months.
"My lady, your tea."
Alpha entered the room, carrying a tray full of tea and sweets. She was in a maid outfit, sothing Sabrina had not forced on her. She preferred it this way. Beta was in the corner of the room, reading so books. While Alpha was incredibly useful, Beta was only subpar at best.
Of course, this was because she always compared him to Alan. Beta was a tank, Alan was simply dozens of tis better. The forr was also deathly afraid of the latter due to the beating he had suffered. Alpha set down the tray on the table, and began to massage Sabrina’s shoulders, as she recollected her experience these last two months.
She was not human anymore, having transford into a Vampire, the monster she was the most afraid of since childhood. This fear ca from her Father always spooking her on Halloween, and making her watch all kinds of vampire movies with him... it had stuck in her childish mind.
Regardless, the crux of the matter was that a Vampire, especially a Royal Vampire, belonged to the Demonic Race. Sabrina was a demon, the enemy of humans at this point in ti. Explaining it to her Mother and Grandfather had been a headache.
She wanted to let Alan out of her explanation, but unfortunately, it slipped out of her mouth, and since it was known that she went on the expedition with Alan... her Grandfather had sworn an oath that he would kill Alan for turning his sweet angel into a demon.
She didn’t have the heart to tell him he couldn’t.
These past few months, she had familiarized herself with her newfound powers, as well sharing her knowledge with the family. About runes, and magic, that she had learned from Azmakul. While she only shared a part of it, it was still a massive boon.
Familiarizing herself with her vampiric powers was no easy task, as Sabrina had to fight off both the urge to drink blood and hide from the sun. The latter wasn’t a major issue, a royal vampire was sufficiently resistant against the sun, the mild irritation could be removed by copious amounts of sunscreen. The forr however... proved to be an issue.
Sabrina had first tested with the blood of cattle, that of cows and sheep... the taste was absolutely horrendous, leading her to vomit. Next, it had been human blood, procured from one of the many hospitals her family owned. Human blood was better than that of cattle... but it was still disgusting.
Sabrina gradually found out that awakened blood tasted better, almost satiating her... but the blood of A-rank and above monsters was subli. Alpha had told her it was because a royal vampire deserved only the best of blood, and also because the first ever drop of blood Sabrina had consud belonged to the Supre of Darkness, Valus.
It was still unknown what relation a previous iteration of her had with this Supre being, but Sabrina stuck to the warnings from her domain, to refrain from any sort of contact with a supre, or at the very least, lessen it as much as possible.
She had gotten used to all the powers of a Royal Vampire, except for one. One that Alpha and Beta were anxiously waiting for. They described it as ’turning’. If Sabrina chose to impart her blood to another individual, she was able to turn him into a subordinate vampire.
The success rate depended on the willingness of the individual, but a Royal Vampire was almost always successful. Furthermore, if Sabrina consud blood of a rather high quality before the ritual, the subordinate vampire would bear witness to a sharp increase in power, but a subordinate vampire would always be bonded to the one to turned them into a vampire, their turner.
It was a contract of absolute loyalty. Sabrina had been reluctant to perform this ritual, but eventually... she had to.
The Wellington Family could not hide her identity as a vampire for long, the longer they hid it, the more they risked pure destruction from the Association, and the World Governnt, the other families would also aid in this process. The upper echelons of humanity, the real ones in power wouldn’t hesitate to do so.
Her Grandfather always said that one must never cross Harrison. According to him, the man was understanding, but any attempt to go under his radar, especially on a matter such as this would result in a harsh response. He had advised her to go inform the current leader of humanity of her circumstances, for the betternt of the family.
Sabrina had no choice but to do so, lest the Wellington’s be wiped off the face of the Earth. It was a certainty in these tis. Sabrina sighed, as she finished her cup of tea and a few sweets and opened her communicator.
She inford her Grandfather that she was ready, and stood up, saying.
"Co, Alpha, and Beta, let’s finally do the ’turning’."
The two vampires couldn’t hide the glee on their faces as they earnestly followed their queen out of the room. Sabrina felt her blood ’excite’ as she made that declaration. She couldn’t hide the unease on her face as strode forward.
’What am I becoming?’
She wondered, who was she? The Mysterious Almada, or Sabrina Wellington? She felt she was straying further and further from her humanity as she ascended the levels of power.
For a brief mont, she wondered what her Father, still away on his mission would think of her when he ca. His sweet angel was no longer an angel, rather a demon.
Literally.
