"What do you an, marching-band drumline?!"
For a mont, neither Kayle nor Morgana could understand what Jovian ant. Both imdiately started pulling up every possible entry and explanation they could find on marching-band drumlines, trying to figure out the aning behind his words.
"What are you trying to do?"
Unlike the others, Yan was different. She was a victim of Jovian’s so-called marching-band drumline before, so she knew exactly what kind of thing it was. And because she knew how terrifying that "marching-band drumline" really was, she was utterly stunned that Jovian intended to use it on both Sacred Kayle and Morgana at the sa ti.
If Jovian really pulled it off, then this would no longer be a problem limited to Earth, the solar system, or even a handful of advanced civilizations. If he actually succeeded, it would beco a catastrophe for the whole universe. The invincible Queen of the Gods and the utterly wicked Queen of Demons being used as drums by a native god from so distant backwater planet...
Just imagining it made her scalp tingle.
After this, the universe would probably face only two possible outcos.
The first was total chaos, countless civilizations deciding that Sacred Kayle was not all that, then banding together to challenge angel civilization.
The second was that Morgana and Sacred Kayle would both get beaten into submission, the known universe would unify, and everyone would march together toward the Void.
"What am I trying to do? Just watch."
Jovian patted Yan on the shoulder and gave her a warm smile.
"You don’t need to think about anything else right now. Leave it all to ."
With that, Jovian walked toward Sacred Kayle.
"No. According to Skyblade’s calculations, if everything is left to you, the universe is far more likely to descend into total chaos..."
Yan kept shaking her head. According to Skyblade’s calculations, Jovian was playing with fire.
"Kayle."
Jovian stopped in front of Kayle’s throne and looked down at the regal older beauty seated above him.
"What is it?"
Kayle leaned back slightly. Even while being looked down upon from above, she still maintained her pride, the pride of the Queen of Angels.
"Get up. Ti for the folk-culture experience."
Jovian grabbed Kayle’s hand and moved to yank her out of her seat.
"How dare you!"
The guardian angels in the sky erupted with fury the instant they saw Jovian show such disrespect to their queen, and they all moved to stop him.
"Stand down."
Facing the guardian angels, Jovian’s eyes held nothing but contempt as he issued the command.
"Dark-plane suppression in progress..."
"Analysis beginning..."
"Dark-plane suppression successful!"
In just a few seconds, these top-tier guardian angels, supposedly among the strongest combatants in the known universe, had their dark-plane genetic systems hacked by Jovian and were forcibly locked in place in midair.
"What?!"
The guardian angels had clearly never imagined that anyone in the universe could hack angel systems. Panic spread across those beautiful faces at once. Even the calst among them turned pale from what Jovian had just done.
And without those high-ranking guardian angels in his way, Jovian successfully pulled Kayle right out of her throne.
"This..."
On the ocean below, General Du Couteau stood on the deck of the Juxia and watched the unnatural expressions on the guardian angels in the sky, as well as Sacred Kayle being dragged up from her throne by Jovian. His sharp instincts caught the problem imdiately.
"The angels lost an information war?!"
His eyes widened. Ever since Sacred Kayle had led angel civilization for tens of thousands of years, the strongest civilization in the universe had unquestionably been these beautiful angels with their pure white wings. And the angels also possessed the most complex dark-plane information systems in existence. Not even the old Deno civilization had ever produced anyone capable of directly suppressing these high-ranking guardian angels through the dark plane.
That ant this chief god called Jovian, who had been hiding away on Earth, was more than an entire era ahead of Deno civilization in dark-plane research.
He might even be ahead of angel civilization itself.
That was terrifying.
So terrifying, in fact, that the danger he posed to the universe exceeded even the massive military buildup and war that had once engulfed the Deno star system.
One wrong move and this would not rely beco a war between a few star systems or several advanced civilizations.
One wrong move and the entire known universe would be reshuffled.
"..."
Sweat began pouring down General Du Couteau’s forehead as he thought about the future of the Deno descendants and the civilization of Earth.
"Fa, General Du Couteau, what’s wrong?"
Seeing his panicked expression and the slight trembling in his body, Katarina Du Couteau quickly stepped forward to support him.
"No. I’m fine..."
"It’s just that from this point on, the main players may no longer be Earth, or this country, or even just angel civilization, the Styx civilization, the Solar Dominion, and us. The stage that’s been set is far too big."
General Du Couteau shook his head. He had long since realized his own mistakes. He had seen what the Deno War led to. He had seen what happened when the Solar Dominion clashed with Earth. And so now he was afraid, afraid that the sa kind of disaster he had witnessed so many tis before was about to happen again. If that ca to pass, then his sins would never be washed away.
"..."
"Oh."
Katarina Du Couteau did not understand what he ant. She simply nodded and said nothing more.
"What the hell’s going on?"
"Why do all those arrogant angels look constipated?"
"Did they eat too much rich food and get so decadent they can’t take a dump?"
Down on the ground, Xin Zhao looked at the twisted expressions of the guardian angels whose bodily control permissions had been seized by Jovian, and laughed without a care in the world.
"Oh, cut it out..."
"You think everybody’s as gross as you are?"
Jarvan looked at Xin Zhao, who always seed ready to open his mouth and say sothing filthy, and waved him off.
"No, seriously, look!"
"Just look at their faces. That’s absolutely a constipation face."
"You guys don’t know this, but a few days ago when I was constipated, I looked in the mirror and it was the exact sa expression."
Seeing the disgust on Jarvan’s face, Xin Zhao continued trying to explain himself.
"Can we please talk about sothing less fragrant?"
Jarvan let out a sigh, utterly helpless.
"Sothing else? I could talk about..."
"Hey, look! The shiny golden guy is fighting the brightest female angel on the other side!"
Xin Zhao loved a spectacle more than anything. The mont he saw people throwing hands, he lit right up.
"Damn, Brother Jovian really is fighting that angel woman. He’ll be okay, right?!"
Darius squinted hard and realized that Jovian really had started fighting Kayle.
"You want to use as a drum? Then you’d better have the skill to back it up!"
Kayle knocked Jovian’s hand away. As she spoke, ripples like water spread through the space behind her. One Godslayer-class weapon after another instantly appeared, and in the blink of an eye, thousands upon thousands of Godslayer weapons were aid straight at Jovian.
"My god, are all of those Godslayer-class weapons?"
Aboard the warship, Darius stared into the sky with his eyes wide open. For a split second, the axe in his hand no longer seed impressive at all.
"Holy shit, that old bitch Kayle is actually serious!"
Far away, Morgana froze in place when she saw Kayle summon that endless sea of weapons.
"Your Majesty, according to Demon One’s calculations, if Sacred Kayle wanted to, we would be reduced to particles in 0.3 seconds."
Ato dutifully reported to his queen.
"I already fucking figured that out!"
Morgana glared at him. Did they really need a supercomputer for that? You could see it with your own eyes.
"Should we consider a tactical retreat?"
Ato continued to offer suggestions.
By tactical retreat, he ant the enemy was too strong, they could not win, so maybe they should just run.
"Retreat my ass. Don’t forget our ship is already under the control of that bastard up there facing off against Kayle. Without the ship, even if we can run, how far do you think we’ll get?"
Morgana planted one hand on her sexy waist and scolded Ato.
"But..."
Ato looked at the countless weapons in the sky and hesitated. He was afraid. Not of his own death, but of his queen being turned into particles right in front of him.
"No buts..."
"Besides, why should we run? That native god from Earth is a real monster too, otherwise Kayle wouldn’t be using her royal arsenal. We don’t need to think about anything. We just stay here and watch the tigers fight."
There was a flicker of delight in Morgana’s eyes. In her heart, she was dying for Jovian and Kayle to tear each other apart. Best-case scenario, they would both co out badly wounded and she could sweep in and take advantage.
"As you wish."
Once Ato heard Morgana say that, he had nothing further to add. He simply took his place at her side and stood guard in silence.
anwhile, on the Juxia...
"Those weapons co from Kayle’s royal arsenal."
"They’re usually stored in a separate space, and when she needs them, she can connect the space behind her directly to the arsenal gate and draw them out from millions of light-years away."
"They may look outdated, but every single one of them is more advanced than anything we possess, and each is far more powerful than Darius’s axe."
"Every weapon there is powerful enough to kill the chief gods of advanced god-making civilizations."
"Kayle did not call herself the Queen of the Gods. That title was earned through slaughter."
General Du Couteau explained to everyone aboard the warship what those weapons behind Kayle really were.
"So you’re saying she could turn all of us into particles without even trying?"
Leona looked at General Du Couteau with visible fear. She was only in her early twenties, still far too young.
"That’s right..."
General Du Couteau let out a silent sigh. No matter how badly he wished otherwise, the facts were ironclad.
"Will Brother Jovian be in danger?"
Caitlyn frowned as she watched Jovian facing Kayle in the sky, worry written all over her face.
"What, Caitlyn, don’t tell you’ve fallen for Brother Jovian?"
Darius had not expected the usually quiet Caitlyn to sound so worried about Jovian, so he asked outright.
"Seriously? What’s there to like about that shiny guy?"
Xin Zhao sounded a little jealous. Not because he liked Caitlyn in particular, but because he liked every pretty girl.
"That’s not it..." Caitlyn’s face reddened a little, and she quickly shook her head. Then her expression turned serious as she explained why she was worried. "It’s because back then, on the highway, Brother Jovian saved my life from the Taotie."
"Say no more. I get it."
"Brother Jovian’s a good man. He’d be good enough for Caitlyn."
Darius nodded, fully approving of the match.
"That’s not what I ant. Were you even listening..."
Caitlyn’s face turned even redder after what Darius said, and her expression beca visibly awkward.
"Boom!"
But before Caitlyn could finish, a massive rush of air exploded through the sky, and everyone on deck instantly felt their bodies grow heavy.
In the air, Sacred Kayle crossed her arms in front of her chest and gazed calmly at Jovian. Behind her, Godslayer weapons shot one after another toward him.
That trendous blast of air had been created by those Godslayer weapons cleaving through the atmosphere.
"Going full Gilgash?"
The corner of Jovian’s mouth curled upward as he watched the incoming barrage. He had to admit, it looked cool as hell.
Too bad it would not work on him.
He shifted his body, narrowly avoiding the first Godslayer weapon Sacred Kayle sent at him. Then he grabbed it by the handle at the rear, spun it in his hand, and used the very weapon Kayle had generously donated to knock aside the next several Godslayer weapons in rapid succession. In the sa motion, he closed the distance Kayle had tried to create and slashed downward at her.
"Hmph!"
Kayle let out a cold snort, drew a long sword from behind her, and t Jovian’s weapon head-on.
"BOOM!!!"
The mont the two weapons collided, it was as if thunder rolled across the entire solar system. Every person on Earth clapped their hands over their ears and dropped to their knees.
And the black-armored soldiers nearest to Jovian and Kayle all grabbed their heads and collapsed to the ground.
In their minds, two voices echoed over and over...
"Carry out a judgnt on Sacred Kayle. Sacred Kayle is hereby judged guilty. Seal all weapons, abilities, and information-plane access belonging to Sacred Kayle..."
"Judgnt overruled. Verdict invalid. Judgnt to be passed instead on the one who initiated the ruling, Jovian. Under the laws of justice, Jovian is judged guilty and must be executed imdiately..."
"Imdiate execution overruled. Jovian is innocent. A second judgnt is now being passed on Sacred Kayle. Sacred Kayle is judged guilty and must atone by performing a striptease before the entire universe..."
"Second judgnt overruled..."
...
"So this is what a god really is?"
Garen clutched his head. Only after witnessing Jovian and Kayle’s battle up close did he realize how pathetically weak he was. What he had thought were incredible superpowers, super strength, lightning speed, all that bullshit was nothing.
True gods pursued definitions.
They pursued laws.
They pursued overturning reality itself.
They were cold, rational "monsters" who forced their own principles into the bodies of others and shattered everything their opponents believed.
"Boom!"
Even while Jovian and Kayle were clashing in terms of ideology and higher-order logic, they never stopped fighting physically.
With a wave of her hand, Kayle summoned a gigantic tal angel knight. It swung again and again at Jovian. That mountain-sized tal giant was so outrageously extravagant that even scraps falling off its body were enough to forge Godslayer weapons.
Jovian, anwhile, borrowed the power of the sun to create a colossal fla giant that could never be destroyed, using temperatures in the hundreds of millions to lt that gigantic tal angel apart again and again.
The two of them were deliberately restraining their power, but even so, the gorgeous spectacle left the Super Seminary warriors on deck staring in total disbelief. It was a battle far beyond their level, far beyond their imagination, a fight that existed on an entirely different plane.
Even the guardian angels, Yan included, could only stay far away from the battlefield and watch the clash between the universe’s highest-tier powers.
Scorching the sky.
Boiling the sea.
And yet, for all that this battle was utterly unimaginable to the Super Seminary soldiers and the high-ranking guardian angels, it was little more than child’s play for Jovian and Kayle. Their real fight lay in their clash of concepts and systems. Both wanted to capture the other alive, and there was only one way to do that.
Shut down the other side’s super bio-engine.
"Judgnt successful..."
The battle raged on for a long ti. Roughly an hour later, the clash between Jovian and Kayle finally ca to an end.
And the result was...
"Kayle’s super bio-engine has been successfully shut down. I have completed the takeover of Kayle’s Knowledge Vault and Sacred Arsenal."
Infinity Ultron’s voice echoed inside Jovian’s mind.
"That took long enough. Without the Infinity Stones, your processing power really drops off hard."
Jovian let out a sigh, clearly dissatisfied with Ultron’s speed.
Still, at least Infinity Ultron had helped him take Kayle down. That alone deserved so praise.
Seeing Kayle frozen in midair, unable to move, Jovian walked over to her with an innocent, almost childlike smile on his face.
Smack!
The mont that familiar sound reached the ears of the guardian angels and the Super Seminary warriors, every one of them widened their eyes in utter disbelief at the impossible sight before them.
Kayle, wearing a completely dead expression, had been slung at Jovian’s left side like an ornant.
"From now on, you’re one of my Sacred Left Wings."
Jovian smacked Kayle’s full backside and proudly announced that he had gained yet another Sacred Left Wing.
Yes, another one.
For a seraph like him, having eight or ten wings was hardly excessive, right? tatron had thirty-six, after all.
"Now let’s go take a look at my Sacred Right Wing!"
As he spoke, a portal opened in front of him.
"Oh no. No, no, no!"
"Ato, open a portal right now. Even if only I can get out, do it!"
"I would rather die than get hung off sobody like a goddamn accessory!"
The mont Morgana saw Kayle defeated, she completely lost it. No matter what, she had never imagined that her dear sister, the great Queen of the Gods, Sacred Kayle, could actually lose.
And lose in a way this absurd, this humiliating.
To be hung off soone like that in such a shaful pose, Kayle had beco the biggest joke in the universe.
Of course, that was not even the scariest part.
The scariest part was that, if Morgana had guessed right, the person who had defeated Kayle and turned her into a living accessory was coming for her next.
"Yes, Your Majesty!"
Ato was Morgana’s most loyal subordinate. The mont he received his queen’s command, he opened a portal without a second thought.
"I..."
Morgana did not hesitate for even a second before diving straight in.
But the instant she passed through the portal, she froze.
Her mind contained only three questions.
Where am I?
Who am I?
What am I supposed to do?
"surprise motherfucker~"
Twenty English letters were neatly arranged across the clouds in the sky, welcoming Morgana’s arrival.
And there, seated on a throne opposite her, was a golden, radiant man. Kayle was tucked against his left side, Leng was in his right arm, Yan was held in his lap, and he looked at the lost Queen of Demons with eyes full of open amusent.
Gulp.
Staring at this man, who looked so much like the ultimate supervillain that it was impossible to tell who the real Demon King was anymore, Morgana could not help but swallow.
"What the hell is this? Did Ato betray ?"
Panic flickered across Morgana’s face as her mind raced at full speed, but in a situation like this, even Demon One could not calculate a viable escape route.
"No. Impossible. Ato would never betray ."
"Then what the hell is this? Did Demon One betray ? Or did I sohow betray myself?"
Morgana stood there in the wind, utterly frazzled. She even began to wonder whether soone had secretly tampered with her mind without her noticing. For beings at this level, influencing a god with lower processing power was not difficult at all.
"Morgana, why are you still standing there?"
"Get over here and run into my arms already. Co sit beside ."
The wildly overbearing man seated on the throne with won in both arms looked at the baffled Morgana and curled his lips upward. Then, as if he had just thought of sothing, he arrogantly lifted his chin and looked toward soone far away in the universe who was desperately trying to rge with the Void.
"Ten thousand years, and you still didn’t even dare confess? In the end, you blasted the angel you loved into dust. What a waste. What unbelievable waste."
"Do you have any idea how many freaks and monsters would be lining up to simp for Angel Morgana even without divine power, with a body like that and a face like that? Just look at Ato."
"So let teach you the proper way to handle Angel Morgana~"
That outrageously arrogant man, Jovian, the Angel King in every possible sense of the phrase, revealed a kind, pure smile.
Do not misunderstand.
Jovian was nothing but truth, goodness, and beauty now.
If so people see everything as dirty, it is only because they have been wearing dirty lenses the whole ti.
And if so people think everyone else is making dirty jokes, it is only because they have been speeding down the highway so long they forgot what ordinary roads look like.
