The Walking Dead: A New Beginning From the End of the World Chapter 1 1: The Burden of a Film Critic
"This is the ending we've been waiting for? Six episodes finished, and I still feel like nothing happened that we didn't already expect." Jason rubbed his slightly sore eyes after turning off the living room television.
Jason was a devoted fan of the beloved show The Walking Dead. He had followed the story since its early days and, while waiting for new episodes, had rewatched it countless tis.
But the latest installnt left him disappointed. Although he loved most aspects of the series, as a loyal fan, he knew there were many things that could have been done much better—more intriguing outcos, especially involving an organization like the CRM, which had sparked so much speculation, theories, and detailed analysis from related series.
And was the CRM's conclusion unexpected? No, Jason thought it was a disappointing conclusion to what seed to be the CRM's final arc.
In the end, as just another viewer, Jason could only lant.
Picking up his phone beside him, a faint light illuminated the screen.
"It's three in the morning. Ti to go to bed." Jason sighed, still bitter about the ending of his favorite show, as he walked to his bedroom.
Lying in bed, the endings of the show's protagonists replayed in Jason's mind. He wished, with all his heart, that he could have crafted far better outcos.
"If I were in that world, I'd definitely rewrite all those dreadful storylines the producers thought we'd enjoy. I could lead humanity down the right path—I wouldn't be so damned selfish character."
With this thought, his mind beca filled with all kinds of clever strategies that would have avoided many of the disastrous outcos for characters who t unpleasant ends.
As a viewer who knew all the enemies, he knew how to take them down and the steps he would take to deal with those consud by evil.
He knew the right way to build his own organization, the defensive asures he'd implent to avoid being crushed by the strongest, and what he needed to do to prevent everything he built from self-destructing.
He'd take down the Governor, crush the cannibals, and save a few people—only those who truly deserved it.
"How could you, with the chance to take control of the CRM, lead the most powerful force in the world, choose to destroy the only hope of rebuilding humanity the right way? Didn't you learn that the only way to keep the selfish from seizing power is by having a single chain of command in the world?" Jason couldn't sleep, still angry at the thought of the unclear future left for humanity.
"Damn it, what a sha. Things could've been so much better…"
The way certain characters were written out of the story was sothing he would never forgive anyone involved in making such ridiculous decisions.
Lying in bed, Jason was dazed, his expression turning bitter.
A night with nothing to do but plenty of personal complaints.
By five in the morning, Jason, who still couldn't sleep, heard a notification sound from his phone. He didn't want to open his eyes again just to check what had arrived at this hour, but seconds later, the notifications kept coming.
"Who could it be at this hour?" Jason didn't have many friends, and even fewer relatives who genuinely cared, so he couldn't think of anyone who might be ssaging him—except maybe so friends from the military.
But as the notifications kept pouring in, he opened his eyes. The mont he picked up the phone with his right hand, the world around him began to grow darker and darker.
"What's happening to ?"
"Am I… fainting?"
Without understanding what was happening that night, Jason's life took a drastic turn.
Sothing he could never have imagined was about to happen, and he was about to discover far more terrifying things.
Is he ready for this new chapter in his life that awaits him?
