Amid the dizziness and chaos, Morgan managed to escape through the other side of the helicopter while dragging the wounded soldier in his arms.

Before leaving, Morgan gave Jason one last look. Jason seed determined in his next course of action, and Morgan slowly slipped away unnoticed by the people who were approaching.

Jason, on the other hand, raised his M4, perfectly modified for close-quarter combat. He watched as the first person ca closer, and after checking the surrounding targets, he opened fire.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

"Watch out!"

With a horrified scream, the joyful hearts of those approaching tightened—and just as they were about to see what was happening, bullets coming from inside the helicopter cabin struck them.

Even though Jason was dazed and his vision on the right side was slightly impaired by blood, his rage and his resolve to kill every single one of them were unimaginable.

Never, since he had been aware of himself, had he wanted to kill a group of living beings with such intensity.

From what Jason could tell, the helicopter had crashed next to what appeared to be a hospital. But what those people hadn't considered was that a horde of walkers was nearby—and it was only a matter of ti before they were all sward.

But as if none of that mattered, Jason kept firing rapidly and with great agility at the people in the cars. It wasn't long before he had to take cover from return fire, but even then, he managed to kill two more people.

"A walker horde is approaching!"

Bang! Bang! Bang!

When a man shouted those words, everyone outside the hospital tensed. They looked at each other in panic, trying to make the right decision to survive. But how could Jason let them go after they had killed so many of his own?

Unnoticed by them, Jason had crawled through the mud and blood-soaked ground, all with the sole purpose of closing the distance between him and the enemies on the other side of the street.

When Jason fixed his eyes on the group, he drew his pistol and, with precision, squeezed the trigger at the n debating what to do.

This ti, he wasn't focused on anything else but killing. There was no one left to protect, and by now Morgan was probably far enough to take care of himself.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

"Ahhh!!"

In just seconds, Jason made it to an abandoned vehicle. As he looked down, he saw the foot of soone on the other side of the car. Without hesitation, he aid and fired three shots.

The sound of the bullets triggered a cry of pain from the man, who collapsed forward—right as Jason shot him in the head, ending his life.

"Kill that bastard!"

While Jason was reloading his weapons, he heard yelling from across the street, not far from his position. Suddenly, a hail of bullets flew in his direction. But since he was under cover, none hit his body.

"Three... Five... Eight, and with those, it'll be twelve..." Jason muttered as he pulled two grenades from his vest and removed the pins. After identifying the source of the gunfire, he threw them.

Boom! Boom!

With the loud sound of two explosions, the car where the enemies had taken cover went up in flas, and the bodies of four people were torn apart.

So weren't killed instantly, and groans of pain could still be heard, but with the horde closing in, Jason knew they were as good as dead anyway.

Seeing there was no ti left to keep fighting, Jason glanced one last ti at the area before cautiously heading toward the helicopter cabin and collecting the remaining weapons.

He didn't know how long he'd be staying there, but one thing was certain—he needed weapons and food, which he found in the helicopter's backpack.

After giving a final glance at Billy Fisher's body, Jason aid his pistol and shot him in the head before sprinting toward the hospital.

From what he had seen, so people inside that building had to die—no matter what.

But just as Jason reached the entrance, a burst of bullets greeted him, and one struck his vest. You could say Jason was lucky—or the shooters were so bad that out of twenty bullets, only one actually hit him.

Fueled by adrenaline and ti, Jason managed to take cover behind a concrete wall in front of the hospital. He quickly checked the wound to see if the bullet had hit the vest or pierced through to his body.

The pain itself was unbearable, but what he was thankful for was that the bullet had hit his bulletproof vest.

Once the gunfire ceased, Jason grabbed his M4 and laid down suppressive fire toward the enemies, entering the hospital.

By that point, the walkers had overrun the area around the hospital, and those still outside were horrified by the sheer number of red-eyed walkers closing in.

Jason still had no intention of letting them escape. Grabbing two more grenades from his chest, he threw them ahead, destroying several vehicles and killing both people and walkers who had already arrived.

But the distant walkers hadn't ignored the commotion inside the hospital.

So idiots even dared to shoot directly at the horde. Most hadn't expected things to unfold this way—their original plan was to kill the helicopter survivors and escape before the walkers arrived.

However, one person had survived... and she had wiped out nearly the entire group in less than ten minutes.

Jason had always been the kind of man who could kill soone without a second thought. He'd been doing it since the virus outbreak. But later, he slowly started reducing the killings by his hand, all to maintain a just appearance within his group.

Everything had been going well—but that very mindset had slowly started to change him. The CRM was a looming threat to a community with incredible growth potential like his. Jason set out to build a community just as strong—if not stronger—than the CRM.

It was clear: two lions can't live in the sa desert. Once the CRM found his community, judging by their nature, they would most likely destroy it. Kill and leave no one alive—that's how the CRM operated.

That constant pressure to survive and protect the future began to shape Jason's decisions. He needed people and powerful forces. It wasn't enough to have twenty thousand soldiers—he needed power and dominance so strong that no one would even dream of harming them.

Jason still rembered Shane's question: Why would you go after those people?

Jason saw strength in people, giving them ti and training to beco true survivors. They wouldn't be a burden, a weight, or a shackle. They were people. And like Shane or Rick, they had friends and families.

Everyone was just trying to survive in this new world—and maybe, one day, find peace. Jason realized that abandoning those who were begging for help, who wanted to live just one more day, would an losing his humanity completely. And being soone like that wouldn't make him any different from the walking dead.

Jason didn't want to wander the world without reason or purpose. He wanted to build a strong, united force—cooperative and refined. An organization committed to rebuilding humanity, slowly and steadily.

But within that perfect world, those who sought harm for his people would have to die. Everyone who stood in his way or interfered with his plans would be eliminated.

Staring at the n hiding by the windows, trembling with the constant fear of the walkers outside, Jason grew cold. He raised his pistol. Taking a deep breath, he fired at this group of idiotic survivors.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The bullets instantly killed them. Most didn't even realize what had happened when their heads exploded in a mist of blood.

Just as Jason turned to leave, the radio on one of the n's waists crackled to life, and a voice ca through the speaker:

"Zz... What's all that noise in your area, Malvin? The cult won't like it if our n die over so stupid assumption like finding a helicopter nowadays..."

Lifting the radio from the ground, Jason pressed the button and replied:

"Zz... Where are we eting? We managed to grab a few interesting things—you're going to like them..."

"Co to the temple. We're staying one more week in this place before delivering the tribute to Teddy..."

"Zz... I'll be there."
