After another five minutes, the modified RV slowly drove along a gravel-paved path on the side of the road and, after moving a bit further, they found a small military base surrounded by wire sh fences.

It was not so much a base as a temporary camp. There were not many facilities here. Most of the rooms were tents. Only one row of houses stood in the back. It should look like a warehouse.

The camp had been searched before, but the raid was not thorough and there were still so supplies left.

Before coming here this ti, Jason was simply looking for an important batch of weapons that could serve as insurance in case sothing went wrong.

Thinking about this, considering that things had changed in unforeseen ways, he had to think about external variables that could put him in danger.

After a long ti, he had learned that no matter how many weapons one has, it is never enough, and he would always need more. This was not only seen by him, but also by all his people.

In terms of what was right, everything had ended in unforeseen ways, so Jason could only accept the changes and prepare for more in the future. Who could tell him that more powerful infected might not appear?

The Saviors were more aggressive; they completely wiped out the Kingdom, and he still doubted how their soldiers had not died in battle. It should be known that they were experienced fighters, so sothing must have happened that made them stop firing.

Were they really defeated in battle or in so cowardly way? That wasn't important. What mattered was that he had to be careful and not get complacent about things.

At that mont, the modified RV had already entered the yard of this small camp. At first glance, the gate was not closed, but in fact not many walkers had entered, and all of them were eliminated without much effort.

There were so green military tents and a few broken trucks in the yard. This ti, no one paid attention to those trucks. The most important thing now was to find supplies as soon as possible.

"Divide into two groups. Daryl, take a group to the tents, and I'll go to the warehouse to take a look."

"Alright, be careful."

There should have been a good amount of weapons in this place, but even after the two groups searched for a while, they didn't find much.

Looking at the few weapons that were found, Jason frowned. Really strange—was there nothing else?

There shouldn't have been many people who had set foot here. Was there really sothing being left behind? Looking around the camp, it seed that the only places they hadn't paid attention to were the few trucks that remained.

"Daryl, did you check the truck?"

"I didn't climb up into the trucks. I looked underneath, but there was nothing."

"Did you know that sotis hidden things are in the most forgotten places?"

Walking behind several trucks, he discovered that the bodies of these trucks were all made of wooden boards, which seed to be ant to keep the exterior safe.

Casually opening the back cover of a truck, with a harsh sound of tal friction, the rear cover opened.

The whole group eagerly looked at the middle layer between the truck body, which was filled with not-so-thick crates.

Soone casually pulled out a wooden crate and imdiately knew there was sothing interesting in this heavy box.

Click!

A box full of bullets!

Seeing this scene, these people didn't need to be ordered. Everyone walked to the back of the four remaining trucks, and soon bursts of joyful shouts could be heard.

"Alright, don't make noise. Move everything to our trucks."

Now that the supplies had been found, they had to be careful that there wasn't any kind of danger nearby.

"Don't lag behind!"

A group of people desperately moved supplies, and the spaces of the trucks and the modified RV quickly filled up at a visible speed. Although the trucks were soon emptied, it was enough for what they needed. Moreover, the weapons and ammunition weren't heavy, but everyone was already too exhausted. Half an hour later, there was still one truck full of things that hadn't been moved.

Jason thought the people he brought weren't enough. He should have brought more. Then his observant eyes noticed so walkers approaching from in front of the camp.

"Darryl, Glenn!"

When their nas were called, the two looked up at the sa ti but saw Jason pointing with his finger. They looked through the gap in the truck and instantly understood what he ant.

Putting their guns on their backs and pulling out their machetes, the two walked toward the gate.

There was still one truck of supplies left, and the four remaining people knew ti was running out, so they rolled up their sleeves and began moving desperately. These team mbers were used to it now. Anyway, every ti they went out with the captain to find supplies, there would be many results—but never without danger.

But they were always prepared!

Holding a hand crossbow, Daryl first dealt with the walkers rushing forward, and then instead of retreating, he walked straight ahead with a machete.

The two cleared them one by one in this way, but gradually began to feel that sothing was wrong. More and more walkers rushed toward the camp. At first, everything was handled by just the two of them, but now things were getting complicated.

Because the roadbed here was very high, the location of the base was much lower than the road, and suddenly among the slow walkers one rushed forward with bloodshot eyes. Glenn, who was familiar with this, shot it with his gun.

And when they looked further ahead at the surroundings, they were shocked by the sight. The walkers advancing from the other side of the forest grew much denser, and the number increased greatly. There could not have been fewer than two hundred walkers in the horde. Based on their speed, the massive horde, with one or two red-eyed walkers occasionally mixed in, would take three minutes to reach their side. The two realized they could no longer control the situation with only lee weapons.

Looking back at the truck, the four were still struggling to move the crate. Who knew if they could finish it in three minutes?

Glenn raised his weapon and, after a few shots, the first walkers fell to the ground.

"Go tell the captain. We have to retreat quickly. I'll hold them off first."

Watching Darryl moving farther away, one soldier looked at another and then gripped his weapon again.

Bang Bang Bang!

On burst-fire mode, he saved bullets as much as possible, but the problem that followed was that the walkers inevitably advanced.

His body kept retreating, and he finished firing another magazine. When he reached out, his magazine was empty!

Panicking, his foot slipped and his body suddenly fell backward. A walker opened its mouth and lunged at him.

The walker bit down on his left arm, and Glenn, caught off guard by the walkers, pushed hard to resist, but another walker ca at him from the other side.

They were a bit too far, and Glenn desperately stared at the disgusting heads that seed to fill his vision, and Maggie's urging flickered in his mories.

"I'll co back safe, Maggie!"

Just as he thought that, the sound of a car was heard in the distance.
