Soren’s theory was quite simple. If the strange reverberations he had heard previously originate from so mystical source, he could use [Hymns of the Unseen] to map out the overall spread of the echoes so that he could triangulate their origins.
Although he was a bit apprehensive about taking this approach, he knew that eventually, he would have to learn about this anyway. With [The Faerie Court] providing ample protection, now was the perfect ti to take so risks.
With his breathing remaining steady and his mind fully cleared, he commanded his Soul Weapon to change the skill’s target to locate any presence of the ‘worldsong.’
Just as he expected, the sounds of forest once again disappeared, leaving behind only stillness and silence. The only thing he could sense was the soft breeze brushing against his skin, but that too was nothing more than an illusion of the mind.
He refocused his thoughts, hoping to sense even the faintest of leads.
For a while, the Realm of Realms remained as it always was. It felt as if he was floating in space, where no sound wave could ever reach. The isolation made him feel cold and lonely, reminding him of many unpleasant things.
Eventually though, he shook away the unnecessary feelings and managed to notice sothing. A faint whisper in the wind had broken the eerie silence.
Although it was faint and close to disappearing, its existence in this void was akin to finding a light at the end of a long tunnel.
Hope flickered in his eyes as he refocused his efforts again. His Echo of Mind was calr than any ocean, yearning to regain its waves from the ripples created by the new song.
Even with its faintness, Soren consud every decibel he could. He observed its slow rhythm quietly under the darkness of the forest.
It didn’t take long for him to realize sothing. Unlike the previous two songs, this one was a lot more hypnotic. Despite it being close to inaudible, Soren still couldn’t help but sway his head with the rhythm.
It was as if he had returned to the Mushroom Dance all over again.
Is this the essence of a worldsong? I can’t resist following the tunes…
As it continued, he realized his body was beginning to move more and more dramatically, but the twists were never as exhausting as the previous ti. The song carried a calmness to its tempo, but also there were hidden undercurrents that existed. Ones he couldn’t decipher at all…
Frowning slightly, Soren stepped forward in a dance, leaving the mushroom circle behind. His previous plan of trying to triangulate the song’s location no longer mattered. The strange dance was leading him on its own, as if carving a path through the silence.
Soren walked forward in stride, passing through the twisted treeline further and further, until eventually, he reached the end of the imagined forest.
Existing beyond it was a grassy flower field. The night sky up ahead fell behind the flowery horizon, illuminated by countless strange, crayon-painted colors that shifted like waves. Vibrant childish drawings plastered the serene bubble, depicting chess pieces, glass beakers, books, plants, celestial objects, and many other random things.
However, what drew his attention the most was the patterns at which the colors ford. They resembled ripples forming on the surface of a serene lake, but their cause was nowhere to be found. They continued to move in such distinct ways, unbothered by the strange drawn items floating above.
Aside from my Runic Existence, Cantor’s Crown stirred sothing within the Faerie Court as well… He noted to himself in silence and continued forward.
Eventually, his walk led him to a strange formation encircling the entire garden space. Marble archways stood tall before him, each spaced equally from the one before it. These were the gateways to other worlds that populated [The Faerie Court].

I see… Soren turned back only to realize that the forest he was in had disappeared. What stood in its place was a colossal marble canopy, illuminated by a pillar of light at its center. The surrounding space had likely shifted back to its usual state during his rhythmic walk.
Unlike before, the pillar of light that housed his Runic Existence was far calr than it usually was—evidence of Fignt’s departure.
Sighing inwardly, Soren glanced back at the nearest gateway, his frown evident even in the dark.
Is the worldsong coming from this gate?... He wondered in silence as the worldsong slowly began to fade.
Knowing that it might disappear at any mont, Soren quickly ordered the activation of [Record]. Unlike this fleeting lody, his library was both eternal and incorruptible. He wanted to try chronicling its existence before it could disappear.
As he was doing this, another theory ca to mind. Since the song he was listening to led him to this gate, perhaps the ones he had heard before also held similar origins…
These could be remnant echoes of these worlds, preserved throughout the centuries within this isolated space. Or perhaps the gates still hold so connection to them that I haven’t understood…
Regardless, this made him extrely fearful. After all, the strange lody he first heard after successfully upgrading his Soul Weapon was grating and harsh to the ear. Enough to even inflict madness and pain…
Whichever world it ca from, it must be extrely dangerous…
But then again, they were all likely dangerous. The one he was currently listening to seed calm and peaceful, but there were clearly hints of desperation and pain hidden beneath the surface. No matter how hard he tried to interpret them, nothing seed to work.
This also made him realize sothing else about [Hymn of the Unseen]. Unlike the worldsong they listened to during the Mushroom Dance ritual, these ones were far more rigid in their structure. Soren couldn’t redefine or reinterpret their anings depending on his willpower, which ant he likely needed to hold a higher understanding of the world it represents for him to embody it.
This was likely due to its origins. The lody they listened to during the ritual was sothing they manifested from their own willpower. Even though it did hold a representation of Yarian, it was still ford through their own understanding.
Of course, the goal back then wasn’t to really embody Yarian’s worldsong. They were simply using it to create a Pseudo Concept, so the interpretation never mattered.
If I were to revisit Yarian, how different would the lody sound? The thought made him excited to return as quickly as possible.
Just as the hushed lody was about to vanish, a swarm of butterflies gathered together, forming a new holographic window before his very eyes.
Soren quickly scanned over the new information.
Event Log
New Entry Recorded: The Undying Coil (Musica)
Nodding, he quickly ordered for the entry to be brought forward. Since it was freshly new, Soren didn’t need to search for it in the floating library like before.
Another window popped up, displaying what he wanted to see:
The Undying Coil (Musica)
Light rges with darkness. Fire dances with ice. And the heavens cling tightly to the earth. All things holding to a fleeting mont, as the stillness grinds away at their undying coil. Yeongwon waits for them all…
As he read the text, Soren’s face flashed with confusion. What does any of this an?..
The description was both vague and ominous. Indeed, his earlier apprehension was not unwarranted. Whatever rested behind that gateway was definitely dangerous…
Glancing down the page, he noticed sothing even more unusual.
“Sheet music?..”
Several lines were etched horizontally—all of them equally spaced. Above rested strange symbols which he recognized as music notes.
This is strange… The Records has never been able to do this before…
Many weeks ago, during his journey across the Avalon Ruins, Myrin would occasionally play his flute to calm their nerves. One day, Soren decided to try and experint with [Record] by attempting to chronicle one of his lodies.
The results were very disappointing.
Aside from the na and a few descriptive lines about what his own thoughts were, there was practically no information available. He had assud it would try to preserve the harmonies as sheet music, but that turned out to be wishful thinking.
At the ti, he assud it was likely due to his lack of knowledge on the matter. Although Yarian did possess so rudintary musical notation systems based on the Vinuan alphabet, Soren never attempted to learn them, so his Soul Weapon had no way of chronicling the tunes.
At the ti, he saw no reason to pursue such a venture, as his ti was better spent furthering his magecraft.
So then, how was The Records chronicling this information now?
He thought about it for a mont, then finally realized sothing.
“[Record]... It ascended to Rank 2!”
