During the few seconds of Dao An’s hesitant pondering, Gu Yuan had already hung up the phone.
On the other side.
Sheng Yi saw that Yuanyuan hung up the phone and was secretly thinking, sure enough, just by hearing Chi Yu’s na, Yuanyuan would get angry and give Dao An no chance to speak.

She picked up the phone, answered, and put it to her ear, "What’s the matter?"
"President Gu, please let finish first."
After being hung up on by President Gu, Dao An did hesitate for a minute or two. He had seen with his own eyes how President Gu and Chi Yu got together and parted ways, but aside from the unspeakable matters, Chi Yu was genuinely good to President Gu.
At this mont, he should have imdiately called President Gu back to inform her of Chi Yu’s situation.
But before dialing President Gu’s number, he found Chi Yu’s number and called it first.

No matter how many tis he dialed, he couldn’t get through.
At that mont, Dao An knew in his heart that Chi Yu wasn’t possibly in trouble; he was truly in danger.
Therefore, without a second of hesitation, he redialed Gu Yuan’s number. When Gu Yuan answered and asked what the matter was, Dao An directly explained:

"Yiyi, I’m leaving first; keep in touch by phone if there’s anything." Gu Yuan instructed, then turned and left.
She moved quickly.
Sheng Yi could see Gu Yuan’s urgency, but Yuanyuan was still trying to maintain her composure. Sheng Yi sighed inwardly, knowing that there were only two possible outcos for Yuanyuan and Chi Yu now:
One was a happy ending, the other was a complete and clean break.
"Yuanyuan, be careful," Sheng Yi called out.
That graceful figure had already walked far away.
It would usually take Gu Yuan over twenty minutes to return to the company, but she made it back in just under ten minutes; she sped all the way.
By then, Dao An was already waiting, and when he saw Gu Yuan return, he imdiately approached, "President Gu."
