"So it’s possible?" Sheng Yi asked.
Dao An nodded, "Yes."
Sheng Yi put down her chopsticks, chewed the sweet and sour pork in her mouth twice more and swallowed it, and then asked a very fatal question for herself, "So you’re saying you’ll eventually settle down and build a career abroad?"
She wanted to say get married and have children but felt it was too direct and inappropriate, so she said settle down and build a career.
After all, it ans the sa thing.
The latter is obviously more tactful.
Dao An saw Sheng Yi asking him with a curious face if he would settle down and build a career abroad. His first reaction was to tell her: No.
But he was clear that there was no result between them.
His developnt abroad was undecided.
Nothing can be said for certain.
Unable to provide her with the most stable life, he naturally wouldn’t make promises lightly. Unless he stayed in the ho country, but what would be the point of that? To watch over soone who doesn’t like him and then watch her marry and have children with another man, Dao An couldn’t do it, he feared he would try to take her away.
"Dao An, will you really settle down and build a career abroad?" Sheng Yi asked again, anxious after not hearing an answer the first ti.
