The sky was just beginning to brighten.
The first beam of light pierced through the clouds, illuminating the giant LED screen at Sky Street Square, which displayed an advertisent poster for a mobile phone brand endorsed by Chi Yu.
Chi Yu got up very early. He initially planned to personally... cook, but realizing his cooking might not sit well with Gu Yuan’s stomach first thing in the morning, he ordered a Cantonese breakfast instead.
The electronic alert at the door chid.
The food delivery had arrived.
Chi Yu went to open the door.
He was bare-chested; the intense marks left from last night were glaringly obvious, but he seed unfazed and didn’t bother covering up, brazenly allowing others to see.
The property manager guy: "..." Back in Syria, he never sustained such heavy injuries!
Ah, youth is a wonderful thing.
The property manager handed over several bags to Chi Yu, who took them and politely said thank you. The property manager smiled and said it was nothing, then left.
After closing the door, Chi Yu placed the breakfast on the dining table.
There’s a rule against delivery guys entering certain communities like Yujing No.1, so a designated property manager does the delivery instead.
Chi Yu unpacked the food and took a sniff— it slled wonderful, and he thought, "Yuanyuan will surely like this."
He returned to the living room.
The king-sized bed was pristine white, with fresh linens from last night. The sleeping woman lay with a bare shoulder exposed, her coral-like dense hair spread all over the pillow.
Chi Yu approached the bed, knelt on one knee, leaned forward slowly, and placed a fervent kiss on her fragrant shoulder.
The woman stirred slightly, drawing her arm back under the blanket.
Seeing this, Chi Yu chuckled and called to her, "Yuanyuan, get up for breakfast, you’ll be late for work."
Gu Yuan opened her weary eyes, her body aching slightly. It had been a while since she’d been this indulgent. She wasn’t heading to the office until the afternoon, so there was no rush to get up.
Chi Yu thought Gu Yuan was just too tired and refusing to get up. He lifted a corner of the blanket, wrapped an arm around her slender waist, ready to pull her up.
Gu Yuan’s voice reached his ear: "Don’t disturb , I’m working this afternoon, let rest."
Chi Yu raised his eyebrows high, leaning into her neck: "Baby, what did you just say?"
Gu Yuan pushed him away, "Stop it."
"Okay, I won’t."
Chi Yu lifted the blanket and slipped inside.
When the warm air engulfed her, Gu Yuan could no longer sleep peacefully. He was at it again...
Gu Yuan protested, pushing against his shoulders to stop his kisses: "Enough, Chi Yu, let get so sleep."
"We’ll catch up on sleep later together," Chi Yu ignored her protest, lifting the hem of her nightgown, his long fingers trailing over her waist.
He thought she had work today, so he got up early, ordered breakfast, and even planned to personally drive her to the office later.
Little did he know she was working late today!
It was then Chi Yu realized he had scheduled everything too early, and the breakfast delivery was premature.
But that wasn’t the main point.
The main point was that he could continue to enjoy himself.
He rolled Gu Yuan over, making her lie on top of him.
At this point, Gu Yuan wasn’t even fully awake.
A soft moan escaped her lips.
Once she was fully awake, Gu Yuan’s voice was soft as she called him: "...Don’t, I can’t..."
"Yuanyuan, look at , look at ," he coaxed her.
And then, her vulnerability was seized...

Morning always seed to pass extraordinarily quickly.
More than an hour later, Chi Yu carried Gu Yuan to the bathroom.
After coming out, Chi Yu tidied up the bed sheets, checked the breakfast on the dining table, and found it hadn’t cooled down yet— it was just the right temperature, so he waited for Gu Yuan to co out.
When Gu Yuan erged from the bathroom, her expression was not friendly.
Chi Yu tried to talk to her, but she ignored him. Her expression was more disgruntled than cold. Chi Yu, knowing full well he was the culprit behind her sour mood, wisely avoided provoking her further.
The breakfast was warm. Though it wasn’t as hot as when first delivered, it was still good.
After a silent breakfast, Gu Yuan returned to the living room, not saying a word to Chi Yu, clearly demonstrating her grievance towards the morning intimacy.
Chi Yu began to regret it as well.
He walked to the living room door, tentatively placing his hand on the doorknob, bracing himself for it to be locked. His nerves were tense as he pressed down.
Fortunately, the door opened.
It wasn’t locked from the inside.
When Chi Yu entered, he thought Gu Yuan might have returned to bed, but after scanning the room, he found her in the walk-in closet, changing clothes when he pushed the door open.
Without pausing his steps, his eyes deepened as he continued to approach her.
