When he unbuckled his belt, Gu Yuan glanced at him; when he pulled the belt out, Gu Yuan had already turned around.

Chi Yu bluntly said, "Help take off my clothes."
Gu Yuan recoiled, "You stink."
He put on an expression of being dramatically wounded: "You don’t mind when you’re washing your daughter, but with , you do?!"
He made it sound so plausible.
As if he was truly being rejected.
Gu Yuan shook off his hand, leisurely scrutinized him, then said, "Suisui is still young and can’t clean the mud off herself, so of course, I, as her mother, have to help. You’re an adult with hands and feet, capable of doing simple tasks yourself, yet you depend on others?"
He laughed, "Not others, just the wife."
Feigning a charming smile, though being dirty all over made his face look ridiculous anyway.
Gu Yuan couldn’t hold it in, letting out a chuckle from her throat: "You really argue well."
He answered, "Not bad." And added, "It’s all about sharpening my tongue."
Gu Yuan raised her hand to bump him, and he conveniently closed the bathroom door.

The weather today is a bit sultry and stuffy.
Dark clouds are pressing over from the south, it seems like it’s going to rain tonight. The village head brought out the big electric fan to give everyone so relief from the heat, and Aunt Cai made so local cool cakes to quench everyone’s thirst and cravings.
Lin Shi ate four pieces of cool cake by himself, each as big as a fist, cold and not choking, and sweet.
After feasting, Lin Shi declared, "I swear, this is the best food I’ve eaten since coming to the countryside."
Generally, at tis like these, everyone avoids putting him down, not out of courtesy but out of laziness to do so.
Sheng Yi replied out of boredom, "If you swear again, we’ll be stuck here tomorrow morning."

Everyone laughed boisterously, even the photographers couldn’t help but laugh.
Aunt Cai chid in at this mont, "In the past two years, the incidents of landslides on the mountain roads have decreased significantly, unlike in previous years when they were frequent, hindering commutes with repairs every few days during sumr. Though there will be showers tonight, it seems they won’t be heavy, so you should be able to leave tomorrow morning."
Upon hearing Aunt Cai’s words, everyone was a lot more relieved.
Even though the program recording officially wraps up tonight, they could still leave during the night.
But tonight, it will rain.
And driving along those winding mountain roads at night is quite unnerving, so for safety’s sake, it’s better to drive during the day.
Suisui ca out from the house as they chatted.
The little girl had just bathed and changed into clean clothes, her hair washed and air-dried, hanging softly over her shoulders, her features stunningly beautiful.
Lin Shi’s eyes widened, "This is a walking porcelain doll!"
He was preparing to get up, not really intending to hug Suisui, but his sudden movent startled her, and she instantly pounced into Sheng Yi’s arms, clutching Sheng Yi’s neck and timidly looking at Lin Shi.

Lin Xijiang tugged at Lin Shi’s shirt hem, "Alright, sit back down. You standing there will scare the little one."
Lin Shi scratched behind his ear, concocting nonsense, "Actually, it’s because I’m too handso. The kid must be awestruck by my good looks, not scared, right?"
When he said ’right,’ he looked at Suisui in Sheng Yi’s arms.
Suisui puffed up her cheeks, turned her face away from him.
Lin Shi: "..."
Lin Xijiang laughed.
Fu Yao laughed too, but her laughter was the loudest, "Lin Shi, Suisui doesn’t like you at all. Stop scaring her, okay?"
Lin Shi was still unconvinced, "Maybe I wasn’t as handso today as yesterday?"
