What was going on?
Everyone looked at each other, completely baffled.
Su Maosen's daughter, Su Yani, had struck it rich in business and co back ho to visit with her boyfriend. All the neighbors had co out to greet her.
But Su Maosen's own brother, Su Maolin, was conspicuously absent.
"It must be jealousy!"
"That's right. The closer the relative, the more they hate seeing you do better than them."
"There are too many people like that. Countless, I tell you."
The crowd broke into another round of discussion.
It was a sad but true reflection of human nature.
"Co on, let's go see what's really going on," soone suggested.
The idea quickly gained traction, and the group headed toward Su Maolin's house.
They still couldn't understand why Su Yani and Jin Gang would take the initiative to visit Su Maolin's ho with so many expensive gifts.
"Brother Su, you've got a good daughter. Yani is so kind and generous."

Su Yani was diligently cleaning the house, wiping down tables and washing windows.
anwhile, Jin Gang, Su Maosen's wealthy future son-in-law, was out in the yard leveling the uneven ground, sweating as he worked.
As for Su Maolin and his wife, Wang Feng, they just stood there awkwardly, not knowing whether to stand or sit.
Everyone was dumbfounded.
What in the world was going on now?
"BEEP BEEP!"
Just then, a car horn sounded from outside.
Jiang Xinghai and Su Yanyun were back.
"Is that Yan..."
"Yanyun! It's Su Yanyun!"
"She's... alive!"
"Su Yanyun is back!"
The neighbors were aghast, staring blankly as Jiang Xinghai and Su Yanyun walked in hand in hand. It took them a long mont to snap out of it.
"Uncles, aunts, you're all here." Su Yanyun greeted them warmly.
The crowd nodded subconsciously.
"Yanyun, look at those two..." Su Maolin quickly pulled Su Yanyun aside. "What's going on? Why did they co to our house and start doing chores?"
"You'll have to ask them."
Su Yanyun giggled and took Su Yani's hand. "Cousin, you and my future brother-in-law... what's all this?"
"President Su, Mr. Jiang, this is what we should be doing."
Su Yani, ever so tactful, bowed in front of everyone.
"It's nothing, not worth ntioning," Jin Gang added with a quick smile.
This scene left everyone present speechless once again.
Su Yani was bowing before Su Yanyun and calling her "President Su"?
They couldn't have misheard, could they?
"Folks, it's true I do business in Jizhou, but Yanyun is my boss..." Su Yani calmly explained in front of everyone.
Soon, it dawned on the villagers.
Imdiately, their gazes shifted from Su Yanyun to the couple, Su Maolin and Wang Feng.
"Brother Maolin, let help you clean the yard."
"That's right, none of us have anything better to do. We'll help you tidy up..."
"Second Brother, Second Sister-in-law, you two should go inside and sit down. Don't just stand there."
The villagers all began to curry favor, bustling about busily.
Su Maolin and Wang Feng were deeply moved. All this warmth from their neighbors was because their daughter had finally made sothing of herself!
A gratified smile finally appeared on Su Yanyun's face.
This was the scene she had hoped to see.

"Xinghai, thank you," Su Yanyun said from the passenger seat, gazing at Jiang Xinghai's profile.
Jiang Xinghai kept his eyes on the road. "It's nothing, not worth ntioning."
"You didn't go back last night. Was Lingxue angry?" Su Yanyun changed the subject.
"She wouldn't be angry, but the main thing is I haven't fulfilled the promise I made to her father." Jiang Xinghai had promised Shen Zhengye that he would help him regain his vigor.
The two chatted, arriving in Jizhou an hour later.
"Well, I won't keep you then. Go on, get to your business. But rember to co and see often, okay?"
Su Yanyun gave his cheek a aningful caress, then smiled and walked into the AM Health and Wellness Center.
Inside the wellness center, Cai Xiujuan was, surprisingly, already there.
"Boss Su, the man driving... was that Jiang Xinghai?"
Cai Xiujuan hadn't been able to get Jiang Xinghai off her mind. She had tried calling and adding him on WeChat last night, all to no avail.
She had co to lie in wait after lunch today. Before Su Yanyun could even respond, she rushed out the door.
