"Don't worry. You're still untouched."
Jiang Xinghai smiled warmly. "Luckily, you had the foresight. Your worries were justified, but everything's fine now."
"That's good!"
Feng Lulu wore the expression of soone who had just survived a disaster, her arms still wrapped around Jiang Xinghai.
Jiang Xinghai didn't push her away and proceeded to tell her what had happened to He Zixing.
"That damn little bastard was turned into an idiot? Haha! Good! That's so satisfying!" Feng Lulu bead, then surprised Jiang Xinghai with a kiss.
"Is this my reward?" Jiang Xinghai laughed.
Feng Lulu lowered her head. "What else would you want?"
She realized how inappropriate it was to be holding onto Jiang Xinghai so intimately and was about to move away.
But as she started to move, she felt sothing strange and her expression changed drastically. "Xinghai, your body is so hot…"
"Shh… Don't make a sound."
Jiang Xinghai placed a finger on Feng Lulu's lips. "And don't move."
Mortified, Feng Lulu didn't dare to move a muscle.
It turned out that Jiang Xinghai had spotted Shen Lingxue and Ma Long. They had finished their dinner and were now standing at the railing outside, admiring the Jizhou nightscape.
His focus was on ensuring Shen Lingxue's safety.
In doing so, he'd completely overlooked Feng Lulu's current predicant!

But when she followed Jiang Xinghai's gaze, she saw Shen Lingxue chatting happily with an unfamiliar man.

To play her part, she had no choice but to stay quiet, remaining on Jiang Xinghai's lap.
"Lingxue, thank you for giving this chance tonight."
Ma Long had been nothing but a gentleman, not showing the slightest hint of disrespect the entire evening.
"We're old classmates, after all. There's no need to be so formal." Shen Lingxue smiled as she gazed out at the night.
But in her heart, she was thinking of Jiang Xinghai.
'Is he really that comfortable leaving with Ma Long?'
'Is he not worried at all about being out alone at night?'
"How about we go to a KTV to unwind?" Ma Long suddenly suggested.
"To a KTV!"
Shen Lingxue deliberately raised her voice.
She wasn't sure if Jiang Xinghai was even at the First-grade Pavilion, or if he was secretly watching over her.
"Right. That place, Harbor KTV, is supposed to be good. Are you interested?" Ma Long pressed.
"Karaoke sounds nice, but I think it might be a bit dull with just the two of us. How about we invite Yanyun?" Shen Lingxue still had so reservations.
Ma Long hesitated for only a mont before saying, "I heard you ntion Yanyun is starting a company. Maybe I could offer her so advice. It's a good idea to have her join us."
Shen Lingxue imdiately dialed Su Yanyun's number and made the arrangents.
Then, she added deliberately, "Let's go, Ma Long. We're heading to Harbor KTV for so karaoke!"
With that, the two of them departed.
From their spot on the landing between the eighth and ninth floors, Jiang Xinghai and Feng Lulu had heard every word.
"Let's go, Lulu. We're going to Harbor KTV, too." Jiang Xinghai released Feng Lulu.
But Feng Lulu, who had just been struggling to get out of his arms, now seed reluctant to leave. "Xinghai, are you pursuing Lingxue?"
"Of course not. I'm her driver," Jiang Xinghai said seriously.
"And what else?" Feng Lulu asked with a playful look.
"I'm also her assistant," Jiang Xinghai added.
"And then what?" Feng Lulu's expression turned serious.
Jiang Xinghai simply lifted Feng Lulu off his lap. "I'm also the director of the Shen Group's security departnt."
"Wow, Xinghai. One man, three jobs. You must be so important and powerful," Feng Lulu said sarcastically.
"Let's go."
Jiang Xinghai didn't feel like explaining any further. 'This girl seems to have a lot on her mind.'
"I should just go back to Jishan Hall. Otherwise, my aunt will worry."
Once they were downstairs, Feng Lulu finally made up her mind. "I know you're indebted to the Shen Family, so I completely support you going to protect Lingxue in secret. You should go. I'll just grab a taxi."
"No." Jiang Xinghai pulled her back toward the car.
A little over ten minutes later, they arrived at Jishan Hall.
"Aren't you coming in to say hello to my aunt?" Feng Lulu asked after getting out of the car.
Jiang Xinghai gave an awkward smile. "I don't have to say hi every single ti, do I?"
"Xinghai, I heard my aunt talking in her sleep one night. It sounded like she was muttering your na. And…"
Feng Lulu's face turned pink as she continued, "And she was making these embarrassing moaning sounds… like she was having an... an erotic dream."
"Hss…"
Jiang Xinghai winced, thoroughly embarrassed. He could only force a serious expression and say, "Lulu, you must have misheard."
"Maybe."
Feng Lulu grinned, flashing a set of pearly white teeth. "How about you stay the night and listen to my aunt's sleep-talking for yourself?"
