[Flashback: A day before FengJiu returned]
Xiao Mei was utterly devastated. She had been trying to call MinDe since she acquired his phone number, but after that incident where she claimed herself to be the Future Second Young Madam, MinDe did not even bother answering her call.
'Why??! Were my advances not enough? Maybe I should try another pickup line? Or write a poem and send it later?'
Xiao Mei was currently staring outside the window. She was sitting inside a snack café. Even after eating five donuts and three strawberry shortcakes, she still felt lethargic. No amount of sugar could increase her energy. She felt cheated.
'That bad gege!! He lied to me!! What 'introduction'?!! What 'getting intrigued'?? Utter rubbish!! MinDe did not even answered my calls. Boo~ hoo~ Ah Jiu, where are you?? Bad gege is treating me like an idiot...' Xiao Mei was sobbing while sipping her favorite shake.
She was currently pitying herself when she saw a very, very, very familiar silhouette. She saw a man walking towards the counter. He was wearing a corporate attire. He was looking at his watch as he ordered.
Xiao Mei was startled. Looking at the man that had been haunting her in her dreams for days, she suddenly hyperventilated. Unable to stop herself, she subconsciously sipped her shake a little faster.
Because the shake almost entered her lungs, on impulse, she immediately exhaled, trying to spit out everything. The shake went out of her mouth and... at her nose.
She immediately covered her face with tissues, fearing that Lu MinDe would see her in her current state. 'Xiao Mei you disgusting girl!! So unladylike!!'
She tried to clean her face, wiping tissues all over. She then patted her head and arranged her hair, trying to look as beautiful as she could.
'Aiyaa.. Here I am, thinking that he did not care about me... But see?? He delivered himself on a silver plate[1]!! What a shy guy. Acting like this.' Xiao Mei internally celebrated. She was happy that MinDe 'followed' her here.
Xiao Mei coughed and tried to calm herself. She stood up and started walking upright while slightly pointing her chin upward. She acted 'normal', as if she did not see him at all.
She slowly walked towards the counter. When she was almost near at her target, she 'fell' towards him.
"Ahhh.." She immediately grabbed his arm, trying to squeeze herself between his body and his shoulder.
She weakly leaned on him. Secretly inhaling his scent, filling her lungs with his fragrance.
"T-thank you!" She angled herself to make sure MinDe would see her special features. She tried to pinch her shoulder, making her eyes moistened with tears.
When she 'saw' his face, she gasped. "Ohh! It's--it's you.. Thank you for catching Xiao Mei. X-Xiao Mei is very grateful towards you."
Xiao Mei immediately stood up and stared at him shyly.
"Please let Xiao Mei pay you back by inviting you a dinner this weekend. I'll-I'll wait for you at The Royals at 6pm. G-goodbye." After saying her piece, she immediately turned and ran towards the door, leaving a stupefied MinDe that was standing like a statue.
He stared at his arm that was clutched by Xiao Mei a while ago. A faint glint could be seen in his eyes.
Xiao Mei felt like she was walking in the clouds. She was giggling while running away.
'Success!! This princess is really great!! Oh I love myself!! Ah Jiu~ You must return quickly or else, I will not have a maid of honor during my wedding.'

MinFeng had been traveling everywhere. He did not even bother sleeping or eating. He looked so haggard like an old man. His eyes were full of dark circles.
All the places that Xiao Mei listed were visited by him personally but he still could not find Feng Jiu's shadow. He never tried to contact her because he knew, she would never answer his calls.
MinFeng was currently sitting at the back of his car. He was leaning on the backseat while trying to fall asleep, but he couldn't. All of his thoughts were on Feng Jiu. Thinking about Feng Jiu's temper, she might really hide from him for the rest of her life.
He suddenly felt afraid. He had been living in hell for almost a week already. Thinking that he might continue to feel like this for all eternity, he wanted to find her ASAP and lock her inside his bedroom.
So that she couldn't escape, and she couldn't get away from him. He would make sure she would stay there forever. So, no one could see her. No one could touch her. No one could love her but him. Only him. No one else.
His thoughts were distracted by the sudden call from his phone. It was his grandfather calling.
"Hello."
"E HERE. NOW." As fast as the wind, the phone call was cut off just like that.
"To the Ancestral Mansion."
MinFeng told his driver. Few minutes later, he arrived at his grandfather's study. He knocked the door and entered the room. "MinFeng pays respect to grandfather."
"You, crazy man!! I did not give you the pany so you could just abandon it later!!"
"MinFeng does not understand what grandfather means."
"Do not try to trick me!! You've been trying to search for someone in this past few days!! You neglected your duty for some nameless wrench. If I did not pay attention to Chen Hao's secretive actions, I wouldn't even know that you already turned Beijing upside down!! You even mobilized Lu Security Agency!! You bastard!! Are you crazy??! The Agency is for protecting business tycoons and influential people!! Not for finding some nameless gold digger!!"
MinFeng did not respond but his eyes shone a dangerous glint. Suddenly, Chen Hao sent him a message. [Boss. We already located Miss Feng's car.] After reading Chen Hao's message, MinFeng wanted to leave immediately.
"Stop this instance! You already have a fiancé. You will get married quickly. So, you better cease this nonsense and forget that woman."
"I refuse."
*bamm!* Chairman Lu slammed his hand on the table.
"You, ingrate!! I will strip your power!! I will disown you!"
MinFeng turned around and said, "Feel free to do it, Grandfather."
"You---!!" Chairman Lu almost spat out blood.
"MINFENG!! WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT!! YOU WILL MARRY FENG JIU OF FENG INTERNATIONAL!!" Chairman Lu roared.
MinFeng froze. He turned his head and asked, "What.Did.You.Say?"
Seeing his grandson stopping on his tracks, chairman Lu scoffed. "Both of you are already betrothed with each other since young. You have to marry her at all cost! The Lu Family's promises are golden words."
MinFeng did not respond. Few seconds later, he laughed like a lunatic. MinFeng laughed as hard as he could. He had been searching for that bastard for months.
'I even vowed that I would definitely kill that bastard who was trying to snatch Feng Jiu way from me. Seems like Feng Jiu was rightfully mine from the start.'
MinFeng smiled wickedly. His eyes shone brightly.
