Roughly two hours after the Jade Soul King's second death, a female apparition with blue crystalline features arrived at the beckon of the Pyrite Soul King.
"You called for , my Lord?" the female apparition asked.
"Nephrita, bind the Jadesky Core and beco this planet's new owner. From now on, you will be the Soul Queen of the Jadesky Territory," the Pyrite Soul King ordered.
Nephrita was a Rank 6 Divine Being and was the most loyal and strongest of his Soul Attendants.
Despite Nephrita's great surprise, she quickly recovered her wits and answered resolutely, "Yes, my Lord!"
Normally, the selection of a new Soul King or Soul Queen requires the votes of all existing Soul Kings and Soul Queens. As such, it was clear that the Pyrite Soul King was abusing his authority and making an arbitrary decision.
However, Nephrita didn't care and only needed to follow the Pyrite Soul King's orders. No one would refuse such an opportunity.
Once Nephrita beca the new Soul Queen of the Jadesky Territory, it would be too late for the other Soul Kings and Soul Queens to revoke her status, even if they were unhappy with the situation.

Three hours later, the Pyrite Soul King summoned every Soul King and Soul Queen to his Soul Palace for a eting, stressing its importance. Since it was a high-level eting, no Soul Attendants were permitted to participate.
As such, all the Soul Kings and Soul Queens were imdiately baffled by Nephrita's presence upon their arrival.
"Pyrite Soul King, what's the an of this? Are you giving your favorite Soul Attendant preferential treatnt?" the Flower Soul Queen questioned, feeling slightly displeased.
The Pyrite Soul King ignored the Flower Soul Queen and glanced at Nephrita, urging her, "Introduce yourself."
"Yes!" Nephrita stepped forward and stated, "I am the new Soul Queen of the Jadesky Territory. You can all call Nephrite Soul Queen."
Right after finishing her introduction, the Soul Hall buzzed with chattering, full of surprises and dissatisfaction.
Just when a Soul King was about to confront the Pyrite Soul King about it, the Pyrite Soul King demanded silence with a strong tone. In that instance, the Soul Hall beca quiet again.
"I did not summon everyone here to talk about this. We have sothing more important to be worried about; our realm is in danger, and I need your brilliant minds to get us out of it," the Pyrite Soul King solemnly stated.
Everyone was imdiately startled when they saw the Pyrite Soul King's seriousness. However, they didn't understand what threatened them.
"What kind of danger are we in, Pyrite Soul King?" the Frigid Soul King asked.
"The danger of annihilation," the Pyrite Soul King coolly stated before adding, "The Jade Soul King tried to poach the Demigod Soul Master from Gehenna and offended its Realm Lord."
"In his death, he uncovered Thanatos' strength; he is not an ordinary Realm Lord but a genuine one with the full power of the Gehenna Star behind him."
"Do you understand what this entails?" the Pyrite Soul King quizzed his peers.
"If Thanatos can use the full power of the Gehenna Star, he is basically a Divine Knight with a limitless source of power…" the Flower Soul Queen answered with a frown before adding, "It is nearly impossible for anyone below Divine Lords to be his match within his realm."
"In other words, we can't touch Gehenna," the Diamond Soul King stated, looking more solemn. Then, he ntioned, "However, that isn't the main problem, is it?"
"Right… If Thanatos was willing to kill the Jade Soul King during his visit, then that must an the rumors about the Demigod Soul Master are also true…! Dammit! That fool really caused us big trouble!" the Frigid Soul King's eyes widened in realization.
Since the Jade Soul King tried to poach the Demigod Soul Master to study his soul, he had basically offended the Demigod Soul Master and the Realm Lord who protected him.
The Demigod Soul Master was still weak, and the Realm Lord of Gehenna wasn't a threat if they didn't enter Gehenna.
However, the Soul Master Association that could back the Demigod Soul Master had to be feared. If word of the Jade Soul King's actions reached the Soul Master Association, Hades wouldn't be able to survive its wrath.
With a superpower as mighty as the Soul Master Association, even the Skymagia Royal Family would have to think twice before acting. As such, even it wouldn't dare to punish Thanatos for killing the Jade Soul King without serious consideration of the consequences.
"Maybe we can send a representative to Gehenna to share our regret over the Jade Soul King's actions and explain our innocence in the matter?" the Diamond Soul King suggested before adding, "It might not be too late to nd our relationship if we do our best to et their demands and offer them compensation."
"However, another problem arises after that. Even if Gehenna agrees to reconcile with us, Hades will forever be at Gehenna's rcy. They can use the incident to blackmail us whenever and wherever. The atmosphere in the Soul Hall quickly beca heavy and suffocating. No one wanted to die. However, no one wanted to live like slaves either.
"If slavery is the result of choosing peace, then I would… I would… Ugh!" the Frigid Soul King grunted with indecisiveness and mixed feelings.
He wanted to say he would rather risk his life to fight for a better future, but he didn't want to force himself into a dead end.
"If I may, I would like to make a suggestion: While we still have a choice, I believe sending a representative to Gehenna to make peace and de-escalate this situation should be our priority," the Nephrite Soul Queen raised her opinion.
"However, we have to be prepared for a fight as well. That way, it won't be too late to change our minds if Gehenna tries to use the Jade Soul King's incident to extort us repeatedly."
The Flower Soul Queen wanted to sha the Nephrite Soul Queen and teach her to know her place. However, she found it hard to disagree.
