"I can see you have a lot of questions, Sir Vaan. However, I won’t be able to answer them all. If you are interested, you can enroll in classes that explain these things. The Outer Palace has many areas of teaching that aren’t necessarily cultivation-related. You can take your ti exploring them once you are registered."

"I understand, Deacon Quintus."

Shortly after Vaan and Deacon Quintus took an express water channel into the jade city, they arrived at a large, circular information counter in the open square.

Hundreds of fish-n queued in two dozen lines as they awaited their turns to register with the clerks at the information counter.

Deacon Quintus directly took Vaan to the front of the lines, cutting the long queue.

Noble Beings were the prized disciples of the Myriad Sea God Palace. They didn’t need to queue like everyone else. If not for their rarity, a private express queue would have been established just for them.

Of course, not every new fish-man disciple knew this. Even if they did, not everyone would think those jumping the queue were always Noble Beings.

"Oi, what the hell? Can’t you see there’s a line here? We’ve been waiting for ages! What gives you the right to jump ahead of us?!"

A displeased Blue Lobster Fish-man voiced his frustration, causing the area buzzing with gossip to beco silent in an instant.

At the sa ti, all the qualifying fish-n disciples shuffled away, creating distance from the Blue Lobster Fish-man.

Not everyone knew what was going on and simply followed the rest of the crowd blindly, while those who knew glanced at the Blue Lobster Fish-man with gloat or pity.

Deacon Quintus glanced back at the displeased Blue Lobster Fish-man indifferently before turning to his two followers.

"Remove this Qualifier from the Outer Palace. For the cris of disrespecting a Noble Being and questioning a Deacon’s decision, his qualification is revoked."

"Yes, Lord Quintus!"

Under a mixture of surprise and shock from the crowd, the two followers dragged the stunned Blue Lobster Fish-man away.

No matter what the Blue Lobster Fish-man did, he could not resist the strength of the two fish-n holding him.

After all, the Blue Lobster Fish-man was only a late-stage Divine Warrior. He was no match for the Deacon Quintus’ followers, who were both peak-stage Divine Knights.

"That fella sure was unlucky... Who would have known that we would be enrolling alongside a Noble Being this year?"

"He was a fool either way. Deacon Quintus is a late-stage Divine Lord. Who are we to question his actions when we aren’t even official disciples of the Outer Palace yet? That’s not sothing I would dare to do even if I have multiple lives..."

The fish-n qualifiers gossiped among themselves with interest and excitent.

At the sa ti, no one dared to trouble Deacon Quintus and Vaan again. On the contrary, many fish-n qualifiers felt honored that they could join the Outer Palace at the sa ti as a Noble Being.

It made them feel that their batch was special.

anwhile, the ill-inford fish-n within the crowd learned more about Deacon Quintus’ position in the Outer Palace.

It seed that Deacon Quintus’s position was very high. He was only below the elders, vice-palace master, and palace master.

Of course, there were many elders and many more deacons in the Outer Palace. However, to newly enrolled disciples, a deacon still held a lot of power and authority.

After all, below the deacons, there were still the professors, assistant professors, elite disciples, and senior disciples before it was finally them who were about to beco first-grade junior disciples.

"This is Sir Vaan. Please process his registration smoothly and swiftly. I’m sure you don’t need to explain what kind of status he holds."

"Of course, Lord Quintus."

Right after receiving Deacon Quintus’ instruction, the fish-woman clerk obediently complied without hesitation.

The Boundless Sea and Sky Aura inherent in Noble Beings was sothing all marine and sky beings could instinctively sense. As such, it was very easy to confirm Vaan’s status as a Noble Being through simple observation.

To question Vaan’s legitimacy by putting him through a procedural check would be an insult to not only the Noble Beings but all marine and sky beings who worship them as the progenies of the Lord of Boundless Seas and Skies.

No one in their right mind would disrespect their faith, and even fewer would dare to blasphe it by impersonating a Noble Being.

"Please place your hand on this crystal screen, Sir Vaan," the fish-woman clerk politely requested, directing Vaan’s attention to a crystal-clear panel full of microneedles and openings.

After Vaan placed his hand on the said crystal screen, he imdiately felt a slight sting.

The microneedles had easily penetrated his flesh and extracted his blood. The bright goldish-red blood proceeded to sink to the bottom of the crystal screen, where a crystal vial of clear fluids was attached.

Once Vaan’s blood flowed into the crystal vial, the clerk pulled it out of the crystal screen and plugged it into a cylindrical hole in the towering crystal pillar behind her.

Monts later, the crystal pillar lit up with a string of information related to Vaan.

Although everything was written in Gaian characters, Vaan understood everything perfectly due to the world’s governing language law. He was surprised to see his na, bone age, and cultivation level displayed on the bigger screen.

However, Vaan suspected that wasn’t all the information extracted from his blood, only the ones chosen to be displayed.

Vaan was imdiately worried that his secrets had been exposed. He didn’t expect the Myriad Sea God Palace to possess such advanced thods of information extraction.

Perhaps even his life’s entire history was extracted from his blood. But was that really possible?

"Huh?"

Just as the clerk suddenly uttered with confusion, all the information on the crystal pillar blurred before turning red with pop-up error alerts.

At the sa ti, the other registration desk clerks at the round counter also turned around to look with surprise.

"What’s going on with the server? Did it get overloaded? Or is this a virus attack?" the clerks wondered.

Before the clerks could investigate further, the crystal pillar suddenly lost all of its light displays, becoming dull and lifeless.

Monts later, the crystal pillar emitted light again, restoring the previous information on display.

Evidently, the operating system had crashed and rebooted itself. It was unclear how much information was lost in the process, but it had restored its functions and resud operations.

Vaan couldn’t help but wonder if this situation was a lucky coincidence or a preditated result.

Nevertheless, it seed to work in his favor. Thus, he had no complaints.

’How fortunate,’ Vaan thought.
