Now reading: Chapter 1179: Empyrean Oceanheart’s Matchmaking Favor from The Witch Hunter System, a Action novel by Pointbreak.

"I intend to send my great-granddaughter to the Grand Unity Human Clan with you. I hope you two can look after each other while you are there," Empyrean Oceanheart ntioned before adding, "I believe you should have t her already."

Vaan imdiately knew she was referring to Seraphina Delmare, one of his past clients who practically handed him sugar mommy money.

After all, it was not a difficult guess.

Seraphina’s status was simply too startling. She was a Daughter of Heaven, soone born with superior talent from the union of two Empyrean-level bloodlines.

"Indeed, I have. Lady Seraphina was quite generous with her paynt," Vaan admitted before saying, "This is a small favor. I don’t have a problem with it. Perhaps I will have to rely on Lady Seraphina during my stay at the Grand Unity Human Clan."

"You’re not wrong about that, Sir Vaan. With Seraphina’s paternal blood ties, you will benefit from associating with her. If you two can even beco life-bound companions, you’ll have a powerful Empyrean Family backing you."

Empyrean Oceanheart nodded approvingly.

However, in the next mont, her gentle, approving expression hardened, and she stared at Vaan seriously.

"But it won’t be easy to get the Empyrean-level Human Clan’s acknowledgent. In fact, it might beco an obstacle, standing between you and Seraphina. As such, it might be in your best interest to win over her heart as soon as possible," Empyrean Oceanheart said aningfully.

It was not difficult for Vaan to see that Empyrean Oceanheart was trying to play matchmaker, hoping to tie him to the rfolk race.

Of course, he wasn’t against this idea either. Thus, he smiled wryly.

"More importantly, there are many things for you to watch out for while you are staying at the Grand Unity Human Clan. Don’t think for a second that the Grand Unity Human Clan is like the Myriad Sea God Palace."

"The Grand Unity Human Clan operates by different rules. It doesn’t have many restrictions on competition between the younger generations. As such, competition over there is very intense and bloody."

"Furthermore, even by human standards, Seraphina’s beauty is definitely top-tier. She’ll have countless suitors, and these people will not hesitate to plot against you or even try to kill you."

"As such, the danger you will have to face there will also be unlike anything you have experienced here," Empyrean Oceanheart stated seriously.

To be honest, if it weren’t for the divination results, Empyrean Oceanheart would not have wanted to send Vaan to the Grand Unity Human Clan.

She didn’t believe in the Grand Unity Human Clan’s philosophy, which forged its geniuses through unending trials and tribulations.

The constant sches and trials killed off too many geniuses to produce the best.

If not for the Human Clan’s unrivaled comprehension and ability to produce constant batches of geniuses, the Grand Unity Human Clan would have already fallen into decline from internal strife.

That said, the Grand Unity Human Clan still had its rules.

Thus, Empyrean Oceanheart believed that, with Vaan’s intelligence and resourcefulness, he would not easily fall prey to the other human geniuses’ sches and machinations.

Perhaps only an environnt like the Grand Unity Human Clan could help Vaan draw out his full potential and thrive.

Of course, it wasn’t just Empyrean Oceanheart who thought this; Vaan believed it too.

During his stay in the Myriad Sea God Palace, he could sense that he was getting too comfortable with the peace and security of the environnt, allowing him to cultivate at his own pace.

Although his cultivation was smooth, it was not as fast as he had hoped it to be.

He needed a more dangerous environnt to push him to stimulate his potential beyond his normal limits.

Comfort was only the death of progress.

"Don’t worry about this, Empyrean Oceanheart. I am fully aware of this. Dangers and opportunities always co in pairs," Vaan calmly smiled.

He truly believed this saying.

As such, he also believed that if he could overco his fated death divined by Empyrean Oceanheart, a trendous opportunity awaited him.

For this reason, he was just as fearful of the future and was even sowhat looking forward to it.

"Since you say so, I will spare you my nagging. Given your talent, you will indeed figure out a lot of things on your own," Empyrean Oceanheart acknowledged with a nod before saying, "I will call Seraphina over."

"You two take advantage of this ti to beco more familiar with each other. You may not get as many opportunities once you’ve arrived at the Grand Unity Human Clan."

"I understand."

Vaan forced a smile, thinking Empyrean Oceanheart was truly too eager to marry her great-granddaughter to him.

All he could say was that the Boundless Sea and Sky Aura’s influence was simply too overbearing. By simply generating so goodwill and appreciation, the Boundless Sea and Sky Aura would magnify their effects multiple tis over.

Otherwise, Vaan didn’t believe he would receive such preferential treatnt from Empyrean Oceanheart and the others of the sea race.

’Sigh. Just by being a genius, others are willing to offer a wife,’ Vaan silently lanted.

However, what kind of person was he? Since when did he need others to give him a wife? He could find them himself.

That said, the Boundless Sea and Sky Aura truly made it easy to find life-bound companions among the sea and sky races. If he abused it, he could easily have an overwhelming number of wives.

This was definitely not the right way to use the Boundless Sea and Sky Aura.

Varuna would have coughed up blood in anger if he were another person.

Swoosh!

Not long after Empyrean Oceanheart disappeared, she returned with a confused Seraphina.

Evidently, the latter was not very inford.

Vaan suspected that Empyrean Oceanheart only told her about her plans to send them to the Grand Unity Human Clan together and nothing else.

’It seems Empyrean Oceanheart still wants to put in a bit of effort to win over Seraphina’s heart. Ultimately, this is the pearl of the rmaid race. Empyrean Oceanheart would still have so reluctance in handing her over to an outsider,’ Vaan mused.

"Hahaha, I have things to do now. I’ll just leave you two young folks here to do your own things," Empyrean Oceanheart made an excuse to leave them alone.

"This..."

Seraphina stared at the empty spot, where Empyrean Oceanheart had disappeared. She was not prepared for this. Thus, her heart started beating wildly.

Ever since she was made aware of her great-grandmother’s intentions, her mind had been occupied with thoughts of Vaan. The more she thought of him, the more fond of him she beca.

It was like she was slowly being brainwashed into loving him. Yet, she didn’t hate this feeling of budding love. Thus, she didn’t have much resistance towards it either.

However, it was an entirely different story for her great-grandmother to suddenly throw her into the deep end and disappear!

She wasn’t ntally prepared at all!

’What do I do? What do I do?’

Seraphina panicked, with her back facing Vaan. She could feel her bodily temperature rising, her cheeks becoming hot, and her heart thumping loudly like it wanted to jump out of her chest.

Ba-dump! Ba-dump! Ba-dump!

"It’s nice to see you again, Lady Seraphina. I pray you have been in good health?" Vaan politely inquired, maintaining respectful etiquette.

"Ahem!" Seraphina cleared her throat of murky water and forced out a stiff reply, "Yeah, with a bunch of people watching over , how can I not be?"

Seraphina quickly regretted speaking, thinking her words had been too rude and insensitive.

Vaan responded with a simple smile since it didn’t concern him.

"Did Empyrean Oceanheart inform you about her plans to send us to the Grand Unity Human Clan?" Vaan casually asked.

"Mm." Seraphina nodded with growing excitent, finding an easier topic to talk about. She quickly asked back, "Have you been to the Grand Unity Human Clan before? It’s a very fun place."

"A fun place?" Vaan smiled wryly, thinking only soone like Seraphina could say this. He shook his head, replying, "No, I have not. What makes it fun, if you don’t mind asking?"

"Well, there are a lot of fun toys and fun people to play with," Seraphina quickly answered before pausing with contemplation shortly after. Then, she added awkwardly, "Err, at least, it was the case in my childhood."

"It may not be that interesting now," Seraphina said after further thought.

"Have you not been back there since your childhood, Lady Seraphina?" Vaan casually inquired with so interest.

Given her talents, he didn’t think her paternal side would let her maternal side keep her away for so long.

"No," Seraphina answered Vaan’s doubt, saying, "I haven’t been back since I was ten. The ancestors agreed to let stay at the Myriad Sea God Palace with my maternal side for ten years before proceeding to let stay at the Grand Unity Human Clan with my paternal side for the next ten years."

"Speaking of the promised ten years, it’s just about the right ti to return. I wonder if my paternal relatives still rember ?" Seraphina pondered.
